74 Walking Techniques.

Just to refresh my mind I guess I will be going over the cultivation rankings again, the rankings are in increasing order from the weakest to the strongest: [1-Beginner], [2-Practitioner], [3-Expert], [4-Master], [5-Advanced Master], [6-Real Master], [7-Beyond]. It is surely good to have a refresher from time to time.{AN: A reader was having trouble with the rankings so I decided to write then again. If you want me to put the number in the ratings when I write then just leave a comment.}

Finally reaching the [Third Step], with how much it took me to reach the second, even knowing that third would be easier, I was still expecting it would take more time. But I guess my realization of using the [Sharingan] really did help in this endeavor. But I guess me having a low quantity of [Ki] helped, after all, I am just a [2nd rank Pratitioner].

Not that cultivations rankings are as important in The Breaker as they normally are for Xianxia novels, it's difficult, but even a normal person can easily kill a [Beyond] the 7th and highest-ranking a cultivator can reach. How? Simple really, a knife to the eyes, a well placed bulled, rupturing an artery, there is honestly a lot of ways that I know that can easily kill even the strongest of the experts.

The proof was my fight against Subordinate, even if he was way stronger than the three of us combined we still fought, won, and killed him. What counts the most is not your silly cultivation rank, but your skill. A simpler way of explaining is comparing it with Naruto, a genin can indeed kill a jonin with a simple kunai, difficult? Yes, but still very well in the realms of possibility depending on the circumstances. But I guess right now isn't the time to think about the intricacies of the cultivation system of this universe. Going back on the [Third step] topic...

The possibilities now that I am on the [Third Step] are endless, and that I have to thank my means of training those two styles really did it for me, and I have not even a sliver of doubt that they will be a core part of my fighting style in the future.

But now that I finally have the necessary control so that I can start delving into other martial arts that I honestly have been salivating to be able to. And what about the [Forth Step]? Surely it would be better to attain the [Forth Step] before trying to do anything different right? Yeah, it most certainly would, no doubts there. But there is one problem with it, the [Forth Step] is kind of special.

The fourth and final step of the training focuses on surpassing the body's potential. It is also called the highest level of training. An individual widens his bloodstream and ki channels which have, as a result, the further increase of the Ki amounts and the size of the Ki-center. The result is that the individual can reach, what is called, the level of a "Real Master".

Yep, the [Forth step] isn't a control exercise anymore but a literal part of how someone reaches the sixth cultivation rank of [Real Master]. The [Real Master] rank is also called the last human rank. It's called like that because most people that reach the next and 7th rank of [Beyond] tend to have superhuman capabilities, even looking it by the eyes of a cultivator.

So the [Rourth step] is still pretty far away from me, heck even if I wanted to I don't even know if I have the necessary [Ki] to do it. But that isn't important right now, as I've reached the [Third Step] I can finally do the Cyle training.

What is cycle training? It's simple; After the individual reaches the [Third Step], then the three steps are still done simultaneously in a pre-organized training program. With this training, a person can reach the level of [Master]. Yep, I now can start doing this cyclical training and start aiming to become a master, it will be difficult as I still need a little more [Ki], but I can practically be considered an [Expert] already, I just need more [Ki] and it will be official.

But besides these new bonuses and new training methods, I can finally start on what I wanted to do the most, movement techniques. I can safely say that it isn't a secret to anyone that my biggest and most glaring flaw is my speed, due to the fact that I am pretty big and muscular my body wasn't exactly made for speed.

Until such a flaw and deficiency in my speed cost me some injuries that might as well been avoidable if I was more focused on it. Thankfully after reaching the [Third Step] and with the bullshit that is cultivation such flaw can be easily corrected, and the way to correct it is; movement techniques or mone know as walking techniques.

The best walking techniques that I currently know of are those from the [Black Heaven and Earth School], watching and copying the demon king fight plus the videos he left behind I was able to acquire/copy all walking techniques from the [Black Heaven and Earth School].

Those techniques are:

Advance Step: Draws the user closer to his opponent. The move is so fast that it appears the practitioner moved toward the opponent instantaneously within the blink of an eye. Subordinate probably used some variation of this on our fight as he kept having these insanely fast bursts of speed.

Retreat Step: Allows the user to retreat or create distance between user and opponent. This move is also instantaneously within the blink of an eye. Used by a lot of the masters on the battle at the rooftop of the murim alliance, it could be said to be a great factor that made the Demon King wasn't able to kill that many people.

Evade Step: This allows the user to avoid the opponent's attack and gaze. This move allows the practitioner to instantaneously disappear from sight. This one had almost the same importance as the retreat step in maintaining people alive in the battle, more often used as either dodging on close combat or simply for stealth endeavors.

Attack Step: Attacks the opponent. One cannot just simply use 'Attack Step' however they want. It's a skill that allows the practitioner to read an enemy's foot technique and change its movement to neutralize the opponent. The user reads the opponent's movement and by giving a slight change to that movement he can neutralize it. Basically an excellent technique for duels and one on one matches, a probable precursor to the next technique

Illusionary Step: It is a secret technique that affects the enemy's mind and willpower. This technique creates the effect of the practitioner being in multiple places at once to distract the opponent. And this one, oh boy, this one is the one I want to practice the most with. If my hunch is right this could open the gates for me to finally start studying a way to use illusions with my [Sharingan], and everyone knows how overpowered [Sharingan] is when it comes to illusions.

Of course, I won't forget to practice the [Fierce Tiger style] and the [Thunder Fist style], the opposite actually. If I can combine both walking techniques and those styles, I can guess I would become a pretty formidable opponent.
