The Cat Burglar

[MANHATTAN - 12 July 2007 - 01:30 Am]

Black Cat is seen moving with Panther-like grace. Seemingly without care, she speeds across narrow ledges and wires, never once slowing down, never once unsure of her footing.

She races northward through the overpowering Manhattan Skyline. Then finally reaching her destination, The Guggenheim Museum.

She lands on the roof of the Museum and opens a secret hatch, she pulls her grappling hook from her utility belt and shoots it at the nearby wall. She grapples down in to the Museum, she retracts her grapple and tucks it back in her UB.

This shouldn't take too long.... I've cased out the Museum for the several days. I know the schedule all the guards make.

There it is....The Golden Lovers statue. It looks just as beautiful as ever... I can't wait to sell them to some creepy ass art collector.

She grabs the statue and puts it in her duffel bag, just as she was getting ready to leave a flash light is shined on her. "You there....whoever you are! don't move a muscle". The security says with his flashlight and gun trained on her.

"I guess the other guard must be sick, that's why he is here a whole eight minutes early" Black Cat mumbles to herself. She turns around and puts her hands up "I was just going to borrow it, I promise I was gonna bring it back".

"I told you not move!!" The guard raises his voice and glares at her, still keeping his gun trained on her. The Black Cat flinches and whimpers at this and ducks her head behind her as if to protect herself "I-i-i'm s-s-sorry pl-please don't shoot".

The guard slightly relaxes seeing the woman's pitiful look "Who are you anyway??" He looks over her unique clothing and masked face. Black Cat looks at the guard with a meek and scared expression "B-Black Cat", she says softly with a frightful tone.

The guard unconsciously eases up and looks at her confused " Black Cat??". Black Cat still with her act in place "Y-yeah my boyfriend gave me the name", the guard looks intrigued by this new bit of information "You have a boyfriend!!??".

The Black Cat changes her expression to cute pout and a small frown "What's that supposed to mean!!" The guard flustered waves his hands around " That's not what meant, I was just surprised....You know". Black Cat narrows her eyes at him for few moments and gives him a small smile even though he can't see it "Okay then".

The guard as if remembering the situation they are in points his gun at her again "This was fun and all but I'm gonna have to take you in now". The guard says and slowly walks towards her with his gun still pointed at her. Black Cat as if accepting defeat sighs and slumps her shoulders and looks at the guard " Guess we got off on the 'wrong foot'?".

The guard just nods.... and as he takes another step forward, he trips on his own foot and stumbles forward. Black Cat seeing his blunder dashes towards him and grabs on to his outstretched arm with the gun in hand, and takes him down with a flying armbar. The guard struggles for a bit, but is inevitable choked unconscious by Black Cat.

Black Cat gets up from the ground and walks over to her duffel bag and without another moment to spare and makes her escape.

[MANHATTAN - 25 July 2007 - 19:26 Pm]

In a Auction House near Park Avenue. The rich and powerful gather to bid on a precious gem the Rajah Ruby.

"....And so the Rajah Ruby is valued at 4.1 Million Dollars" The Auctioneer announces and looks around and at the people, " Do we have an opening bid".

Before any one could react, female voice starts " Yeah. How about 2 Cents". The Auctioneer looks astounded and turns around and looks up at the sound of the voice, "Who?".

"Hi, My name is the Black Cat....And I've made my bid", she looks over the people with a dangerous glint in her eyes "Of course, your free to up that bid...." Without seeing her mouth, its as if they can feel her smirking behind the mask "If you don't mind dying, that is."

Everyone in the room freezes in fear at the threat and just look at the dangerous woman. "No takers? Didn't think so. Here's my Pennies..." She then tosses the pennies at the Auctioneer and jumps down from the bannister, does a dive roll over the stand and grabs the Ruby.

"She's taking the Ruby! Someone stop her!" "And ruin my new suit are you mad??!!"

Black Cat runs to the window and jumps out of it, takes out her grappling gun and shoots it to the opposite building and swings away.

"That was too easy" She says with smile on her face and landing on a rooftop and escaping.

[ MIDTOWN MANHATTAN - 08 August 2007 - 01:13 Am]

In a Penthouse Apartment High a top the Tumminello Towers is an uninvited guest.

"Mr. Bradshaw really thought that I wouldn't be able to break in to his house and steal his valuables, rookie mistake" She says as she looks around for a certain painting.

"Beautiful, an original Ehrenreich and it's mine for the taking" Black Cat carefully removes the painting from the frame and rolls it up gently and put it the protective cylinder case.

"How idiotic of Mr. Bradshaw to hide his art room behind a bookcase. That's so predictable". She exits the art room with her prize in hand.

As she is making her way to the roof exit of the Penthouse, there are 4 well build men waiting for her.

"Put down the cylinder case and come with us....or else" the man in the front said to Black Cat. She puts the cylinder case down and looks at the 4 men sizing them up....and makes her choice. "Or else what??".

"So be it then" The leader says and nods his head for the other 3 men to attack her.

"I'll handle her on my own" one of the men says and walks forward to Black Cat with a cocky smirk on his face, the other 2 looks to the rogue and then to their leader. "Leave him be" The leader says the 2 men nod their heads and look to the fight that's about to begin.

" So you want to dance with little old me" Black Cat says looking at the man approaching her, "Just don't 'Trip' now". The guy now in front of her reaches out to grab her but trips and stumbles forward.

Black Cat side steps to the left of him grabs hold of his left arm and pulls him down so that his head is bowed, elbows him with her right arm on the back of the head and knees his him in the face, as his head recoils from the blow. She side kicks him to the chest.

The guy staggers back holding on to his chest and bloody nose, he looks at his blood on his hand, dazed and enraged "YOU BI--..". Black Cat not giving him time recover hits him with a round house kick to the side of the head, then a low kick to his right knee and finish it off with a spinning hook kick.

The man is knocked out with that last kick and just flops to the ground. She looks down at the unconscious man and looks up at the other three men. Two of them have shocked looks on their faces and the leader just looks impressed.

"Enough playing around, finish her" The leader says snapping the other two of their shock, they look at each other and then they both charge at her.

Black Cat dodges the first guys punch and pushes him to the side with her shoulder. The second guy tries to throw a right punch, but she weaves out of the way grabs his arm backwards and hits him with a hard upward kick to the chin knocking him out.

The second guy comes back and throws a right hook, she redirects the punch away from her and hits him with a jab to the face, and follows it up with a right side kick and a left front kick to the stomach. The guy bends over holding his stomach, but Black Cat's not done, she grabs his right hand side kicks him twice in the stomach, then uses his bend knee as a spring board and axe kicks him to the back of the head, smashing his face on the concrete and knocking him out.

She looks over to the leader "You wanna dance too" she says mockingly to the leader. The leader just chuckles and shakes his "No, I have seen enough to know you can easily beat me".

She just looks at him with a tilt of her head "So what?? I can go". The leader nods his head and moves out of the way "Not like I can stop". She stares at him for a few more seconds and scoffs at him "Whatever".

She picks up her cylinder case with the stolen painting in it and walks over to the side of the rooftop and takes out her grappling gun and escapes in to the night.

The leader watches as she swings away from the Penthouse Apartment, with a troubled look on his face. "First The Red Hood of Hells Kitchen and now The Black Cat". He looks over to his man and shakes his head with a tired sigh "Now I have to drag these guys back inside".
