23 Getting down to our level

After I finally finished the blood from the shadow orb there was a huge tremor.

"GAGYAGUARRR"

The tremor was followed by a huge roar like I never heard before.

"It's you right you little bug?! You took out my subordinates?! How could a lowly being like you even dare to challenge me?!"

A voice I heard once before sounded in my head. No, it sounded in my entire being. It shook my body and soul from the roots, if I didn't gain control over souls I might have died on the spot.

"If I could only enter this cursed cave I'd torture your soul for eternity!"

This sends even more shivers down my spine, but on second thought it relieved me. He can't enter, so he's just a load mouth lizard.

I ditch the second batch of blood.

"Let's go deeper into the dungeon."

During their massacre they found stairs downstairs, so we went down there. It truly is like a dungeon. I wish they'd have made me a dungeon master, that would have been fun.

But when I have enough power I can do those things, I might if I find my way back to earth and have some spare time. That'd be fun.

But anyways, we went down the dungeon and didn't meet anything interesting the first few floors.

The second floor had mole rats, ugly naked things. The floor itself was pretty dark, but as I look around seeing blood and souls, Black practically is darkness itself and Green gets input through her vines. So, the dark didn't bother us.

The third floor had sword frogs, small creatures that jump super fast and their front legs are razor sharp. So sword frogs.

Fifth had slimes, and I actually could eat anything that wasn't their core. So that helped a lot. But the sixth had big flesh eating plants, so I didn't get anything. But Green found a way to combine them with the vines.

Her level of control was now strong enough to make the vines appear from anywhere, so they didn't need to follow us anymore. She could make the tips of the vines have huge mouths now, and this fastened our killing.

And like that we went all the way to the tenth floor.

"Master~, are you really growing stronger? I can feel something, but Black and I are way stronger. I feel like we'll evolve soon again hehe I'm looking forward to being even stronger. But I hope you'll grow strong soon too, the enemies are getting stronger, and with your help nothing could stop us hehe."

Green is still talking too much it's not like I like being weak, but I guess it's time to check my level. I should turn on the system again.

"System, could you just check my level?"

I turn it off right after, it's not like there's something I truly need to know now.

"Green, Black, I'm sorry. My current evolution is pretty brutal. Practically all the strength I gain gets saved for the future, so I'm helpless now. It's like a test from the gods to gain true power, I hope you'll support me till then. I think I'll evolve at the latest at floor 75, I just hope it goes that deep."

"Ohhh only floor 75? Well do that in a week if we keep going like this hehe, don't you think so Black?"

"Well, if they keep on getting stronger in this rate we might get in trouble before that floor. But we ourselves are getting stronger too, it's just a matter who grows the strongest."

Black speaks less and less, but when he speaks he does analyze in a realistic or slightly pessimistic way, he's like a Gothic teenager. I hope he won't rebel too much though.

We decided to sleep on this floor and continue tomorrow, I hope we can do 10 more floors in a day, that would be a nice pace.

I sat on greens head to sleep, the heat spell didn't activate on me. I don't really know why though, it's mysterious.

"Master, why don't we and try to get a room for ourselves."

"Hmm Green? Don't you like me sitting here? I can just go somewhere else."

I don't really know what she means, I'm tiny, I'm not that much of a bother right? But she pouts when I said that, it's the first time I saw her do anything but smile her silly smile.

"I didn't mean it like that… I like you being with me really much. Ugh never mind."

She turns her head, like looking away. But I'm on her head so I turn with her, I'm sure I'll get motion sickness if she does that too often.

And our night went on like that, without any hiccups. Maybe because we are the only 3 things alive on this floor.

The eleventh floor had owls, shadow owls. With Black disrupting their weird darkness moves they weren't that much trouble. And after a while we had them all, I gave all the essence to Black and he was happy again. With his power level up we had even less trouble on the floors. And so we went further down all the way to the twentieth floor. And now we need a strategy to clear the floor.

The monsters are fish, but they float. They look like butterfly wing koi in different colors and patterns. And the more beautiful they are and the longer their fins are the stronger reading I get on their souls.

This floor will give us a great boost in strength, but only if we find a way to take them down safely.

"Black, what do you think?"
