20 Elephant and ant

Shou's POV

* I bet she is upset now. This voice is clearly The king's voice. However, he is usually kind and respectful to other people. At the moment, the way he is speaking sounds totally arrogant. Something's not right for sure.*

Shou patted Mei Shu's head and nodded gently to her. Mei Shu felt at ease a bit. Then Shou whispered to Mei Shu in her ears, " Stay here. I will come back later. Don't go anywhere. It's best to stay here silently."

He said those words and left , leaving Mei Shu alone. Mei Shu just listened to him and stayed there.

Shou saw a soldier carrying food from storage. He followed him secretly and knocked him out when they arrived at a place with no people nearby.

He took off that person's clothes and put them on him. Shou disguised himself as a soldier and walked around the camp.

There were many soldiers and all of them were well-trained from what he could see. He knew that he and Mei Shu alone can't fight them if there's any danger. Even if they can fight, they can only protect themselves.

Shou continued walking and he went near the camp where the king and the other person was talking [ where he left Mei Shu ] .

When he arrived in front of the camp, the gaurds who were in front of it , stopped him from entering.

He pay respect to them and said, " I am here to see the king and general. I have something important to report. Please let me in."

The gaurds looked at eachother and shook their head and one guard replied to Shou, " The king and general is discussing something important. We can't allow anyone to go inside and disturb them. Leave immediately or don't blame us for being impolite."

Shou knew he couldn't enter unless he said something important. So he shouted in a voice that The king and general could hear ; " YOUR MAJESTY!! I AM HERE TO REPORT SOMETHING IMPORTANT. I HEARD THAT THE PRINCESSS JUST FOUND OUT YOU HAVE COME HERE AND SHE IS CURRENTLY ON HER WAY NOW!! "

Mei Shu heard Shou's voice and was shocked.

" Why did he say that? Wouldn't it alert them if they know it? What are we going to do next now? ", she was worried and curious at the same time.

But surely, she believed that Shou had a plan so he did it.

After hearing Shou's words, the king and general of light kingdom immediately came out of the camp. They ordered the guards to go away and ordered Shou to come into the tent.

In conclusion, Shou's first step of his plan was succeeded..

In the tent , there was only one chair and the king sat on it. The general sat on the floor in shame. Shou sat down a little far from general and he then pay respect to them.

The king didn't say anything at first and remained silent. Shou didn't say anything.

" Now it's a problem. Mei Shu will hear everything we discuss and talk from outside. By looking at the king, he will surely says something related to Mei Shu and it will certainly be the words that might hurt Mei Shu. She is a brave and strong person but she can't bear the pain from her beloved ones. If anything happens to her... I don't dare think about it. For now, I need to take off the mask of this cunning king. But I can't make him admit those from his mouth. I have to push him away and then ask this general. One wrong move and the game will be over.", Shou was remaining quiet outside but he was thinking details about his plan in his mind.

The enemy he is facing right now is not someone normal. He said to Mei Shu that their enemy is dumb just to make her less worried.

After remaining quiet for a moment, the king said to Shou, " You passed my test. "

Shou made a dumbfounded face to pretend that he didn't know but he actually knew that the king was testing him. That's why he reamined quiet and didn't say anything.

Shou acted dumbfounded and asked the king, " what do you mean, Your Majesty? "

The king grinned and answered, " You don't deserved to know about this king and don't you dare question me or that day will be your last day. "

Shou felt the king's killing intent towards him. He nodded and acted as he was in fear in front of the king.

" How do I make him get out of here? I can't act recklessly or he will be suspicious. " , Shou thought.

" I will go for a walk for a while. Don't come with me.", the king orderd them and left the tent. Now, Shou had a chance..

He made sure that the king has gone and he then went closer to the general.

" Some people have power but when they are in front of the real power, they become an ant in front of an elephant. However, even an ant can make an elephant hurt and struggle in pain. What's more, it's true that the elephant is bigger than ant. But he can't kill the ant just by stepping onto the ant. The ant can't be killed because it's too small under the elephant's feet. If he tries, he can even hurt the elephant. " , Shou said.

He pretended like he was self talking but he actually was talking to the general.

The general knew it and asked Shou," what are you referring to say? What exactly do you mean? "

" General Tianyu, you are a well educated man and you have wider knowledge than I am. I am sure you have heard about the example I just told. The elephant liked to bully the ant as he was smaller than him. But the ant decided to take revenge one day. And he entered the elephant's trunk while the elephant was sleeping. And he bit his trunk. The elephant couldn't do anything about it but to beg the ant. ", Shou answered while glancing at general.
