19 Ready To Evolve
Within 20 minutes everyone fainted except the chief. The floor changed to a red swamp and the smell of blood was horrible.
I was now in front of the chief with all 91 drops. I inserted them all into him and added his own 2 to the mix. He was still strong even after 20 minutes of bleeding, so I made sure he'd bleed enough to almost faint. After 15 more minutes the blood started to shine and merge, it was on another scale as anything I've seen before.
Naka grunted in pain, the massive amount of energy hurt him bad and he started evolving. His body started to grow bigger and bigger while a energy in the blood that I didn't like left the essence and flowed into his flesh and bones. I expected him to sprout wings but he didn't, he just grew larger and his body straightened as he fell on all fours again.
His aura grew to a terrifying degree as the blood essence merged to a single drop, at that moment I took it out. The evolution ended and Naka fainted.
"Black Eyes, kill everyone."
I used some blood I left inside Naka and made paste of his tiny brain, he stopped breathing. He came so close to becoming a worthy enemy to the dragon, but I still felt like he couldn't have beaten him no matter what.
Naka came to his pitiful end like this, he gained what he wanted but died before he gained the benefits. As Black Eyes was cleaning up I focused on my next meal.
The drop of essence was fully white. It gave of a strong breath of life, it gave me the strongest feeling I've had till now, as if it's something that will complete me. I couldn't wait anymore and I just ate it.
It hurts, why does this need to hurt? I felt like I got used to it over the last few times, but my greed made me want to create something stronger. And here I am, my body being torn apart, blood is running rampant inside of me, and my mind feels like it's being burned by this new white energy.
By the time the pain stopped and I directed my senses outwards it was dark around me, Black Eyes must have casted darkness around me so other creatures can't see me. Having a partner truly is useful, I should find some other essence for him to power him up.
But as I looked around I saw Black Eyes' blood like normal, but as his heart was on the left side of his chest there was a dark flame on his left side that I never saw before. As I focused on the flame it went out and a dark rat shaped firm was left behind. There were many carvings on it in different shades of black and gray. I felt like this defined what he was, and I also felt like I could alter the carvings if I wanted to. But I won't use Black Eyes as a lab rat.
"Black Eyes, thanks for your concern but you can take the darkness away now, I'm back."
The darkness disappeared in a moment and Black Eyes was before me, it looks like he gained a lot this time too. All lizards were gone, I presume eaten. Black Eyes has grown a bit, and he had a more powerful aura. I think he just leveled up a lot but that he hasn't evolved.
"I'm glad you're well master, you fainted and it worried me. I covered you in darkness to make sure no one could see you. But I did eat Naka as you don't eat flesh anyway, I hope you don't mind."
"You did well, did you grow stronger after today?"
"Yes I think I'll evolve when I sleep tonight."
So other creatures can't choose when they evolve? Maybe that's a function of the System too. But I have more important things to ask of the system.

This drop leveled me up way more than I expected, and I gained the soul skill I was looking for. This was truly a great thing, it makes it worth the suffering.
But why isn't there a screen with my evolution options? Maybe I didn't react fast enough and it went away, but how should I summon it?
And it appeared just like that.

So, that line is a no go. But I wonder..

Ugh damn, so I'm a mosquito with a god-skill. But I shouldn't evolve yet, I should get used to my new skills and see if I can rid of my seal.
"Black Eyes, I can evolve too, but I want to get used to my new skill first. Let's find someone to experiment on."
