12 Chapter 11 Aftermath

What he had planned for had come about. He had made fantasy a reality and taken his revenge on Shikaku. The demon wasn't entirely impotent, but it would think twice before trying to break out of Garra. Bastion liked to think the Demon was terrified of leaving Garra now. Please masta Garra don't let the evil human Bastion get to me. He will eat me, I'll be good.

Bastion knew that was just wishful thinking on his part, but that didn't mean he didn't enjoy the thought. Having 12x more chakra than he started today was also good. Going ten rounds with a Bijuu didn't leave him unscathed but it was fun. He was covered in bruises and cuts, bits of wood had ripped through his defenses and the high winds had slammed him against the trees. His nose was full of sand and his hair might never be the same again. He still got the bastard.

Currently, he was waiting in the Hokage's office to learn what was to become of him. While he was a citizen of Konoha, he wasn't considered normal. Well he wasn't normal by any means. The plebs weren't supposed to know that. Jiraiya was a spy master and he was in a village full of sneaky people. The fact he acted in the interests of Konoha was his saving grace. He hadn't done anything shady at all, so he was confident in the situation.

The Hokage walked in and Bastion felt nervous. The leader of the village Hiruzen Sarutobi had a stern look on his face. This wasn't the look of the kind grandfatherly man he normally wore, then again, he probably had more on his mind than selling a loyal citizen propaganda.

"You've done well, very well indeed. Your actions were that of a Jonin rather than a child of 5. Though, that is what you are, a child. Despite your actions you aren't used to your power. This was the first time you acted. Would you like to hear a story?" Hiruzen said. Bastion nodded his head.

"The Uchiha were a loyal clan of Konoha. They were known as the strongest clan in the village. Until one day Itachi Uchiha the next clan head went mad and slaughtered his clan. There were none alive he even went as far as to put the babies in their mother's wombs to the sword. When I arrived, there was no one left save Sasuke." Hiruzen paused, and waited Bastion nodded. Even at his age he was told of the Uchiha slaughter and why he couldn't go near that district. "That isn't the whole truth. There was one more survivor. Though the boy's mother was slain he held on to life with all his might, you released a flair of chakra leading my sensors to you. We pulled you out, but you were heavily injured. After 72 hours of surgery you survived. Konoha saved your life and in return you assisted in saving Konoha. Bastion Uchiha."

Bastion closed his eyes and pushed chakra to his eyes for the first time in years. He had more chakra in his body than the simple seal on his body could handle. As the seal shorted out his eyes turned red. A single tomoe appeared in each one.

"What now, I'm stronger than any academy student and most Genin. But I'm not ready for missions, I don't have the experience." Bastion said.

"It can't be helped, I would give you a sensei and have you trained in all things Shinobi, but you are too powerful. I would only trust Jiraiya to help you gain the experience you need. So, you will go with him and Naruto to find Tsunade. If she agrees to come back and take my hat, then I'll train you.
