20 Kenji

Amari and Ai walked up to the entrance of the Lockwood Adventurers Guild Hall. They left Hoat'l at the smithy so he could pack up his things for the trip while Ai and Amari decided to turn in that Goblin Infestation quest for some spending money for the trip.

They had figured it would probably be at least a couple of weeks there and a couple of weeks back, so they wanted to prepare for a little over a month, just in case. They could purchase the bare minimum to survive a full month with the rewards for turning in this quest. They also wanted to see if there were any quests posted for the Orcs in the mountains.

Swinging the massive doors opened, they entered the guildhall, it looked like an old cathedral turned into a makeshift guildhall, the main hall was a large open area with many smaller rooms built along the sides that acted as meeting rooms and offices for guild staff. A massive billboard with small parchments constantly shifting around could be seen in the center of the hall. The quests posted would be adjusted constantly depending on the severity, reward, or importance of the quest.

Several adventurers could be seen at the billboard, raising their arms, pointing at the quests they wanted to take as the parchment would magically float down to the ones that pointed, they would then take the notice to some desks that were sitting at the back of the hall to get approval.

Ai suddenly remembered that she no longer had a Guild Hall ID since Aiya had died, and registering for a new one could prove problematic as her three classes might raise a few eyebrows.

Noticing the sudden look of panic on her face, Amari turned to Ai. "Hey, sis? Don't worry about it, use your eye thingy on me right quick."

Ai nodded as her eyes began to glow as her eyes turned amber and emitted a blue aura, activating both [True Analysis] and [Magic Sight] she watched as Amari's class name had suddenly changed to read [Rageaholic] Ai snorted, holding back her laughter, but nodded when a new skill suddenly appeared in her peripheral.

[Diguise Self] MP Cost: 5/6s | Channeled

Effect: Disguise name, class, and stats while this skill is channeled. This skill cannot be bypassed with any skill of lower quality than [Detection].

Ai smiled seeing this and immediately changed her status page, her class showed that she was a level 3 [Mage] with her stat array from before the prestige boost, she also decided to use the skill to hide most of her excess skills since it didn't cost any additional mana.

She nodded at Amari and she nodded back as they continued to the billboard.

Ai noticed that there were a lot of quests for goblin dens popping up between the towns, a few about the increased bear population in the area, and a single Level 0 quest about killing a few rats in the kitchen basement of the tavern she was originally staying at.

Thinking back on it, she was surprised that she didn't start immediately at Level 0 when she was reincarnated, for most would-be adventurers, breaking the 0 to 1 threshold was the most difficult part of starting their life as an adventurer, since most monsters at level 1 were stronger and faster than the typical Level 0 Human, and the experience from Level 0 critters was negligible at best. Most Level 0's sought to improve their base stats through one of the many Adventurers Guild Academies around the world to give themselves a better chance of slaying a few Level 1 monsters to gain their first level.

Ai skimmed through the rest of the quests and happened to find one about the Orcs on the Leifhein Range, their destination. However, just as Ai reached out her hand to summon the notice, the parchment flew off of the billboard towards a man clad in what could be viewed as a samurai's Hakama. The man didn't appear to be from the eastern continents, however, his garb and hairstyle matched what one would call a textbook Samurai.

The man grinned as he looked down at the parchment, then looked over at Ai, who had a pouty face. He smiled and bowed his head as he turned and walked away towards the reception area.

Glaring at the man with amber eyes, Ai decided to scan the man that had decided to be their rival.

[Name: Kenji (Real Name: Kenneth Andrews)

Level: 23

Class: 'Self-Proclaimed' Samurai (Real Class: [Spellsword])

STR: 15 | DEX: 18 | CON: 16

INT: 13 | WIS: 8 | CHA: 18]

Ai's eyes widened. 'So he is an upper, huh? And being 23, he is definitely one of the 7. Well Kenny-boy, looks like this princess is gonna have to teach you some manners, then recruit you into the party.'

Amari looked at Ai's glare and couldn't help but let out a little chuckle, seeing her little sister pouting like a spoiled princess, no, a spoiled ass princess. "Geez sis, It's alright, our real goal is that sky-steel stuff anyways."

Ai pouted again. "Nuh-uh, that damn self-proclaimed samurai just made a rival out of this princess." Ai immediately blushed, realizing what she had just said out loud "I-i-i-i mean!" She couldn't think of how to remedy her sudden outburst.

Amari burst out laughing. "Ahaha! That's my little ass princess."

Ai blushed and stomped off towards the reception. Amari could only giggle and follow behind.

"Doth thine eyes deceive? For never has thee witnessed such a fair and benevolent beauty." Kenji said in a knightly voice that, to Ai, screamed try-hard. The receptionist blushed slightly and stuck out her hand awkwardly without saying a word as Kenji handed her the notice. "Mayhap this noble warrior may treat thee to fine meals and wine upon my return?" He said with a rather creepy smile.

"Er, erm, no thanks, I'm married. Registration will be five coppers, please." There was no band on her finger, and registration fees were only a single copper.

"Mayhap thee fair and lovely shall change thy mind upon thine heroic return?"

"Mayhap, Kenny-boy should mind his fucking business and quit harassing anything with a chest." Ai retorted from behind Kenji.

"Who would dare!?" Kenji turned around, seeing the little girl that was pouting earlier. Ai could see the receptionist gesture 'thank you' from behind the counter.

Kenji looked in surprise and coughed. "Children should not mettle in the affairs of their elders, run along now little girl, if jealousy is the cause of this sudden outburst, mayhap thou shall be made one of thy wives when thou art older."

Ai's face twitched and went red with anger as Amari stifled a laugh.

"Well, mayhap this princess will kick your fake-knight-dialect-loving ass five ways from Sunday, you cocky prick!" Ai yelled out, the veins in her forehead bulging.

Kenji blinked in surprise before leaning towards Ai, "Look kid, I'm just trying to get a date, ok? I've had shitty luck with women so far and I think me and this girl might have something."

*BOOM*

Ai headbutt Kenji in the nose, hard, causing him to fall back on his ass as he grabbed his nose spewing blood all over the hardwood flooring. "Ahn! whathefawk!" Kenji exclaimed as Ai turned away and stormed off.

Amari leaned down next to Kenji when Ai wasn't looking. "If you lay a hand on my little princess sister, I, the Barbarian Queen, will kill you myself. Got it?" Amari whispered coldly as Kenji nodded fervently.

Kenji watched as the two sisters left the guildhall.

'Barbarian Queen? THE Barbarian Queen? If I can defeat her, I will be renowned as the greatest warrior in this world! Finally, I'll be able to have my own lands, my own harem! Heeheehee~ Best reincarnation ever!'

Kenji had a perverted expression on his face.
