4 Spreading my Wings

I wake up, I can't see anything, I try to open my eyes but I don't see any change.

"Where am I?"

Okay, so there's even a limit about questions about myself. So I got a mediocre system, that talks like a person, and I'm stuck in an egg. That means I'm not a human, right? Maybe I can get a status?

Okay, that's quite clear. But let's ask some things.

That's pretty logical.

So… I'm a mosquito, even the skills are just like a normal mosquito. Even the blind spot detection, I always feel like they suddenly disappear, so now I understand why.

Okay, let's find a way to break out of my egg and start my adventure. I think I should just stretch.

And yes, I hear some tearing and I see light, I go up and forward and I escape.

I feel my blood flowing into my wings and they stretch behind me, they're a deep red and have black and white lines on them. Having wings and six legs doesn't feel weird, which surprises me.

I can't see my eyes, but my legs and body are a rather boring brown.

After I enjoyed my stretch I looked around me. I'm sitting on a leaf, and looking around it isn't a big leaf. Yeah, I really am a mosquito, I'm so tiny.

I can sense everything in a little over 5 meter in every direction, but it gets really fuzzy behind leafs and branches. But I can still see other bugs breathing in the 5 meter radius. It's a really weird sensation. Beyond the 5 meter I can see the general image of things, I think I can't see well beyond that cause compound eyes are only good at noticing movement, not so much at clear images.

But I think I can live with this, especially since I can see in every direction.

After looking around I don't notice anything special, just that everything is huge. It looks like I'm in a forest. There's a lot of plants and some bugs all around me, so I can only assume it's a forest. Not being able to see far isn't perfect after all. I can't enjoy a good view even if there was one.

I'm hungry, and I don't think I can drain blood from other bugs, so I'll need to fly.

I imagine myself flying away and my wings move just the way I want them to and I lift of my leaf.

"Bye bye leaf, I'll leave for the bigger world now, it's time for me to spread my wings figuratively and literally. Hehehe my parents would be proud of me."

I fly upwards, I love the feeling of being in the air. I think it's my fly skill or my mosquito instincts. I sense a smell of breathing close to me, I fly in that direction, I feel like it'll be my first meal. I'm more excited than I expected myself to be.

I needed to fly quite some distance, maybe my first victim is really big, or moving away from me. I did discover that I'm in a forest though, and the trees are huge. It takes me about 10 seconds to fly past a tree, and the tree is about 5 meters wide.. What means that I fly about 2km/h. That is rather slow, but I am a newborn mosquito, so I guess it's okay.

As I was thinking about my flying speed something furry enters my detection dome. I fly closer, and I discover what it is. I gasp, or I think I do.. I don't really have a face anymore.

It is a 4 meter long tiger. It's a lush green with dark brown stripes. It's taking a nap in the sun, this is my chance. I quickly fly towards its backside and land on his hind leg, I wiggle myself in between its hairs and finally find skin.

I'm so excited to drink this beautiful creature's blood that I put my stinger thingy right in. It are actually all different tools, there are 2 for cutting skin, and there are 2 to widen the hole and let my straw piece in.
