Zen's POV

Sei: If you didn't know what is was why did you accept it?

Zen: Because I would be compensated.

Sei: I am ashamed to call you my friend.

Zen: We're friends?

Sei: Yeah we're friends. Honestly, you still treated me the same after you heard that my dad was a former gangster. I don't have many friends in this school. Even though one of your top priorities is money, you're not a bad person.

Damn, I feel guilty. She sees me as a friend. I was going to ditch her after I finished teaching her Qui. Crap, she's looking at me with the eyes of friendship. Quit with the eyes. They're killing me. Okay, I won't ditch you. Maybe having friends won't be so bad. I have had fun with Benny, Decklyn and even Sei. I smile a little bit.

Zen: Ok we're friends. So friends, what is this duel about?

Benny: Didn't you read the student body handbook?

Zen: That thing is as big and heavy as phone book. You would have to pay me to read that thing.

Sei: Well, in the handbook it talks about duels. When one student has a problem with another student and can't talk it out, they go to the arena and duel in a safe environment. You wear these bracelets that track injuries. When the bracelet turns red, you are defeated. If you're knocked out, you lose. If you surrender...,

Zen: Let me guess; you lose.

Decklyn: Bingo.

Zen: Powers and weapons allowed?

Sei: It depends. The people in the duel select the terms.

Benny: Okay, I am going to go tell everybody. The Bloody Lion is having another duel.

Zen: Did you just say Bloody Lion?

Decklyn: I probably should have stopped you. But, I thought it would be funny. So, I didn't. Leo is the fifth strongest kid in our grade. They call him the Bloody Lion. He has never lost a duel. He has won fifteen duels. Some even against upper classmen.

Zen: Great. Just great. Hey, might as well tell me the ranking system for our grade. Who is top dog?

Benny: Okay, I'll tell you the hierarchy; #10 Sara Lane- She has sonic screeching attacks; # 9 Ethan Cage- indestructible skin, and super strength; #8 is our very Own Decklyn Murdoch - Martial arts, extreme senses, and he possess the devil eyes and not to mention, he's a real crazy son of bitch.

Decklyn: I take offense to that.

Benny: It is true though. #7 is- Clara Barton. Her archery is that of a master then there's her trick arrows and her abilities to use Qui. She is force to be reckoned with.

Sei: That bitch is not that tough.

Benny: You would say that because your # 6 Sei. That cat fight between the two of you was awesome last year. Sei can....

Sei: A girl likes to keep her secrets.

Benny: Okay, moving on. # 5 is Leo Clark- an inhuman. He has the ability to turn into a lion- man beast. That dude is strong. But not as strong as me because I am # 4. The last three completely blow the rest of us out of the water.

Zen: Who are they?

Benny: # 3 James Rodgers- the grandson of Captain America; martial arts expert, Qui master, and the way he can through his shield. He will able to surpass his grandfather by the time he turns 17. The dude is a boy scout. But, he also isn't easy to get along with.

Zen: Number 2?

Benny: Tommy Banner also known as Hulk Jr.; do I need to say more?

Zen: If he is # 2, who is # 1?

Sei, Decklyn, Benny: Torin!

Zen: Torin?

Benny: Torin Odinson- his grandfather is Thor, God of Thunder. The Dude is a demigod. It's not even fair. He swings a giant axe named Fenrir and it controls ice and snow. People can even make the argument that he is the second strongest in the school.

Decklyn: Hey, if you win you'll be the new #5.

Zen: Are you going to bet on me?

Decklyn: No.

Benny: Me neither. I don't know what you can do.

Sei: I'll bet on you. Hey You two, how about we make this interesting?

Benny: Do tell.

Decklyn: I always like a little wager.

Sei: If you win, I will pay for your living expenses for the rest of the year.

Benny: What if we lose?

Sei: You both run around the school naked.

Benny: Too rich for my blood.

Decklyn: I will take that bet and double it. I will run around the school naked and moon the teachers.

Zen: You have that much confidence in me?

Sei: I don't know why. But I trust you. I think you're going to win.

Decklyn; Oh, is our little Emo blushing?

Zen: NO, I AM NOT BLUSHING!

After we finish our lunch, we head back to class. We still have several classes left for the day. My final class Is "The Study of Alien Life" and our teacher is Groot.

Groot: I am Groot I am Groot I am Groot I am Groot

Classmate: Mr. Groot always makes lectures so interesting.

Sei: Yeah, he is an amazing teacher. If he keeps this up, he is going to get the new teacher award this year. It's so easy to understand.

Zen: I look to Sei for help. WHAT THE HELL IS HE SAYING? I CAN'T UNDERSTAND A THING!

Sei: Didn't you get a universal translator from the school bookstore?

Zen: Translator?

Sei shake her head

Sei: That is why you should have read the student body handbook.

Zen: I am never reading that thing.

Sei shares her translator with me. Wow, Groot is an amazing teacher. The History of Kree and Skrull war is so detailed and easy to understand. The Bell rings.

Groot: I am Groot

Class: See you later Mr. Groot

Groot: I am Groot

Before you know it, it is 3 o'clock and time for the duel. There is a huge crowd and Benny and Decklyn are selling tickets and snacks. I walk up to Leo.

Leo: Still not going to apologize?

Zen: Nope.

Leo: Then just remember, you brought this on yourself.
