16 Andromeda

Ai smiled softly after closing the portal, she turned around and watched as Andromeda's body begin to vibrate, bones and misplaced flesh snapping back together.

Activating both of her sight abilities, she observed Andromeda activate a number of different abilities on herself, mostly allowing her body to regenerate at a rapid rate, however for some reason, she couldn't copy these abilities or identify them, she could only see the effects as they happened.

'Well, this is gonna be one hell of a fight. At least big sis is safe.' She held Agony to her chest, coiling her arms, prepared to attack.

Andromeda stood up and turned to Ai, the hole in her chest closed up rapidly, no scars were visible, even her exposed breast healed up as though no damage had ever occurred.

Checking Andromeda's stats again, Ai confirmed that the damage was still there, so she wasn't exactly healing as much as simply restoring the functionality of her body. 'But still, why the fuck did this bitch have a chest and I don't!?'

Ai launched the blades at Andromeda again, but this time, she caught the tip, blood dripping from her hand as she slowly walked towards her. 'Shit, time to start this fight properly.'

Magic circles began to stack on top of each other in her palm as she created four circles that fused, as her mana began to regenerate quickly due to her new passive, she stacked a fifth circle and began to form a large spear of mana.

"Let's see you get back up from this, you damned psycho. [Magic Spear]!" Ai stretched out her hand, sending the spear flying toward Andromeda, she dodged easily, breaking her spine to unnaturally bend her body to the side.

Andromeda vibrated again, snapping her spine back into place and continued walking toward Ai with a wicked grin on her face, however, Ai was still smiling.

*PUSHI-BOOM*

Andromeda's entire top half of her body exploded in a spectacular shower of flesh and blood as the mana spear had circled around and pierced into her chest, Ai had opened her clenched fist the second it pierced her, causing it to explode.

However, much to Ai's horror, the torsoless legs continued to walk towards Ai as the top half of Andromeda began to grow, large bloody tentacles reaching up and wrapping around each other, creating a foundation where bone started to regrow in a grotesque fashion.

'Shit. I dealt more than enough damage to kill her, but.' Ai looked at Andromeda's remaining HP and saw that she only inflicted an eighth of the damage she had planned to do.

'I guess magic resistances multiply at higher levels too.' Ai coiled her arms to her chest with Agony and thrust forth repeatedly, constantly attacking and destroying Andromeda's body as the regeneration barely outpaced her attacks.

Catching the blade again with her newly formed hand, the rest of her naked torso and wicked grinning face regenerated quickly.

"I don't suppose we can talk this out, can we?" Ai said with an innocent smile.

Andromeda appeared in an instant in front of Ai and grabbed her by the shoulders, the sheer strength locking her down from moving her arms.

"Fuck, Guess no--- Mmph!" Ai was caught off guard as Andromeda suddenly kissed her.

'What. The. Fuck. I'm kissing myself?'

Ai flinched in pain as seconds into the kiss, Andromeda bit her lip and began to lick at the blood.

"MMMMPH!" Ai tried to scream in surprise, struggling against Andromeda's hold, Andromeda pulled Ai's body against her bare chest in an, embrace?

Conjuring a mana dagger in her hand, Ai took the opportunity and stabbed Andromeda repeatedly in the side, but she wouldn't budge, her lips locked with Ai's still drinking her blood.

After several seconds of struggling, Andromeda finally dropped Ai as her face went from sadistic to plain and emotionless. She looked down at Ai and licked the remaining blood from her lips before turning around and walking away.

Ai watched in complete shock as Andromeda simply walked away as though nothing had happened, but she wasn't foolish enough to try and attack her again, that would only be signing her own death sentence. Still...

'What the hell, she kissed me, she obviously wanted my blood, but I clearly sensed something, love? Longing? It was clearly a very twisted form of longing. What the fuck.'

Ai struggled to stand, that embrace had crushed more than a few bones, any longer and her bones would have been reduced to dust.

"I guess I have a milestone I need to achieve, Level 30 at least. She had the same stats as I did before the prestige upgrade." She hovered her hand over her chest, channeling a healing spell, it mended most of the bones but the rest of the damage could only be healed through her [Sloth] skill. For now, though, she could at least make her way back to the town.

Using her sword as a crutch, she limped her way back to the town.

Approaching the gate, she looked up at the sign reading {Welcome to Lockwood}. The town Amari had apparently taken her to, and where that man appeared and carried her to a different lodging.

Limping through the town, she received glances from the many townsfolk in the area shopping at the local market stalls. Peddlers could be heard offering their wares to random passer-by, but none of them stopped to talk to her. She couldn't blame them, she looked like a beggar in her ripped and blood-stained leathers.

Passing through an alleyway that she had taken when she felt Amari in danger, she stopped when three tall hooded men stood in front of her.

"I don't have time for this cliche bullshit, move." Ai said weakly in annoyance.

"Ah come on little girl, you look like you've had a rough day, why don't you come with us big strong men and we'll protect you, we'll even show you a good time. Hehe." The shorter of the three said.

"I said move, last chance."

The bigger of the three stepped forward, placing a hand on Ai's shoulder, causing her face to twitch. "Oi, you should show your elders some respect, we only want to --- Waaaaah!!!"

The man's arm flew up in the air as Ai sliced upwards followed by a diagonal slash downward, cutting all three of them down.

"I fucking told you to move, ah." Ai fell to the ground as her leg gave out on her, she picked herself back up with her sword.

"Who the hell is dumb enough to try that kind of shit. Anyone could have gained a few levels and easily killed worthless vermin like them." She muttered in annoyance as she continued on to the house the man had left her in.

Closing the door behind her and locking the door, she limped towards the bed and sat down, leaning her back to the wall. She looked at the shards of glass on the floor and touched the wall, imagining the window as it was before she punched it out, the glass on the floor melted down and started to make its way back to its original spot, forming back into an unbroken window.

Touching her hand to her lips, she thought back to that kiss. 'Why did she feel that way? Clearly she was insane, but, for those seconds, I could feel her sadness, her desires, her longing. But longing for what?' These thoughts plagued her mind as she slowly drifted to sleep.
