49 Revolution, the Elemental Engine Blade

Ai was sitting down on one of the circular rugs in a section of Azura's tent where plenty of ambient mana lingered. Azura was seated next to her, they both had their eyes closed as they were meditating. This wasn't quite like her usual meditation where she went into her Domain, but this meditation involved completely clearing her mind while allowing the mana to rejuvenate her body.

A miniature octopus was floating around Azura's head, she typically let her familiar out when meditating but decided to wait until Ai was thoroughly meditating before she brought it out, had Ai realized this, she would freak out immediately.

The rugs that they sat on had magic circles that circulated the mana through their bodies. The mana was so thick here that it took the form of a blue mist. The circles glowed with the same blue color that glowed brighter with each breath that they took.

While they were meditating, Amari was sprawled out on Azura's round bed, kicking her feet up in the air out of boredom. She started to hum no particular tune as she watched Freyr spin in circles in the air above her. Occasionally she would kick the sword higher and make it slowly fall back down where she would kick it up again.

The familiar, which was also bored now, decided to mess with Amari and started sneaking its way towards her. As it crawled up on the bed, inching its way towards Amari's head, it reached out a tentacle, ready to poke her on the forehead, when Amari suddenly blurred away.

Sensing danger, the familiar skittered across to the other side of the bed as it turned to see Amari glaring at it with the massive blade pointed at where it was. Amari dropped her intimidating presence and let out a quiet chuckle, careful to not disturb the ladies. She jumped on the bed, launching the octopus in the air as Amari caught it and hugged it to her chest.

"You are too damn adorable, little guy." Amari whispered as she squeezed it. It started to turn red with something like a blush and wiggled its way out of her grip, floating in the air above her. She reached up and poked its bulbous head. "If sis saw you, she'd fuckin' flip." Amari said with a grin.

"Fuuuuuuu..." Ai breathed out heavily as her aura turned into a mix of radiant light and shadows, lightning arced out from her body as the mana surrounding her intensified, turning from a light mist into a dense fog. As she breathed in, the fog absorbed into her body, her aura intensifying further.

Her eyes snapped open as the left eye glowed with a blue aura and a magic circle appeared in her iris. "Well, that was... refreshing." She said as she smiled as she turned to look at Amari, but once she realized that she was holding on to a tiny octopus by its tentacles, her smile quickly disappeared and her face paled.

"T-t-t-t-tentacles!?" Ai blinked away to the opposite side of the tent. "Keep it away!!" She yelled out, causing Azura to snap out of her meditation. "Ah? Gillian, get over here, you naughty boy."

The familiar wiggled its way out of Amari's grip and flew towards Azura as Ai hissed. It nuzzled Azura's face before it faded into mana that flew into a small circle that was tattooed on Azura's arm that was normally concealed by the long sleeves of her robes.

Right now Azura was wearing more comfortable, casual clothing. She wore short shorts that revealed most of her long, toned legs, the shirt she was wearing had short sleeves, high cut revealing her smooth stomach and low cut, which Ai had glared at with hatred and envy earlier, revealing her barely-contained chest.

'And she wonders why men always stare at her, why the fuck does a pervert hate other perverts anyways? You keep gimps like they were furniture!' Ai had thought in annoyance.

"Keep that 'thing' away when I'm in here!" Ai complained, furrowing her brows and glaring at Azura.

"Well, you really should find yourself a familiar, dear. They are extremely helpful to us mages. I let Gillian out because he assists with meditation."

"It looked to me like it was just playing with my big sis which, ew, don't even think about touching me before you wash your hands." Amari chuckled at that.

"They don't necessarily have to do anything, it's the passives that they provide that assist with a number of mage assets." She said as she bounced her chest.

"Don't... fucking do that around me." Ai said through clenched teeth.

"Ara ara? Is it jealousy? Or are you perhaps curious?" Azura said with a teasing smirk as she swung her hips suggestively.

"First, I'll hit you if you say 'Ara' one more time. Second, have you seen my chest!? I could at least have road bumps, but no! I ain't got shit! And I'm seventeen years old for fucks sake! And third." She paused for a moment after realizing that she never bothered thinking about her own preference.

"Well, third, I guess I'm not really sure. Sure I guess? I mean, I haven't really thought about it, besides the time the insane Andromeda kissed me. I guess I could swing either way, maybe I did before I lost my memories. Aaaargh! I'm not really sure." She rapidly scratched at her head, sending her hair flying in all directions out of frustration.

Snapping her fingers, Azura summoned her robes over her body as she grabbed her staff as it also appeared. "I see that I struck a nerve, don't destroy your mind over these things, should love be something that occurs in your life, it will come naturally, don't worry over the little things that ultimately don't matter." She smiled warmly as she tapped her staff on the ground.

A bright light flashed as the three were teleported to the familiar sight and smell of Hoat'l's forge. Amari, who was laying in the bed as they were teleported, fell on top of Hoat'l as he was carrying a handful of scrolls, causing them to go flying across the room.

"Gah'damnit! The hell is wrong with-" Hoat'l stopped when he realized Amari was sitting on his chest, rubbing her head. "M-m-m-m-m-miss Amari!?" Hoat'l turned bright red from how close she was.

As Amari realized that she wasn't on the bed anymore, she looked down at Hoat'l's face, which was currently as red as his burning forge. She smirked mischievously. "'Bout time you grew some balls, bushbeard, but you still gotta beat me in a fight first."

"J-j-j-jus' git offa me woman!" Hoat'l howled out, it almost sounded like he wanted to follow up that sentence with 'before'. Amari blurred and appeared next to Ai.

"Say sis, why don't I fight you in his stead, if I beat you, you have to go on a date with Hoat'l." Ai suggested with an evil smirk, she was eyeing something that was laying on top of a crate across the room. Hoat'l turned into a furnace again, stuttering but unable to form any actual words.

Amari scratched her chin in thought. "Hmmm, but I still out level you considerably, you sure sis? I'm pretty sure you'll lose."

Ai maintained her wicked smirk. "Don't be too confident, hey Hoat'l." "Y-yes ma'am!?" "Is it ready?"

Suddenly, all of the nervousness that plagued him was gone, replaced by pride and excitement. "Aye, lass. Jus' finished it taday." He gave her a knowing grin as he hobbled over to the engine-blade sitting on the crate.

Ai blinked just ahead of him and picked up the blade. Just like in the blueprints they had made, the engine was slightly larger than the original prototype, looking down the barrel that lined up with the blade, she could see the magic symbols carved into the barrel. Looking at the handle, she could see the double-trigger mechanism.

Pulling the trigger closest to the handle, metal ground against metal as the cylinder rotated, the symbol for wind was visible on a small opening in the engine. As the double-trigger was connected, pulling the second trigger also pulled the first, which locked the cylinder in place as a burst of mana erupted from the engine as it roared to life, coating the blade in wind-element mana.

Ai channeled a small amount of mana into the blade as she swung it, cutting an empty crate across the room in half. She smirked and looked at Hoat'l. "Let's go win you a date." She said with a sadistic grin as Hoat'l and Amari gulped. Ai's eyes turned amber as she looked down on the masterpiece of a weapon.
