Meeting The Bee Queen

After hunting weak pray all morning I started playing with the blood I collected. I made a sphere around me which can protect me, but it's not too strong. It feels like blood control is more of an offensive type of magic.

And as I was changing shapes it hit me. I changed the shape and it looks just like me, well how I used to look. If I make myself stronger I can make a human sized doll of me, and if I hide my skin I could go in human territory. This is great, but I'll probably need to learn the language here, I've never been great at languages.

But that's still far away, a 4cm tall, blood colored human isn't of much use yet. I'll need more strength and wisdom first, and for that I'll need more blood essence, blood essence with high wisdom. Or from a great control type creature, just like me.

I might find a water controlling monster, water control would be rather close to blood control right?

I fly toward the lake I found yesterday. There are 5 blood colored needles floating around me, ready to strike anything interesting that enters my dome.

It was a rather boring hour long flight, but as I arrive at the lake I feel like it was worth it. It is a beautiful lake, an azure blue, sunshine trickling through the leaves above, the deer standing on top of the lake.

I saw the deer controlling water yesterday, but I don't feel anything from it, so it doesn't have great compatibility with me. But I focus on it nonetheless, and I suddenly see a bright red light inside of the deer. The red light moves through its body, I feel like that is blood essence.

Damn, I still don't feel anything from it. So it really isn't compatible with me. But I can sense blood essence, I gained so much from that dragonfly.

But I fly around some more. After an hour I get so frustrated about not finding anything I stab some bugs that look like bees and keep on flying.

After about 5 minutes the amount of bees around me keep increasing, but they're so weak I don't really care about them.

10 minutes more the amount of bees crosses a thousand, and I feel threatened. I feel like they didn't like me killing their sisters. But as they dare to threaten me I'll make sure to give them the same fate as the dragonfly.

As the bees are only about 2cm long I change my 5 needles to 10 2cm long needles. And I start my killing spree, after the first 10 are killed the buzzing of the bees changed.

The buzzing became aggressive, it makes me feel like I should just give up and surrender. But I'm sick of being weak, I won't back down. My killing spree starts, my needles fly around dropping the bees by the hundreds. I even started cutting them down with my claws. The bees are trying to bite my wings and sting my body, but they haven't got a clean hit yet. The problem is that their numbers keep on rising, and they're coming from one direction. So I fly there while I keep on killing the bees, after 15 minutes I start getting tired, the mental strain from their buzzing is getting worse too.

I lose my track of time there are so many bees that I couldn't move the needles properly anymore, so I'm controlling hundreds of sharp drops now. I can't move them individually but I can move them as a cloud. When the cloud passes all bees are full of holes, like this I can keep them off of me while I keep flying to their base. And then I found it.

It was a huge beehive, at least 2 meters high and I curled around a tree. It doesn't surprise me that they can waist thousands of bees on hunting me. But now I'm hunting them, I got a hunch that the queen is what I want. And my instincts drive my hunches, so if it gives me a hunch from so far away it'll be a great one.

The cloud of blood drops keeps revolving around me, there's a trail of bee remains where I've been before, none are intact. They're full of small holes or even ripped apart. I close in to the hive and my cloud starts ripping apart the walls of the hive. Another type of bee flies toward me, it's twice as big and it's stinger huge and barbed. I'll probably die if it stings me, but it'll have to come close first.

It flies towards me, and into the blood cloud, all the drops harmlessly splash of its body. Damn, why can't it be just that simple? I collect about 20% of the cloud to make a needle, this lowers my area damage, but the needle is way more powerful than the individual drops.

The warrior bee thought the blood was harmless, so it didn't defend, and so it died with a hole in its head. After that more warrior bees came, but the small bees fell back. So I made 10 needles again, and a new kind of fight came. There are only around 100 warriors, but still 10 made it through my needles. I flew away from them in a pace just below theirs, the one in the front was almost upon me, I turned around and before he could react I cut him in half. I dropped a needle in the back and formed one from the bee that died now the 9 remaining bees were in a pincer attack, me and a needle up front, 9 from the back.

Before they came close to me the needles killed the 5 slowest ones already, the needle next to me killed one more, both my claws cut through 2 more. And the last one flew over me and cut of one of my wings. Damn him, 10 needles chase him and rip him apart.

I almost fall due to the sudden loss of a wing, I use blood to replace the wing and it works surprisingly well. The other 3 wings shine red, and all the blood in my surroundings, all the blood in the surroundings I can control turn into small drops of blood and shoot out to all small bees in the 5 meter around me. They die instantly. After that I use all those drops to wreck the hive, even the tree that is supporting it turns to splinters. All that's left is a red landscape and humanoid shaped bee.

She has a round head and forward pointing compound eyes, an actual neck, her chest even has 2 pointy bumps. But it's still a bug carapace. Her lower body looks like a hoop dress with black and yellow lines and there are 4 insect legs coming from under it. She also has arms where human arms would be, but she has no hands. She also has 2 wings folded behind her like a cape.

All in all, she looks like an abomination, a being somewhere on their way to being a human, but nowhere there yet. I form a single needle straight up, the sharp side pointing to her. I plan to cut her in half.

"Mighty Red Wings, I am sorry for offending you."

From this point on I plan to do daily releases. I hope you'll stick around and let me know what you think.

What will happen to the Bee Queen, and what will happen to our Red Wings? I hope you're getting excited.
