1 Death

David Miller lived his life like any other average human, but the rope slipped from his hand and he stood at death's door.

The hospital filled the documents that registered David's death, but nothing in the world changed. On David's last moment, all he was able to do was regret. Regret for never finding a lover, regret for never spending time to enjoy life, regret for spending every second boringly. David was able to do nothing, but regret not living his life to the fullest and enjoying his only life.

Endless darkness covered David as he curled up like a newborn. Emptiness filled the void as he slept in the middle. Nothing ever changed in the void. David's life continued to flash through his eyes for what felt like decades.

David's eyes slowly opened, deep within his eyes was a firm will to live. And as he opened his mouth, asked for a second chance.

"If there's a god out there then please give me another chance to relive my life. I'll live my new life to the fullest and I'll give you a good show."

Hoping someone heard him, David said softly, but loudly. And someone did hear David's call.

"Very well child. I shall give you a second chance in order to relieve my boredom. Do not make me regret this choice." Said an angelic voice to that wasn't loud, but neither loud.

Soon after David finished listening to the angelic voice, the void around David warped. David appeared within another void filled with endless white. As David looked around, he's able to see his body. Wondering what had happened, another voice rang inside David's head that was neither man nor woman. The voice sounded neutral or as if it was between the boundaries of both genders.

"Greetings,David. I am the system that has been granted to David by the entity known as god." Said the neutral voice.

"Where are you!?" David spoke out loud searching for the voice.

"I am within David's soul." The neutral voice spoke calmly.

"What are you? And why are you in my soul!??" David said panicking.

"I am the System created and gifted to David in order to relieve god's boredom. I have been planted within David's soul as the soul is the only remaining fragment of David's life.". The neutral voice spoke as if not bothered about David's situation.

David started to gather deep breaths as he processed the information. David never believed the superstitions people had, but the situation David was in was making him think otherwise. David calmed down after processing all the new information he was told.

"What's with the body in-front of me?" David calmly spoke.

"David is able to restructure a new body for David's preference. David's former body has been destroyed." The voice said.

"So I can change my body to look like anything?" David spoke excitedly. After all, who wouldn't want to change their body to look handsome or perfect.

"That is correct David." Uttered the neutral voice.

"Okay." Said David before starting to change his body.

David's body was average with his black hair and 5'9 body height. David's body wasn't burly or too skinny either. His weight was average too, so this opportunity to change his body was going to be used to the max.

The first body part David altered was his face. David changed his jaw bone to look neat, but mean, giving David a wolf like face, but handsome. David changed his eye colors to dark brown and changed his hair color to a grayish white color. The next change David did was to shape his chest, legs and arms to have visible muscles, but not big or bulking. David also increased his height to 6'3. David's skin was also a a smooth white and evened his body to be symmetrical. David now looked like a top tier model. After fixing some other body parts and enlarging you-know-what, he finished.

"That really looks perfect." David complimented his new body, but before he could admire his own body more, the System spoke.

"Body configuration has ended. David will now be transported to a random time zone from former world." The neutral voice suddenly spoke before David was engulfed in a bright light.
