3 Bread Crams

Hough quickly turned and head towards the exit. Kim was left in a daze but quickly regained his composure and followed Hough. He yelled at Hough to hold the elevator and then slid inside and both of them quietly waited to reach the ground floor. Hough was very intrigued by this case and he tapped his right foot as he waited for the door to open. 'Ting' the door opened and Hough was in a hurry to exist but was stopped by Kim.

[Kim]: Where are you going?

[Hough]: What are you talking about to the car of course?

[Kim]: That piece of crap, no you are riding with me.

[Hough]: I am driving.

[Kim]: Fine I don't care let's just go.

Hough and Kim walked together towards the parking lot. Hough then stopped in front of a black Dodge Challenger. He circled the car then looked at Kim with a puzzled face.

[Hough]: Car keys please these doors won't open with magic.

Kim tossed the key to his side and unlocked the car. They entered the car and drove away to their destination. While in the car Kim was not unable to settle, he moved around a lot. Hough unable to stand it anymore asked.

[Hough]: What is wrong?

[Kim]: I am just worried about my car.

[Hough]: I thought you didn't care.

[Kim]: yea but the car is expensive and it's still new.

[Hough]: Don't worry we are just driving to a park, What can go wrong?

[Kim]: ....

Kim was unable to answer Hough who was extremely confident. Once they reached the garden, they parked the car and waited inside. They scanned the area looking for any suspicious people. After two hours, a black saloon car pulled over and a man came out. Hough was the first to notice the assailants and notified Kim.

[Hough]: Those dumb people came. Look over there.

[Kim]: Your plan worked, let's go and greet them.

They got off the car crossed the street and entered the busy garden area. They maneuvered their way through the busy group of people. Soon the came face to face with the person. They quietly stared at each other until the man spoke.

[Mercenary]: Who are you two?

[Hough]: We are special people.

[Mercenary]: Why do that guy look like a cop.

Hough turned to Kim with a blunt face and shifted his gaze to his waist. The cop budge was mounted on his waist and people could see it very clearly. Hough sighed and turned to the man and answered.

[Hough]: Your confused his the tooth fairy.

[Mercenary]: Why would a tooth fairy be here?

Hough then clenched his fist and hit him on the face with all his might. The man then fell like a vegetable and one of his teeth fell out. Kim then turned to Hough who was holding his hand.

[Kim]: That is against police protocol.

[Hough]: Did you have any other ideas?

Hough then squatted next to the unconscious man and examined him. He looked through his pocket and pulled his wallet. He then read the driver's licence and found his name.

'So your Christopher'

Soon cops arrived in the area and took away the unconscious man into an ambulance. Kim and Hough walked together towards the car. They entered the car and before Hough could switch on the car Kim stopped him.

[Kim]: Tell me what is going on.

[Hough]: It's a long story.

[Kim]: I have time.

[Hough]: I looked through the case and I have enough evidence that James was targeted. It was not a robbery gone wrong, my first suspect was John.

[Kim]: Now Kim is missing. Do you think he ran away?

[Hough]: I checked his office there was nothing out of the normal except some weird scratch marks.

[Kim]: Where do the lead?

[Hough]: That is the weird part. It leads towards the window.

[Kim]: Isn't the office almost 8 stories high?

[Hough]: Yes it is, I suspect someone came through the window.

Kim began to think hard on why someone might go to such lengths to acquire a person. Then shouldn't there be evidence of tempering on the window? He quickly turned towards Hough who had a calm face.

[Hough]: I inspected the windows and there were no signs of tempering but I found a small amount of soil.

[Kim]: Soil?

[Hough]: I am just as confused as you are maybe that man would give us some answers if you interrogate the gentleman and I will interview the wife.

Kim nodded in approval and soon enough they returned to the office. They parked the car and got out. Hough turned and began to walk away but came to standstill.

[Hough]: Also, don't forget to check the gun it might be the murder weapon.

[Kim]: I will take care of it.

Hough continued to walk and soon was out of sight. Hough reached his car and got inside. He gently massaged his head to relieve some of the stress. He then pulled off a file and started to find the address of Mr. John. Using his index finger he navigated through the pages, he then stopped and double-tapped the area written 'Address'. Satisfied he placed the file on the passenger seat, switched on his car and began his journey. While driving he started to think about the case, all the evidence pointed to kidnapping but he had no idea how it happened. He pulled into the driveway and got out. He used the side mirror to check himself, he ran his fingers through his silky black hair. Convinced he stood upright and rang the doorbell. A voice could be heard from inside.

[Jane]: I will be with you shortly.

Hough nervously waited outside until the sound of a door being unlocked could be heard. The door swung open and a mid-aged woman greeted him.

[Jane]: Hello, how can I help you?

[Hough]: I am detective Hough, May I come inside.

[Jane]: If you don't mind may you show me your budge.

Hough reached into his back pocket and pulled his wallet. Inside lay his identification and showed it to Jane. Jane read the card diligently before returning it, Hough.

[Jane]: Sorry, you can never be too careful these days.

[Hough]: I understand.

Hough entered the house and started to stare around. It was a simple home which was moderately decorated, it was not what Hough had pictured and he had a thought on the reason why. Jane then led Hough towards the living room and offered him a sit. Hough politely declined as he continued to look around the living room. Jane excused herself.

[Jane]: Please make yourself at home, I will bring some tea.

[Hough]: Thank you again.

As he was looking around something caught his attention. There were no pictures of the family in the living room. Hough's face frowned as he started to become worried about the entire situation. He then silently spoke to himself.

[Hough]: I am in the wrong house.

Satisfied he sat down on the couch and Jane entered shortly carrying a tray with a teapot and two cups. She carefully placed the teacups and filled them with tea. Jane sat down on the opposite side and sipped a little bit of her tea then spoke.

[Jane]: Is it about my husband, I already told everything the previous police officers.

Hough looked down on the cup and then answered.

[Hough]: I hope you don't mind going over the details with me.

[Jane]: Of course, I will.

Hough sat upright, pulled his note pad, and went through the pages. The mood became tense as silence engulfed the entire room. Suddenly Hough started to question Jane.

[Hough]: At what does he return home?

[Jane]: He usually comes home late or stays overnight in his office.

[Hough]: What then made you make the call that he was missing?

[Jane]: He usually notifies me.

[Hough]: I see.

Hough started to jolting the information given to him into his note pad. Jane sat still not uttering a single word. Hough resumed his questioning.

[Hough]: Was there anyone who wished to harm your husband?

[Jane]: Of course, he had enemies considering his business but no one ever wished to harm him.

[Hough]: I see, thank you.

Hough closed his notepad and returned it to his pocket. He reached out for his cup of tea and drunk a little bit. Jane was surprised by his actions as she thought the questioning was over.

[Hough]: How is your relationship between the two of you?

[Jane]: I beg your pardon.

[Hough]: Be truthful with me, I won't include this into my report.

Jane's face turned pale as she started to shake. Unable to look Hough into his eyes she stared down. Hough once again raised his voice and asked Jane.

[Hough]: Was your husband cheating?
