4 The Roomates Benny Parker and Decklyn Murdoch

Zen POV

We finally reach Avengers Island and it is like a small City. Okay, I am a little impressed. After we land, Leah gives me one more evil glare and heads off to her dorm room. Finally, that bitch is gone. Tony takes me to the school administration building and I get all my paperwork taken care of and check in to my dorm room. I also get registered for my classes. I am glad it's Saturday and I don't have class for the next two days. So, I get time to myself. The woman at the desk tells me where I am staying, Eagle dorm- Room #305. I gather my stuff and walk into my room. When I open the door, I see a Kid sticking to the wall eating a bowl Captain Crunch. He looks my age. He has brown hair and green eyes. He also has a blue shirt with a spider on it. He notices me and crawls back down.

???: So, you must be the new roommate.

Zen: Yes, I am Zen Shade.

???: My name is Benjamin Parker. But most people call me Benny.

Zen: Sticking to walls; you don't happen to be related to…?

Benny: You got it. " With great power comes great responsibility." Yep, my dad is Peter Parker, AKA Spiderman. He used to say that line all the time when I was growing up.

Zen: So, are you like Spiderboy or something ahahhahah?

Benny: NO, I AM NOT SPIDERBOY! I swear. if one more person calls me that, I am going to web their mouth shut.

Zen: So, what's the superhero name going to be then?

Benny: I don't know yet. But it won't be something lame like Spiderboy. My older sister, Petra named herself Silk. Her name is totally original. I want an original name too. I don't want to be in my dad's shadow. How about Daddy Long Legs?

Zen: That's more lame than Spiderboy.

Benny: What about the Tarantula?

Zen: You probably would need to be bigger for that name.

Benny: Wolf Spider?

Zen: That sounds cool. But, doesn't that make you sound more like a villain?

Benny: Damn.

Benny and I rattling off all these different spider names; but, none of them are going well.

Benny: The Banana Spider?

Zen: Are you proud of your Banana?

Benny: Yes, and I see your point. Forget I mentioned that one. That was a lapse in judgment on my part. How about the Arachnid?

Zen: Not bad; better than the Brown Recluse you came up with earlier.

Benny: Good. I will call myself the Arachnid when I graduate from here. Now, I just got to think of a color scheme for my suit.

Zen: Suit?

Benny: Oh, yeah in gym class, we get to fight each other and do simulations. We usually have to wear our gym clothes they give us. But, if you have a suit, you can wear that.

Zen: You wearing tights?

Benny: NO WAY! TIGHTS ARE FOR GAYS AND FOR GIRLS!

Zen: You know it.

Benny: I'm thinking of going the high-tech route; and ... wait, my spider senses are tingling. GET OUT OF THE WAY NOW!

Benny and I both jump out the way. Benny using his spider powers and me using my qui. A kid our age runs into our room. He is being chased by a green monster. Is THAT THE HULK? No. He is a little shorter than the hulk and he is also leaner.

Benny: DECKLYN, WHAT FUCK DID YOU DO TO TOMMY AND WHY THE FUCK DID YOU COME BACK TO OUR ROOM?

Decklyn: Sorry, I panicked. How the hell was I supposed to know that cupcake was Tommy's. If I'd known, I'd never have eaten it. Oh, is that the new kid? Hi new kid. I am Decklyn Murdoch. My grandfather was the Dare Devil.

Tommy: HULK JR. BASH LITTLE THIEF!

Decklyn: Oh shit! Tommy can we talk this out like civilized people? Let's try to calm down.

Tommy: NO TALKING; BASHING!

Decklyn: FUCK ME!

I had better do something or he's going to wreck our room. Tommy begins chasing Decklyn around our room. I take out a blow dart gun that has sleeping poison in it and shoot it at Tommy. That barely slows him down. That dart had enough to take out a full-grown elephant. I shoot another dart and another. It takes five darts to finally bring him down. He turns back into his human form, Tommy Banner.

Decklyn: Oh, thank the lord. I thought I was a gone.r Thanks new kid.

Zen: Compensation please. Those Darts were expensive.

Decklyn: Seriously?

Benny: He saved your ass. Pay the man.

Zen: I can always wake him up.

Decklyn: Will that be cash or credit?

After Decklyn put money into my account, Benny and I help him drag Tommy back to his room and Decklyn buys him another cupcake. Smart move. We spend the rest of the day playing video games. Maybe this place won't be so bad.
