197 Thank You, Brother

At the Zhao family estate, Hunter was talking to Adrienne. Today was the day he was scheduled to return to service; by the look of it, he wouldn't be able to see his sister for a long time. He knew this day would come, but he wasn't ready to part with Adrienne yet. If it weren't for his promise to continue his service in the military, he would rather stay with her and their mother. 

"Calm down, brother. Are you still worried about me?" Adrienne asked, "Uncle Reese is home now. So Mom and I aren't technically on our own." 

"How could I be at ease?" Hunter grumbled. He was already dressed in a military uniform, and his hair was cut according to the rules. "I won't be seeing you for a long time, Addie, but if something happens, you must call me at once." 

How could he forget the Jiang family's scheme to destroy his sister's innocence during his recent absence? Things might have gone down for Adrienne if it weren't for Lennox Qin's assistance.
