[Eldritch Abomination (Rabbit) - Level 7 Monstrosity]

"Nope! Fuck that shit!" Ai took off in a sprint the moment that the abomination used its coiled tentacles to launch itself at her.

A fanged mandible launched out towards Amari as she blurred away a short distance, still smirking mischievously. "Oi sis, you gotta hit that thing!"

"I... DON'T... DO... TENTACLES!!!" Ai screamed each word between deep breaths, as the monstrosity attempted to bounce toward her, tentacles stretched out, nearly able to grab at her ankles before she jumped out of reach.

"Kill it! Kill it with fire!" Ai leaped up into a lone tree, climbing it as fast as humanly possible.

The tentacles wrapped around the trunk, its massive maw chewing into the tree.

"Amari! Help!!!"

Amari sighed. "Fine, I'll help... by not distracting you. See you at camp sweet sis! Love ya~" Amari waved as she turned into a blur and completely disappeared.

"You... you bitch!"

She jumped out of the tree as it started to fall, forming a magic circle in her hand, she created a small dagger made out of mana. Twisting her body in midair, she launched it at the creature as she landed to the ground.

"REEEEEEE!" The creature let out a screech as the blade penetrated its maw, knocking a tooth out.

"Disperse!" Holding up a clenched fist, she opened her hand revealing a small orb that shattered. When it did, the dagger exploded in a small shockwave, causing a small tear within the maw.

It began to grow in size just a little as a red aura surrounded the abomination.

'Shit, it's pissed!' Ai started to run again, this time she created several small daggers and threw them into the ground.

Activating her favorite skill once more and pushing it out, she could sense the moment the creature went over one of the mana daggers and detonated them, each time a small shockwave would deal just a small amount of damage to its underside.

"Die die die die DIE!" Conjuring up three missiles, she combined them into a spear form, although it was now more like a javelin since she could only manage three missiles with her remaining mana. She turned on the spot and launched it directly at the maw of the creature as it leaped at her.

*SPLURT*

Flesh and blood spewed out as a massive hole appeared in the creature, it cried out in pain, making twisted rabbit noises but continued its pursuit.

"You're shitting me! That was the last of my mana!" Ai took off running once more with tears streaming down her pale face.

'What do you think you are doing?'

A voice called out in her head, it was her voice but slightly more, feminine?

'You still have tools at your disposal, use them to eliminate this hideous creature.'

Tools, right, she had more than magic.

Ai grabbed her cloak and spun around, throwing it at the creature, she summoned her sword, switching it to its rapier mode, she stabbed repeatedly at the cloak as the creature tried to pull it off.

'Er... that's not exactly what I meant, but alright. If it works, it works.'

"Fucking die already!!!" She stabbed down once more, this time without removing the blade, pinning the cloak over the creature.

Suddenly a tentacle reached out from underneath the cloak and wrapped around her ankle. Shivers went up and down her spine.

"AHHHH!!! NO TENTACLES!!!" She began to repeatedly and violently stab the blade through the cloak, over and over again, not even stopping when all movement had finally stopped.

"DIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIE... DIIIIIIEEEEEE!" Tears flowed down her face, as she continued to stab to the point of exhaustion.

"Haaa... Haaaa..." She fell on her ass, barely able to remain conscious. She used every last ounce of her energy to glare at the unmoving cloak, hoping that she could get her second wind and run like hell again if it even so much as flinched.

[Congratulations! You've reached Level 2!]

[Congratulations! You've reached Level 3!]

"AHHHH!" She swung her sword wildly at the cloak in shock of the sudden notification.

"Ahhhh? Aha, ahaha, ahahahahahahaha!" Any semblance of sanity disappeared the moment she realized the creature was finally dead.

"I did it! I did... it..." Ai finally passed out from complete exhaustion.

'Ah, this again, did I die?'

'No, you're just asleep.'

'Ah, ok, I like to sleep. But quit poking me, yeah?'

'It's our big sis trying to wake us up, but I wanted to speak to you first.'

'I hate being poked in my sleep. This bed is more comfortable than the last one though, I could sleep here forever.'

'Ai, please. I can't reach you whenever I wish.'

'Yeah yeah, just say what you need to say so I can sleep in peace, miss voice in my head.'

'Listen, there is a dangerous woman out there, she killed me, and she will eventually come for you.'

'Oh that bitch is dead, my, er, his wife went and killed herself right after killing him.'

'Not her, another of us. You'll know her name as A--------, you have to avoid her until you are at least level 30, please promise me.'

'Oi, ok, fine fine. Why are you talking in my head anyway, and gods damnit quit pokin' me!'

'I am Aiya, and we have a lot more in common than you might imagine.'

'Wait, THE Aiya? But aren't we the same person? Like shared bodies, shared memories, and all that jazz?'

'We are all one and the same, fragments of the original. And that original became corrupt, hence why she is trying to kill us, to avoid any of us fragments from restoring her sanity.'

'Well shit, I guess another roadblock never hurt anyone.'

'There is one more thing, you have to find your husband, he is also in danger.'

"I have a husband!?!"

*BOOM*

Ai shot out of bed, slamming her forehead right into Amari's face. Again.

"Mn? Husband? The hell you talkin' about sis?" Blood spewed out of Amari's broken nose.

"Ah, is this gonna be a thing now?" Ai sighed.

"[Lesser Heal]." Mana flowed into Amari's face as her nose snapped back to normal and the bleeding stopped.

"Achoo!" Amari sneezed, the blood remaining in her nose spewed over Ai's face.

Ai stared at Amari with a completely blank expression. "I'm going back to sleep... forever."

"Ahhh, sorry sis, mana tickles my nose. But back on topic, the fuck do you mean you have a husband? You're 17 and never left my side, unless..."

Amari jumped up onto the bed and shook Ai violently. "Did you fuckin' lie to me? Did you run off and get married when you disappeared!? By all the gods above, I'm gonna beat his and your asses if this is true!"

"Ahhh! Amari! Chill! No! I didn't lie or run away. It was a random memory that... no, I haven't lied to you yet and I'm not about to start." Ai leaned against the wall.

"Aiya spoke to me when I was sleeping, and I think a little when I fought that... thing... WHICH by the way, you and I are gonna have a nice little conversation about later." Ai glared at Amari for a second before becoming serious again.

"She told me that a woman killed her, although, for some reason, I can't remember that woman's name despite the fact that she told me clearly, and my memory is pretty good, er, when that memory isn't fragmented." Ai's eyes widened.

"Wait, that's right, system, show me the recollection system again!"

[Recollection System: Memory Fragments Repaired: Null%

Memory Defragmentation:

---'-----: 1%

--------: 1%

A--------: -100%

Aiya: 15%

Ai: 7%]

Shocked to see the new third name, she immediately recognized it as the name that Aiya had warned her about and noted the fact that it was at a negative percentile.

"There, it's here too, her name is A--------." Ai closed the system and realized that she had already forgotten the name, that one, and the first two as well.

"Amari, please repeat the name back to me."

"Oh, uh, sure. A--------."

"That's the one! Er, damnit, well I remember it starts with an A, but that's it." Nodding, she looked at Amari seriously. "Since I can't, please remember this name for me."

Amari nodded her head though her expression showed that she was unsure and lost in thought, however, her expression became serious and gradually grew darker.

"So..." Amari said quietly. "You're not my real sister anymore, huh." She stated rather than asked.

Ai's eyes widened at the sudden statement. Her eyes began to water slightly.

"I mean, she was killed by this woman, A--------, and for whatever reason, came back to life with you in her body." Amari stated again, her face seemingly devoid of emotion.

"Ah! No! I still have her memories, I still care about you! You're still my big sis!" Ai began to panic, feeling as though something truly devastating to her was about to happen.

But Amari ignored this and whispered something. Ai heard it, even though she really didn't want to. But it wouldn't register.

"B-big sis?" She said in a soft whimper.

"I SAID STOP PRETENDING!" Amari stomped down, breaking the bed and punching a massive hole in the wall simultaneously.

Ai's voice became meek. "B-but, I'm really not." She said weakly, a tear began to form in her purple eye.

"Bullshit. Pft." Amari spat at the broken bed in front of Ai, but before the spit could even hit the bed, Amari was simply gone.

Her fear of tentacles was nothing compared to the sheer terror she felt at this moment, and it was in this moment that Ai realized her true greatest fear.

Being abandoned.
