2 Looking For Copper; Found Gold

Minerva is sweating beads, but in her mind she was sweating profusely. Her heart's thumping wildly that at any moment, she would vomit it out. A few inhales and exhales and she calmed herself down.

The other members are staring at her with confusion. Lucas, who was standing beside her the whole time gave her a quizzical look. He knows they all share the same thought and no one dared to say a word and so, he decided to voice it out. "Good lord...What might have happened upstairs to lead you like this?"

"We might have stumbled upon gold, a gold mine..." Minerva looked straight at nothing, eyes occupied with nothing and everything at the same time, her lips down resting behind her clasped hands. Lucas looked at her baffled than ever. The scene upstairs kept replaying in her mind. In a fit of a rage, she says.

"D O Y O U A T T E N D T O M Y W O R D S?" As soon as Minerva noticed that the mysterious woman does not have any ounce of respect for the speaker, she decided enough is enough. She lost temper and mindfulness.

The mysterious woman looked at her with obvious scorn and that made her act up. "Just be glad that we picked you up that wrecked of a place! Or who could have known what would have occurred!" Her words came out brash as she stood up trying to look tall just to look down on her. "Do you not know that listening when someone speaks is a basic etiquette? What scoundrel thought you your manners?!"

But the mysterious woman was not fazed. In fact, she abruptly changed her look from scorn to disinterested. She watched as she slowly opened her mouth, the reply she got overwhelmed her.

It sounds low and demanding that — as cliché as it may sound — sent chills to her spine. For a moment, her breath escaped her lungs, she became sensitive to her surroundings and can only feel the cold air wrapping her while a heat within her battle the cold. She would guess it as an archaic language, something that their first king would only know and never let them hear it. It feels so wrong hearing it so casually.

She thought this was the closest she could, to a god.

The mysterious woman spoke in a guttural way with hissing blend in, it may be an unpleasant sound if a native hears it, but who cares? Its new to her. It may even sounds like she's cursing her, but again, who cares?

She slammed the table, stood up and as if a verdict was made, amazement and delight became evident in her face and voice.

"Lucas! Even more so than gold!"
