5 The World of Ru

"I do not understand. According to you- you are the only one able to summon me. But you are saying that you didn't. What does that mean?"

'This boy has a long-winded way of speaking. I am going to die of frustration!' -Lucia thought inwardly.

The boy stood up and laughed! "Let's go. I'll show you my world. A host has to be hospitable to the honored guest. Welcome to the World of Ru."

"Can you first tell me your name?" - the frustrated girl yelled out loud.

"Seth."

It was a one word reply.

"Where are we going? Do you think I can go back?"

"We are going to the West-woods to find Lydia. And for your second question..you'll return when the time is up. So don't worry about it."

"Oh. Why are we visiting Lydia? She is shy, isn't she? Will she be interested in meeting us?"

"She will.. cause it is me not that stalker Geofrei."

Seth grinned mischievously.

"But first we have to set a trap for Geofrei or he'll make our meeting a mess."

Seth and Lucia walked into the western part of the forest. This part of the forest has less colors then the other areas. Eastern woods was mostly green with a bit of yellow in it. Moss covered ground and green tree barks.

Leaves were many shades of green. Lighter or more darker hues. In the darker parts of the woods, there were the floating lights just like in the cave. But this lights floating around are all green of different shades but green nonetheless.

"Is green her favourite color?" Lucia was curious.

"Do you need to have a favorite color?" Seth wondered.

"Well let us make the trap. I can detect Geofrei nearby."

The boy then walked into a clearing on the right and put his hands on the Moss covered ground.

"What are you doing?"

"Can't you see I'm making traps? Come here and help."

"Don't you use any twigs or ropes to make a trap? Or perhaps a net?"

"Like it'd be that easy to trap Geofrei? He is not a mortal and neither a null.. little cub."

"I am not a cub!" Lucia felt annoyed.

"What kind of trap can hold him then? And I am a null! Will my help work?"

"Though you are a null.. but the world you came from is different. And the elemental plane is a secluded place. So Geofrei has no knowledge about other worlds. We are going to trap him using this point.."

Looking at her questioning face Seth started to explain..

"We will make a Riddle trap. You will ask a question which is related to your world and this trap here will record it. When Geofrei walks into this are the trap will be activated and ask him that question. If he answers correctly the trap will break but as long as he can't hehe.." Seth gave a creepy laughter.

"What if he can't answer the question? What will happen to him?" -Lucia felt a bit worried and sweaty seeing the creepy smile but still asked.

"That's where the fun thing comes in. The second mechanism set in the trap will be auto activated everytime he answers wrong."

"There is a second mechanism?!!"

"Hehe. It's the stinky part of the trap. Per every wrong answer the stink covering the trap will be doubled. He will stink like Rumel's poop for days." Seth started to laugh like a madman.

Grimacing Lucia came over to the designated place and asked a question.

"~Who is the president of US?~"

"That'll do." Seth pressed his hands on the ground again and a purple light glowed in his palm and mist started to cover the clearing.

"But I didn't record the answer!"

Seth gave her a look and snickered.

"There's no need. He wouldn't know the answer anyway. So there's no need to set a answer. Everything he says is INCORRECT!! haha"

Seth started his weird laughter again and Lucia was speechless. 'Does this boy has a grudge against his brother?!'

"Come over. We need to hide."

Seth clasped her hand and teleported away from the clearing. They settled down on a nearby tree branch and Seth took out some fruits to munch on. The fruit looked a bit like strawberries but was golden in color and tested like sour-apple mixed with honey. Lucia ate with relish.

"What fruit is it?"

"It doesn't have a name. At least nobody gave one yet. Do you have a name suitable for it?"

"Let me think! How about Apney berry? It tastes like apple and honey and looks like strawberries. So it's Apney berry!!"

Seth gave her a blank look. "Though I don't know what you are talking about but Apney berry it is. I shall remember the name."

They sat side by side on the branch and shared the Apney berries.

The forest was oddly noiseless. Lucia suddenly noticed the fact. There was only the sound of wind blowing through the leaves nothing else.

"Why is this place so devoid of creatures?" Lucia wondered aloud.

"This world is very young only 10000 years old and yet to give birth to the creatures. There is only 9 sentient being in this world right now and all other things are for their convenience."

Seth looked lost in memory. There was a blank look in his eyes.

"Why did you call me a cub?" -Lucia suddenly asked.

Seth looked at her and smiled gently.

"Because you are a cub."

"I am already 17. I am not a cub anymore."

"You are to me." Seth sighed.

"As I was born along this world."
