13 Were Going To Shanghai

Sei's POV

After the incident with Nightmare, the administration is now more vigilant. Principle Stark placed a gag order on the student body and told us not to speak of this to anybody. He said the teachers will handle this incident. Most of us wanted to help except for Zen. He does not care at all. I really wish he would stop putting money first. He has the potential to be a great hero. I saw it when I first met him. We have the week off because we're getting ready for the student ranking tournament held annually around this time. This Is the first year that I am allowed to participate. Zen did not want to. But when he heard about the prize money and all the perks that come from winning, he started training hard like the rest of us.

I put on my blue shirt and black skirt. Then my white jacket and favorite panda hat. Amy is already waiting for me down stairs.

Amy: I've been meaning to ask you this. What is it with the pandas?

Sei: I love pandas. They are my country's national treasure and they are adorable from childhood to adulthood.

Amy: Whatever.

We head to the training room. Benny already has reserved an area for us. He, Zen, and Decklyn are already there having a mock battle.

Zen: SINGLE SLASH!

Decklyn: 10 HIT BARAGE!

Benny: VENOM HAND STRIKE!

All three of them attack and collide with each other. The three of them are still standing there breathing heavily. Looks like they've been training hard. They spot us and wave us over.

Zen: Yo!

Sei: Your practicing hard.

Zen: With a one hundred- thousand- dollar cash prize, who wouldn't train hard?

Sei: It's only a hundred- thousand dollars. I have more money in my piggy bank.

Everyone: HOW RICH ARE YOU?

Sei: Enough.

Before my dad went legit, he had quite a bit of money saved up from investments. He has over a billion dollars. I stopped counting a while ago. I probably will never have to get a job in my life. I am an only child. If anything ever happens to my dad, everything goes to me and my mom.

Amy: You're a real Miss Moneybags.

Decklyn: I bet she has solid gold toilets in her house.

Sei: That is just weird.

Benny: So, you don't have solid gold toilets?

Sei: They are not gold; they are silver. Having a gold toilet is a waste of money.

Everyone: .......SHIT!

Sei: "Did I say something weird?? Oh well. The five us begin training. I managed to get the dragon form an extra two minutes. That's not bad if I do say so myself. We all trained for a couple of more hours before we decide to take a break.

Benny: So, has everybody decided on their costume and hero name yet?

Zen: Hero name?

Decklyn: Don't tell me you have not decided yet. Freshmen year is when we get the chance to start shadowing the Seniors on assignments. We can't have them calling out are real names can we?

Zen: That does make sense.

Benny: What about your costume? I am going for a Tech look. My costume is blue, black and white. I'm going to be called Arachnid.

Amy: I think I like Spellcaster. I have not thought of a costume yet. It will come to me though.

Decklyn: I am going be called Evil Eyes. My costume is going to be gray and mostly green. It is going to match my devil eyes.

Sei: I am just going to use Azula's power to use the clothes I'm wearing when I transform as my costume. Then. I don't have to worry about changing out costumes when they get worn out or I gain a little weight. That way, my costume is always fashionably current. I will be called Azura. What about you Zen?

Zen: Never thought about it. I just know I'm not wearing tights and I'm sure I'll come up with a name eventually.

After training, we all decided to stop by the student lounge, grab a drink, and finish our bainstorming session on possible costumes. As we're walking over to the lounge, we see this big commotion. It is Torin and he's surrounded by Seniors. He still has a cocky expression.

Senior 1: I challenge you to a duel. You little bastard; stole my girlfriend.

Senior 2: Mine too and then you dumped her.

Senior 3: Yeah, we need to teach a punk like you a lesson.

Other Seniors: Yeah, yeah,..kick his ass.

Torin: I don't have time for this. I'll take you all on at the same time.

Senior 1: DON'T LOOK DOWN ON US! .

The senior challenged Torin to a duel. They selected 1 vs many modes and they fought in the coliseum environment. Torin notices me. Then he looks at Zen and gets angry. Zen looks around; looking confused. Pointing to himself. Torin gets even angrier.

Zen: Why does that guy not like me? I've never done anything to him and he is seeing me as a natural enemy.

Torin is taking out his rage on the poor Seniors who had their girlfriends taken. Poor bastards. He does not even use Fenrir. He just beats them all down using his fist. It was not a fight or a duel. It was a slaughter. He did not even get a scratch on him.

A.I: Winner, Torin Odinson.

Torin comes over to our group and approaches Zen.

Torin: I don't like you.

Zen: I can see that. Can I ask why?

Torin: You stole the girl I was going after. I don't like that. I see how she is always with you.

Zen: Hah?

Zen is really confused now and he should be. I used him to get rid of my stalkers. He has no idea what is going on and I feel bad.

Zen: What girl did I steal?

Torin: Seiryu.

Sei: I was never your girl to begin with. Zen and I are just friends. But, I can like anyone I want; I can even like Zen.

Zen: What the Hell is going on?

Torin is getting red with anger. Crap, I think I made things worst. I am sorry Zen. I got caught up in the moment.

Torin: The tournament is coming up in a week. Don't lose #5 to anyone. I will be the one that crushes you with all my power.

Torin leaves. Benny and Decklyn look at Zen with pity. I know Zen is strong. But as he is now, he is no match for Torin.

Zen: WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING?

Zen Is like a dear caught in the head lights. He's so confused.

Sei: It was kind of my fault.

Zen: Explain.

Sei: Remember when you fought Leo? I made a bet with Torin that if you won, he would have to leave me alone otherwise, I would go out with him. Then another boy asked to go out with me. I told him I had a boyfriend. He asked who it was and I said you. Torin heard the conversation and got really pissed. He thinks you stole me away from him which is weird because I never liked him in the first place. Some girls like the Demi-God look. But, I'm not one of them.

Zen: So, because of you, I have one of strongest kids in the school gunning for me.

Sei: Sorry.

Zen: Son of bitch. What are my chances?

Decklyn: Dude, you're fucked.

Benn: You will be crushed.

Amy: I would get my affairs in order.

Zen: I thought you guys were my friends?

Decklyn: We are and we will miss you my friend.

Sei: I caused this mess and I am going to help you get out of it.

Zen: What are you going to do?

Sei: Torin has the power of a God right?

Everyone: Right, the guy is a Demigod.

Sei: This may be risky and I don't know if it will work. But, why don't you get the power of a demon? That is your only chance not to be pounded into oblivion.

Zen: Where are we going to get that?

Sei: My home town, Shanghai.

Decklyn: ALL RIGHT! ROAD TRIP!
