2 N.O.!

The sound of the gun, rings in her ears. Miyoung groans as she sits up, holding her head in her hands.

[What is this ringing sound? Why won't it go away? It's giving me a killer headache.]

When she feels the soft bed sheet under her fingers, Miyoung springs up in shock.

[Where am I?]

In the dark room, there is only the bed she was laying on and a light shining on top of it. Other than that, the room is pitch black. Miyoung can't make out a single thing.

"Ah," a voice says. "It looks like you've woken up."

The voice, raspy and deep, sends chills down Miyoung's spine.

An aged man enters the room carrying a tray with food and a drink for Miyoung.

Holding the cup out to Miyoung, he offers the hot tea to her.

Nodding gratefully, Miyoung takes the warm drink into her hands, sipping on the tea.

The old man brings out a chair, and begins reading a book that's probably 30 centimeters thick.

After sitting in silence for a while, Miyoung speaks.

"Where am I?"

The old man, after marking the page he was reading, looks at Miyoung.

"Why, you're at the Gates of Hell of course."

Miyoung spits out her tea.

[AT THE GATES OF HELL????????]

"Don't worry," the old man says as he waves his hand. "I won't send you to hell."

Looking at him curiously, Miyoung asks him a question.

"Who are you?"

"Why, I'm Death of course!"

The man says it like it's what to be expected, but Miyoung is quite taken aback.

Miyoung scratches the side of her head.

"So you mean to tell me that you're Death, and I'm at the Gates of Hell awaiting my judgement."

The old man nods, his gray curls bouncing. The old man reopens the book and whips out some reading glasses. Pushing the glasses up higher on the bridge of his nose, Death starts to tell Miyoung her fate.

"I've just read your file, and I feel that you died quite an unjust death. Thus, I'm giving you two options. You either go to heaven and rest peacefully, or if you seek revenge, you'll be reborn in another world."

Miyoung, without missing a beat, replies immediately.

"I prefer to seek revenge and be reborn."

Death nods, pushing up his glasses once again.

"Well then, I'll give you something."

Reaching into his pocket, he holds out a gold bangle.

"This bracelet will help you find the reincarnation of the one you once loved. It will give off heat once you've come close or come in contact with the one you once loved. Once you find his reincarnation, you must avenge yourself and bring justice to that world, only then can you return and rest peacefully."

Miyoung takes the bracelet, sliding it over her wrist.

"Thank you."

Death nods.

"Well then, I'll see you around. Have a nice life."

Then Death snaps his fingers, and Miyoung sees the room fade, and she feels herself sink into darkness.
