59 The Suicidal Vampire

Dark, damp, and filled with despair, the basement held well over a dozen vampires. Their strain was a combination of Nosfuratu and Buffy. He could feel malevolent demonic power coursing through their bodies but at the same time, their humanity remained. There was a sense of morality holding back their demonic spirits. That was all the spiritual nature of his chakra could detect. Most importantly, they were weak from hunger. Yet, they had plenty of humans just above.

This left a perplexing question, did they feed regularly or not. Some old Nosfuratu could survive a long time without feeding. Buffy verse vampires don't die from a lack of feeding and can even feed from animals instead of humans. With a preference to otters. There was also a bit of ghoul in them. They had RC cells. His brother must be a connoisseur of vampire powers. He could see a brother adding ghoul to their vampire bodies. A boost to their healing factor and the ability to regrow limbs must have been too good to pass up.

"Hey Rize, stay back, I'll knock them all out. The dried corpse is family, so I might as well wake him up and ask what the hell." Bastion said before increasing his chakra enhancement. In a flash he moved amongst the vampires. His blows shot them into walls and shattered bones into powder. Despite their super human strength, speed, and healing, they were no match for his chakra enhanced power.

Once on the ground he used head hunter jutsu to trap them up to their necks. From there he was free to approach the coffin on a pedestal. If he wasn't wrong, he could hear violin music played on a loop. Red velvet drapes blocked the coffin off from the rest of the basement.

"Wait don't slay our father. We will do anything don't hurt him." One vampire said. The others began to speak asking for Bastion to take them instead.

"Should I just kill them and get it over with?" Rize asked with a sigh.

Bastion shook his head and pulled out a kunai.

In the coffin was a guy dried up with with a calm smile on his face. Bastion sighed and slit a finger before letting a few drops fall into the vampire's mouth. Eyes fluttered open and Bastion raised an eyebrow. The vampire slashed forward with his hand only to catch empty air.

"That foreign power, skill, and that feeling. Tell me are you my brother." The vampire said.

"Yea, you kids have been stealing power from me. I'll leave their discipline to you. Later, why don't you check out the world and what changed." Bastion said casually.

He turned his head to see the vampire's grey hair turn black. His aged appearance slowly became youthful and strong. He stepped out of his coffin and grinned. A kagune burst from his back. "Could you kill me brother? I'm tired of this melancholy filled world." The vampire said.

"Nah, you aren't capable of fighting me right now. How about you try for a kakuja and then we'll talk. Besides, there is a reaper invasion in what, 400 years or so. Why would you want to die and miss out on that fun?" Bastion said.

"I've lived in this world for 800 years. Time has worn at me, I've lost too many loved ones. I don't want to live anymore. Let me go on to the next world." The vampire said.

"What's your name brother? I'm Bastion Uchiha." Bastion said.

"Vittorio that's my user name anyway. Do you have the chat yet?" Vittorio said. Bastion shook his head. "To be so strong and not even 4 worlds in impressive." Bastion started to feel a chakra network form within the guy and smiled.

"You might be worth a fight after all." Bastion said. "I'm up for a warmup. I feel like training hard again in honor of finding you brother." Bastion said with a chuckle.

Even maxed out Vittorio's chakra never surpassed 100c cp. A dragon like beast appeared made of blood, eyes, and flesh peaked out of Vittorio's chest. It roared before launching itself at him. Sharingan spinning Bastion dashed around the beast, before driving a rasengan in its center of mass. The monster exploded into centipedes that crawled around Bastion's body before unleashing a powerful shock. A burst of wind chakra sliced them all up and they transformed into butterflies with wings made of flames. They fluttered around him setting fire around his cyclone of wind blades.

Just before the flames would have swallowed him, water chakra lashed out from his body in a high-pressure stream slicing the fire butterflies into pieces. The butterflies turned into earthen slugs that hit the ground before manipulating the earth to free Vittorio's children. Bastion raised a hand unleashing chained lightning. Lightning bolts dove after the earthen slugs slaying the last of them. To save themselves the slugs changed into red bats their wings stirred up small dust delves dispersing the lighting. Bastion unleashed concentrated beams of flames at the remaining bats destroying them.

"You handle my demons well enough. How will you handle a vampire over 800 years old?" Vittorio asked moving at insane speeds. Bastion ramped up his chakra enhancement to meet the vampire's blows. They exchanged hands swapping tactics feigning weakness when the opponent attacked strongly and attacking strongly when the opponent was weak. Bastion kept increasing his enhancement until he maxed out without using sage mode or the cloak. The vampire kept growing stronger.

"You've met your match little brother. I had thought you would be my killer. But it seems I was wrong. I will add your power to mine, enjoy the next world." Vittorio overpowered Bastion's block and went for the throat fangs high. Sharp fangs like hyper dermic needles raked against his skin finding no purchase. Bastion grabbed ahold of Vittorio's neck before lifting him and blasting holes in his body with quick fire release beams. While in the air Bastion unleashed chain lightning shocking the vampire even more.

Bastion leapt away just as Vittorio's body exploded into a puddle of chakra enhanced blood needles. The real Vittorio leapt from the ground. "Sage mode, you must be one hell of a ninja. Most don't get past the flashy eyes." Bastion's sage mode gave his black hair a greenish tint and made him a bit leaner. "I wonder how long does your sage mode las? I can fight all night. The second your sage mode runs out I'll have the advantage. What will it take 4 maybe 5 minutes? What say you perfect sage? The longer this fight goes on the stronger I will become. You better end it quickly." Vittorio said.

Bastion rolled his shoulders feeling his sage mode's power course through his veins. The blindness his mangekyou had caused was healing. As he used his new perfect sage mode he felt stronger and stronger. "This is no where for a brother to die. Let's take our battle higher you can fly can't you, old man." Bastion said. He looked over to Rize. "Get back to Anteiku in case I don't survive. This fight may destroy the 22nd ward." Bastion said, and he felt overjoyed by that fact.

He didn't wait for an answer. Bastion leapt upward like a shooting star. He unleashed a spiraling tornado of air blades to cut his way up to the top. Standing atop the run-down warehouse where Vittorio was housed he waited for his brother. Not to disappoint him Vittorio floated up landing across from him.

"You seem to be growing more powerful as your sage mode remains active. Interesting, I can sense the faint presence of magic within you. Perhaps, one of the worlds you visited was fate. Well it matters not you will either send me off or die here." Vittorio said.

"It doesn't have to end with that. We are brothers, this world needs our help against the reapers. Without a firm hand it will cease to be." Bastion said.

"They don't matter. This is just another world in infinitely. One day it will fade from my memory and for me it will cease to be." Vittorio said. "Now kill me or die yourself."

"What of those you sired aren't their lives worth observing? Don't you want to nurture them and watch them?" Bastion said with feeling.

"They are just pawns, I made them to keep my body safe while I slept. The fact that they found you, has earned their freedom once I'm gone. Do what you will with them if you win? You have my blessing." Vittorio said.

"Why not have one of them kill you if that's what you wanted?" Bastion said.

"Because little brother they were too weak to kill me. Their sentimentality got in the way and they couldn't bring themselves to do me harm. I rescued them from death. They are loyal to me beyond death. Now enough of your questions let us fight."
