44 Blood, Thunder, and Fire
The Leviathan sailed quickly through the lake, fast approaching one of the rivers leading out of the massive lake. Amari clung to the mast, holding her hand to her mouth as she felt sick. Ai sat with her legs dangling off the whale-like head that made up the figurehead, enjoying the speed and the splashing water.
Cidney stood at the helm, turning the wheel to adjust their direction, lining up perfectly with the river line. "Hold on to your asses, boys and girls! We're about to hit the line!"
*BOOM*
Just as she said that the ship was launched into the air, flying through the air over the jagged rocks at the entrance of the river. The ship landed with a loud splash as the ship continued to sail down the river at high speed.
Amari ran towards the port side and vomited over the side of the ship. Ai, screamed for joy as she was launched up in the air and landed at the very tip of the bowsprit of the ship. "Holy shit that was awesome!" She yelled out, looking out at the odd stares she received from the crew.
Cidney grinned, admiring Ai's spirit. "Full speed ahead! Keep this up and we'll reach the Wyvern in just a couple of hours!"
"For the love of fuck, make it stop!" Amari howled out, still hurling over the side of the ship.
The ship sailed on at full speed as Cidney navigated each bend in the river with perfect execution. It only took a couple of hours as she had said before the ship finally began to slow down as it approached a massive rock that jutted upwards and out from the river bend, the rock looked more like a leaning tower than anything.
"Drop the Killick! Ready the starboard cannons! Fire as soon as we reach peak height!" Cidney barked out orders as she turned the wheel the moment the anchor dropped.
The scene was something impossible, with flawless execution, the vessel took a sharp left turn as the anchor latched onto the riverbed, pulling the entire vessel into a slant, the starboard cannons aimed high as...
*BOOM BOOM BOOM*
...Shots were fired one after the other towards the top of the massive rock as the cannonballs wreaked havoc on the unsuspecting wyverns home. The vessel finally started to straighten back out as the anchor pulled the ship back a short distance.
*REEEEEEEEE*
[Flame Wyvern: Level 20]
The wyvern howled as it burst out of the rubble and took flight, soaring high into the sky, glaring at the vessel in pure primal rage.
A glint of bright light could be seen as a great ball of flames launched toward the vessel at high speed, even with the distance between the beast and the Leviathan, it only took a second for the flame to reach the vessel.
*BOOM*
A fiery explosion erupted over the bow of the ship, the shockwave pushed the ship back, however, there was no fire, no damage to the ship. Cidney glanced over the ship to figure out what happened when she saw Ai standing at the tip of the bowsprit, her palm extended outwards.
The outline of a large barrier surrounding the ship slowly faded. Ai blurred from her spot and reappeared at the Crows Nest, smiling sadistically.
"My turn you overgrown lizard! [Empower], [Lightning Bolt]!" A large, yellow magic circle appeared in front of her, two more layers stacked on top of each other, making the circle dwarf Ai in size. A second purple circle appeared in front of the yellow circle that quickly fused, the original circle started to glow with an ominous bright red.
*CRACK*
Ear-splitting thunder erupted as a red lightning bolt tore through the air, striking the wyvern in the wing as it attempted to dodge. A red after-image lingered where the bolt had traveled through, revealing the path that the bolt had taken, winding through the air, incinerating every molecule in its path. The wyvern howled again as it could no longer hold its altitude, plummeting towards the Leviathan.
"Harpoons! Now!" Cidney yelled out as she summoned a javelin to her hand, she threw it across the deck of the ship, cutting a rope that released a pair of harpoon guns that were hidden just beneath the bow.
A couple of crewmen ran towards the harpoon guns but Ai beat one of them to it as she aimed the gun at the descending wyvern. She grinned with sadistic glee as she said, "[Accelerate]!" and pulled the trigger just as the red circle formed at the tip of the barrel.
*PUSHI*
The harpoon shot out in a blur as it pierced the shoulder of the wyvern, tearing out a massive chunk of flesh and scales. The second harpoon shot out and caught the intact wing. Ai kicked a lever between the two harpoon guns and the rope began to drag the wyvern down to the ship.
*BOOM*
The wyvern landed on the bow just behind Ai as she jumped back up on the bowsprit and prepared a barrier spell once more, waiting for the inevitable flame breath.
Cidney leaped high into the air as dark steel armor suddenly enveloped her entire body and she summoned a large double-sided spear. She kicked off of a magic circle under her feet, launching herself at the wyvern, but it veered its head at her, glaring at her with hate as it unleashed a torrent of flame.
Cidney landed on the barrier as it formed, redirecting the flames back to the wyvern, she jumped up once more and broke her spear in half, forming two javelins and threw one into the wyvern's neck just as the barrier disappeared, revealing the charred scales.
The wyvern howled again as it turned its burnt head back at Ai as flames started to glow within its mouth. Ai watched with a sadistic grin, the wyvern realized it had made a mistake.
"[Accelerate] Number 17 and 18!" Large spears pierced its maw in an X formation, sealing it shut as the flames burst through its teeth, the flames burning the inside of its mouth.
Cidney blurred towards the wyvern, stabbing the beast in the eye as she grabbed the other javelin and ripped it out of the beast's neck, tearing more flesh and scaled from the howling miniature dragon.
She blurred once more underneath the wyvern's neck, slashing the blades of her javelins like swords through the soft underside, hot blood spewing out over the deck of the Leviathan.
Ai leaped up in the air and conjured a [Magic Spear] hovering over her hand. "Time to end this! Amari! Throw it up in the air!"
Amari, who had been watching the fight with her hand over her mouth shook her head.
"Damnit, fine, Cidney! Get ready to see some fireworks!" Ai giggled sadistically as she hurled the spear at the wyvern's back, right between the wings. Ai opened a clenched mechanical fist and...
*BOOM*
...The wyvern exploded, showering the entire deck of the ship with blood, flesh, and scales. The head flew high up in the air, landing right in the Crow's Nest. The part of the deck that the explosion occurred caved in, revealing part of the crew quarters below.

"Huzzah!!!"
the crew erupted in cheer, Cidney reattached her double-sided spear and held it high in the air as she joined in the cheering. Ai stood there grinning maniacally. "Five gold coins, all for me~"
