14 A little extermination

Fenfang pulled out a small piece of paper filled with small written notes. The class was surprised to see evidence, but they knew this was one of the trouble makers' antics to frame Beatrice. It wasn't the first time they did it either, so the class didn't know who was telling the truth.

"I'm giving you the last chance to back out. Are you sure you want to push my buttons?" Beatrice spoke in a threateningly low voice glaring at the Fenfang. The whole entire class felt a chilling aura, no one dared to move a muscle.

Fenfang's heart jumped as she daringly looked at Beatrice's icy cold eyes. "Of course, I am. I have the evidence right here!"

In City A, cheating is to be taken seriously. Once you're caught, you will be expelled from the school. And being in the prominent No. 1 high school of City A, if one were to be expelled, their whole reputation will collapsed instantly. Which is what Fenfang have been trying to do to Beatrice.

She hated Beatrice. Just because she's from a rich family doesn't mean people should worship her like God everywhere she went. She, herself, have plenty of qualifications to be the Queen Bee of this high school. And she envied Beatrice having everything from family to friends to wealth to beauty, it wasn't fair!

The door to the classroom opened with the homeroom teacher coming in to dismiss the students for the day. Mr. Larkins stopped as he felt the atmosphere being tensed, "what's going on?"

"Mr. Larkins, Beatrice cheated on her physics test. I have the evidence right here and everyone saw me pulled this out of her desk" Fenfang started as she held up the evidence in her hand.

The homeroom teacher went to Fenfang and looked at the evidence. He didn't touch it, just glazing it and already can see equations and numbers on it.

"The two of you come" Mr. Larkins pointed at Beatrice and Fenfang. The three left class with the room stilled in silence.

Arriving at the main office, Mr. Larkins looked for the physics teacher who was sitting grading the tests the students had previously finished.

The homeroom teacher explained the situation as the physics teacher's burrows furrowed.

"Miss Broan, you do know cheating can get you expelled right? The National Exam is coming up and you're in your last year of high school, isn't this too much?" The physics teacher, Mr. Hendery said with a face of disappointment. He knew Beatrice was a bright kid, way smarter than any he had teached before. He didn't understand how a bright student could do this, did she cheat her whole way?

"I didn't do it" Beatrice said plainly and calmly.

"Oh please Beatrice! I have the evidence right here!" Fenfang said like a broken record.

"If you don't mind I have a suggestion" Beatrice said catching the attention of the three. "Since this is a crucial part for me as I am in the last year of high school, I do not want to be expelled. So I want to call in the police."

The teachers were stunned and dumbfounded. They couldn't see why they would need to call in the police for a student cheating.

Seeing the look on the teachers' faces Beatrice added, "if I were to be expelled because of her claims, it will ruin my future. Since I have nothing to hide, I want justice. And I have a family's reputation to uphold... unless someone."

Fenfang's face turned red from anger to pale because she knew she wouldn't get away if Beatrice called in the police.

The teachers looked at each other and thought it was reasonable because this can ruin her future, and even worse if she wasn't a cheater in the first place. They should at least take a good approach into dealing with this.

"Alright, I will contact the police" Mr. Larkins said dialing the phone.

Fenfang's legs started to shake and trembled. Her plans were going down the drain, and even worse. It was turning around to target her instead!

It was supposed to be for Beatrice, but now they're having authorities taking care of this. But what can she do? If she back out, she will be suspected because the whole class saw her pulled out the paper out of Beatrice's desk. But if she doesn't back out, the police will find her fingerprints and the school will expelled her instead...

While Fenfang was sweating buckets, Beatrice stood gracefully and diligently.

It only took five minutes for two local policemen to come to the school's office. The teachers explained the situation to the officers and showed the evidence.

"Please take out two clean piece of papers" one of the officers instructed the teacher. "The two students! Place your fingers onto the paper, so when we see the fingerprints on the evidence we can match it."

The evidence and papers are put into a pouch and the officers said they will be back with results in an hour.

The two aren't allowed to leave the office until the officers were back. While sitting in her seat Beatrice said in a mocking tone, "I warned you many times not to push my buttons. This will be the last time you will scheme against me."

Fenfang who was trembling glared back at Beatrice. If eyes could kill, Beatrice would've been killed 100 times. Fenfang was now in a dilemma. Her family only owns a small publishing company which was currently on the rise to popularity. If words gets out that the daughter of the CEO of Yun publishers, their reputation will be ruined. Her father will kill her.

After an hour, the officers came back as promised. They were about to give Mr. Larkins the document of proofs when a figure launched at them. Fenfang "accidentally" tripped as she tries to snatch the evidence and put it in the shredder next to the trash can.

The officer avoided the girl as she fall on the floor and snapped her ankles.

"Ah! My ankles!" Fenfang grabbed her ankle with tears streaming down her face.

"What are you doing? Can't you sit still like Beatrice? Now looked at you!" Mr. Larkins yelled in annoyance.

The officer awkwardly stated, "according to our report of the fingerprints we found the same fingerprints on the evidence... twice. Meaning the same person held it twice and that person is that young ladies over there."

The officer pointed at Fenfang still sitting on the floor and she went into a panic. "That's not possible! I only held it once! I found the evidence in Beatrice's desk! She cheated!"

"Then why did you try to grab the documents? If you were truly innocent, you wouldn't be freaking out like a mad woman!" Said Mr. Hendery.

"We didn't find Beatrice's fingerprints on the evidence at all, only yours which was on there twice" the officers said as they bid the teachers good bye.

Both teachers now understands what's going on. Fenfang wrote the small note then deliberately put it into Beatrice's desk, framing her as the cheater. "Beatrice, you are dismissed. Have a good rest of the afternoon" said Mr. Larkins.

Beatrice bowed to the teachers and bid good bye before walking passed the disheveled Fenfang, not giving another glance at the pest.
