THEY both became busy after the conversation in the car. She knew that the others were curious what happened because the gap between them is so obvious. Dustin was casually talking to her now and just approach or talk to her because of work.

She don't understand herself why she's sullen about it even thought she knew that it was her fault. She sometimes thought of talking to him and mock that it's easy for him to give up on her. She keeps on reminding herself that it's for the better. Although she miss everything about him now.

"Selena, are you going to the site, now?" Frey asked her when she saw her at the lobby.

"Yes. The new deliveries of the materials are coming today. Do you need anything Miss Frey?"

"Yes. Can you give this to engineer Abeles?" she gave him a storage tube. "That's a blueprint of the park. He forgot about it when he came yesterday."

"S-sure." She took the storage tube. "But, wait, Miss Frey, who is engineer Abeles?"

"Ah, right, you were not around yesterday because it was your day off. He's our new Head Engineer. He'll handle the VRE project from now on. He came back from abroad and wanted to settle down here now, so when Dustin asked him to work here, he didn't hesitate. He's also one of our friends back in college."

Selena didn't hear the rest of what she said, only the part that he's the new engineer that handle the VRE project no. that was the project she's working at the moment and the engineer is supposed to be Dustin.

"You mean Dustin is no longer the Head Engineer on this project?" she asked confused.

"Yes." Miss Frey answered with a knot on her forehead. "You didn't know?" She just shook her head. "Selena, you know that I don't usually getting involve to the personal life of my subordinates but, are you and Dustin okay? Yesterday, he seems so serous which is unusual for him. Then he immediately hired engineer Abeles to take his position after a day of convincing his uncle. Plus, others were also talking about the changes with the both of you. Did you two fought or something? Did you break up already?"

"Break up? We never had a relationship, Miss Frey." She admitted. Although she knew it was her fault why the sudden change in Dustin.

"Really?" she asked confused but then brushed it off after. "I get it. Anyways, thanks for that." She pinted at the tube then left her speechless.

She's still thinking about Dustin. She didn't thought that he will do something like that. She just wanted them to stay strangers but not leave like that making everyone confused. She should be happy for that but she felt gloomier knowing he left.

The workers on the site was just staring at her, unlike before, when he's with Dustin that they all greeted her. They were all like that before Dustin came though, so everything went back to her old image.

"You must be architect Valentine?" A guy approached him and while looking at him, he must be the new enginner Miss Rey was talking about.

"Yes. And you must be engineer Abeles. Hi, nice to meet you." She greeted formally and shook his hands. "By the way, here's what Miss Frey wanted to give you." She handled the storage tube.

"Thanks."

She unintentionally raised an eyebrow when he took off the blueprint in there and checked. As if checking if it's really the blueprint he needed. So, what did he think of her? Trying to sabotage the work and change the blueprint into something else?

"Who designed the park, if I may asked?" The guy asked again.

"Architect Diaz, she's one of the best landscape architect we have."

"I see." He nodded and left. Just like that.

Okay. So she's going to work with this guy until the project is done. Great. Note the sarcasm.

Days had past that her life seems to be incomplete and gloomy. She felt that something is missing. She can't enjoy her work now. And she definitely knew the reason why. She had no idea that Dustin Ferdinand Redwood had that huge effect on her now.

Even in her dreams, she still invaded it. That can't be, she should focus on her work. She can't even think straight now. So she decided to do what she thought is right.
