"It took a lot of sacrifices, to finally able to defeat you, but it seems that you are still kicking like a cockroach and just don't know when to die, do you?"

"Haaa, let's get this over with, I need to find a healer. Ace took my left arm, so let's just kill him."

Currently in front of me, where 4 people. They were the strongest players in the world. I was currently laying on a tree and had a few cuts and holes in me. I was also covered in ice, this was because of there magics. I looked at my status to see my condition, to see if I have a chance to survive.

I was wearing a mask as I hide my identity from the world and used a code name. I just laid there, looking at those four recalling information on them.

The first one that spoke was rank number 4, he was a man of justice. Well at least in his eyes that was the case but to me he was just a government dog.

He was a tanker and used a huge shield and axe. He had no problem holding it as he was probably as strong physically wise as rank one and two. His body was also very durable.

His name was Tyler, and he worked with the government to control and suppress players. Overall he was a good guy but the people around him mislead him into believing the things he was doing was for justice.

See, Tyler is a good man, but he is too trusting which leads him to believe that he was always doing stuff for the people and in the name of justice.

And to a person like him, I would be a bad guy. Which if I was honest, I was 100% the bad guy but still the government had mad my crimes seem way worst then they were actually. There were even times were they use other villains like me as a scapegoat for their crimes.

So I guess Tyler is here for the right reasons but still he is mislead by the people around him. How do I know this? Well that's because I use to work with him.

I used to be a hero until I was framed as a villain, since the government wanted to eliminate me. Now the reason for me being eliminated was because of potential and threat to them.

It's cliche, but the reason they wanted to kill me is because I was a loose cannon, and in a way a unknown variable in their system.

The second person that talk was called Ian, he was a arrogant and cocky man. The reason for his personality was because he was the strongest mage.

Even though he was rank number 3, he was the strongest mage as the top 2 were magical swordsman.

Ian was raised in a rich family, he had every thing he needed to succeed in life. This got to his head and he started to act as if everything and everyone was below him.

In reality, I could tell he is a coward. I mean there's a reason that he never comes in close range and always attacks from a distance.

Mages are good long range fighters but it gets less effective the longer the distance. Like when a mage casts a spell, it takes time to arrive and by then someone can doge it.

Ian was no different, he had to chant but the only difference was that he was a space mage. This made his attacks invisible to the naked eye. This gave him an advantage but he was still scared of being hit and killed.

He would even teleport and run away, if someone could actually doge his attacks. Even though he is a coward, his magic is no joke. He alone could cause more damage in 20 minutes than 100 S rank hunters can do in a week.

Now this information wasn't that well known, as he was rank number 3 but to people that were in his level knew. Even if only the top 10, they still knew he was a coward.

The third person that spoke was Greg, he was what you call a chill guy. He hated doing annoying task but if he had to do it, he would. He was a person that rather watch TV than go out.

He was rank number 5, he is an assassin. Not much is known about Greg as he didn't go out in the public as much as Ian and Tyler.

But there was still some information about him, like he was getting up in age and was planned to retire. He even has a family but no one would threatened him or his family.

The reason being is because he was the strongest assassin as he was rank number 5. So, killing is in his nature and he was good at it.

He uses short swords or daggers as his main weapons and uses shadow magic. He uses his magic as a way to support and strengthen his body.

Now the last person that spoke was basically unknown. All that is know is that she is a female and ranked number 2.

She was a magical swordsman like me, and used a rapier. Her magic was called Frost magic, but I knew there was more to her magic then it seem. Her magic was able to freeze and slow down anything, so it was far from normal magic.

She wore a mask like me to hide her identity like I was currently wearing. From what I can tell she was more of the quiet type that only talked for a bit.

Now for the last person who is here, me. I'm Ace, I am rank number one and know as the current strongest player.

I was a former hero who kept his identity a secret, and was branded as a villain once my "Past Crimes" was revealed.

Now I did do some of the crimes but most of them were lies, so that the government would have a reason to hunt and imprison me or just kill me.

I am a Magical Swordsmen, who uses a very unique element called Chrono. It basically time magic and what help me reach rank number 1.

My identity wasn't known, and it seems that the world had thought of me as a truly awful person. So I left for good, I didn't do anything else expect for relaxing and enjoying life.

I even found myself a girlfriend and life was going great. My girlfriend is an amazing person, she would talk about interesting things and how she wants to help the world.

But as always life happens, and apparently my "Hero" now villain identity appeared. I did some research into it and found out that the government was using my name to cover it up.

This time, they were covering up a massacre of civilians. It included children and elders, it was bad. Apparently one of the higher member of the government wanted to get stronger by signing a contract with a devil.

When it was happening, some how the devil got free and went on a rampage and no heroes could respond as the government wanted to cover it up.

So they sent Tyler to clean up there mess, and he killed the devil. Lots of people died and people wanted answers, so they blamed someone for there crimes and they chose me.

To me, that was the final point. I decided to kill all the corrupt members, and that's what I did. I had returned for there killing.

That's when the government order a man hunt on me, with a huge reward. It worked as even ranked number 2 came, she would usually only appear if there was a threat to people.

There were around 200 hundred high rankers and a 20 Kings/Queens. The ranking when from 10,000 and above were rankers, 1000 and above were high rankers. Then the top 100 were known as Kings/Queens because they were usually so much stronger.

It was a rough battle for me as it was the worlds best players against me, I was able to kill most of them only leaving the top 5, that's kinda ironic, if you think about it.

"Damn, so this is the end?" I said in a raspy voice as they seem to have damaged my vocal cords.

"So, who's going to take off his mask?" Greg asked curious to see the face of the man who cause this much death.

"I shall do it, as I am the strongest magician!" Ian said probably wanting to take lots of the credit for defeating me, so that he could be more famous.

"Hurry up, we don't have all day. I have things to report." Tyler said as he was probably tiring to figure out how to report this battle.

Then Ian slowly approached me, and took off my mask. I moved a little and this seem to have made him flinch and scream a bit. What a coward.

I couldn't resist as my Magic reserve were depleted and my body was a wreck. When Tyler saw Ian flinched at my movement, he just sighed and grab my mask.

That when my face was revealed, it was currently covered in blood but they could see my features. My hair was a mess but that added to my charm. I was a handsome guy, with not pale skin but it wasn't tan either, it was white with a hint of tan. Than my eyes, that were clearly visible. They were green and seem like emeralds.

The four just looked at me, they seem a little bewildered that I was just a handsome guy and not a bald dude with a scar on my face.

Then I saw rank number 2 reaction, she was stunned and seem to shaken up by my face reveal. I was confused but I felt it was my time to go, then I saw her take off her mask.

She had light blue eyes and blonde hair, she was extremely beautiful. Her face had one scar, but it seem to have added to her charm in the right way.

I was shocked, when I saw her face. It was a face I could recognize anywhere and anytime, it was my girlfriend Amy. She currently had tears in her eyes and was crying.

"Dummy! Why! Out of everyone in the world, why did it have to be you!? Your dying because of me! I'm so sorry, it's my fault!" Amy said in tears as she was one of the reasons for my current condition.

"Hey, no need to scream. I didn't know it was you either, and I fought you with the intention to kill you. It's a good thing I didn't or I would have regretted it my whole life."I said in a weak voice as I was currently dying and had no energy left, just my pure Will power.

"No, please don't leave me, I will be all alone. I'm sorry, so please just survive, please. Let's get married, and live a peaceful life together, doesn't that sound great?" Amy said in tears as she seem to be barging with me, it seems that she is trying to coop with my future death.

"Hey, it's going to be alright. Think about it, you killed me the rank number 1 player. Now you are number 1, isn't that great?"I told Amy trying to make the best out of this situation.

"Not if your not there to celebrate it with me, if you're not there, it's meaningless"Amy said while she pulled out her sword again and placed next to neck.

"Hey! What are you doing?!"I said in a panic as she put her sword next to her neck, but after I finished my sentence I spat out blood.

"I hope to see you soon."Amy said as she looked at me in tears and about to pierce he head.

I just did ever thing in my power to stop her, I used my skill [Chronos Legacy] to stop time but it seems that because of my emotions and my life force depleting, as well as my body itself. It seems that I sacrifice a lot and released a sphere of green energy.

It covered me and Amy, and it seem to have vaporized our bodies, as we slowly started to disappear.

I just close my eyes and just wait for me to go, as it seems that I have just killed myself with that final magic I used. Then all I saw was darkness.
