Power and speed were the two fundamental aspects he learned during his first few weeks under the tutelage of the 3rd hokage. No knew jutsu, no direction in his current jutsu, or even pointers. This training was all about adapting to different situations and improving himself. Bastion could call upon the rasengan by muscle memory. It wasn't so much a jutsu as it was a part of his strong fist. When he needed it, the rasengan was there to destroy and then it was gone. No more thought was needed.

His eyes had finally evolved into their third stage thanks to the high-speed training. The hokage produced a few clones and Bastion spared with them. When one was destroyed Hiruzen collected the chakra and summoned another one. They were getting faster moving more as a team every session.

Once the clones were defeated Hiruzen stopped summoning them. "It took a few weeks but your finally at the level where you can learn higher versions of Earth style control. Come follow me." Hiruzen said. Bastion arrived with him at a waterfall.

"I want you to stop this waterfall using only your own chakra and earth release. You've proven adept at using the earth around you but the potency of your earth release leaves much to be desired. If you are incapable of doing this, then practice on smaller bodies of water." Hiruzen said with a chuckle. Bastion stood on the lake at the bottom of the waterfall.

Placing his hands in the waterfall, he forced out chakra, and went through the process of transforming it into earth. The second it met the waterfall, it broke apart. "Normally, your supposed to form the wall then put it in the waterfall." A voice said behind him. Bastion turned to see Jiraiya. The older man chuckled. "Just trying to give some pointers." Jiraiya said.

Bastion nodded. "Thank you, but I think I got this. If I can stop it faster than it can destroy my progress, then I will become much stronger than if I formed a block and placed it in the waterfall." Bastion said. Jiraiya frowned.

"You are a stubborn one. I gave you a short cut and you say no thanks." Jiraiya said.

"If you were to teach me the shadow clone jutsu, I would be thankful." Bastion said. Jiraiya shrugged, made a cross sign and a clone appeared beside him. Bastion saw the chakra move and his edict memory took over the rest. Two shadow clones appeared beside him each with 50million chakra. They each set about their work.

"I tell you, your trying to learn to fly by jumping." Jiraiya said. That may be so, but Bastion couldn't stop. He needed power and shortcuts wouldn't give it to him. Thanks to Jiraiya, his training time was cut down to a third.

Jiraiya disappeared after a while and Sasuke appeared. He didn't walk up to say anything. Bastion was happy for the silent company. Sasuke had bandages over his eyes. He must have had them changed out with his father's. Good for him. The eternal Mongekyou would help him a great deal. Since he was staying in the leaf, the future was changed again. What would happen during the Pein battle. Bastion could picture Sasuke's Susanoo slicing Pein apart.

One of his clones stopped his section for half a second. That one dispelled itself and the knowledge entered Bastion. He didn't gain a new trick, though he could change and condense his earth chakra better. After summoning a new clone, they got to work occasionally stopping the waterfall for half a second.

Sasuke left and a pink haired girl appeared. Sakura if he wasn't mistaken. He had masterbated to more than one of her images when he was younger, when Naruto first came out. Now he felt nothing towards her. The feelings of his other life were a memory. Only the task at hand mattered right now.

The next day he went at it with four clones. He increased his reserves some more and noticed an increase in control. It was nice, he managed to disrupt the flow and make a shape before it was swept away. After three hours he dispelled his clones and summoned four more. Their memories flooded his mind and he made a few adjustments. He wasn't done, not by a long shot.
