Uproar at the Company

It has been six days since the wedding incident and everyone was trying to get back to their normal lives. Ming Na watched out her window as her Uncle Bai packed her cousin's thing into his car while Ming Zhu hugged her mother. Ming Na felt that the whole scene was hilarious, her uncle's family was treating Ming Zhu as if she was going off to war.

After Ming Bai finished gathering all of his daughter's boxes, he then gave her a hug even though he was taking her to her new place. He hated the idea of sending his gem of a daughter to the wild world of the unknown, with no help or protection. With one last squeeze, Ming Bai and his wife got in his car and waited for Ming Zhu with heavy hearts.

Ming Zhu opened the car door preparing to enter but looked up at the window in the main house. There she saw Ming Na watching down at her while she got ready to leave, and indescribable anger rose in her heart. Without showing it on her face she gave Ming Na a wave goodbye but inside she vowed that she would destroy Ming Na if it was the last thing she did.

Ming Na watched them leave and turned from the window with a bright smile and a skip in her step. Her cousin had no idea that leaving the family house was the nicest thing she did for her because down the road it would only be tears of sadness for Ming Zhu.

Sitting down at her desk, Ming Na went on her laptop to see the news that was still going on about the wedding incident. Even though both families tried to keep the news at bay it was hard to keep everyone quiet and the event spread like wildfire. While she was happy that Ming Zhu and Liu Kang took a hit, it wasn't as deep as she wished for and that made her super unhappy.

While some were upset and angry about what Ming Zhu did, many didn't believe it because it was not like the Ming Zhu they knew. The main reason she had such a huge fanbase was all because she was a director at Ming Sweets, and was the one who represented the company at events. In her past life, Ming Na wasn't interested in the company and was perfectly fine letting Ming Zhu be the spokesperson of the company.

Closing her laptop, Ming Na closed her eyes and let out a deep breath, while in deep thought. Taking down Ming Zhu would require the need for more power and support for that to happen, she needs to create a place at the company. Opening her eyes, she glanced at the documents on her desk and a wicked smiled formed on her face.

Ming Sweet's Company(Monday)

Usually, when the employees came to work they were all in a good mood, many loved working for the Ming family because of how they treated their employees. The work was stable and the benefits that came with the job had Ming Sweets as one of the top ten companies new recruits wish to apply, according to surveys. That's why when the employees came into work they were surprised at the notice on the company board.

[Attention: Starting Monday, Director Ming has been demoted to Assistance Manager of Shipping.]

Shi LuLi might have been the one who was the most surprised, she was the fateful secretary of Director Ming ever since she was put into her position. Now that her boss got demoted where did that leave her in the company? Going toward her department she figured the best course of action was to talk to Director Ming and get to the bottom of things.

Ming Zhu arrived at the company earlier than everyone else mainly because she didn't want security to throw out her belongings. With her box full of items she planned to quietly go to her new office and lock herself inside until the end of the day while trying to think of a way to take back control. Nearing the stairs, Ming Zhu was stopped by the calling of her names and the clicks of heels running from behind her. Looking over her shoulder she saw her secretary of three years coming toward her with panic and worry on her face.

"Director Ming!"

"Stop calling me that! Didn't you see today's notice, I'm no director anymore." Ming Zhu said with a forced smile.

"Why did they demote you all of a sudden? You were so good at your job!"

"I really don't want to talk about it."

"Is it the rumors going on about what happened at your cousin's wedding? No one even believes it's true, so how could they punish you for that event!"

Ming Zhu took a deep breath and gave Shi LuLi a smile, "Miss Shi if you want to fix this follow me to my new office. I already thought of how I'm going to rise back to the top and I'll need your help."

Shi LuLi was feeling mixed emotions but in the end she followed Ming Zhu, knowing her boss and most importantly her personality, her words would come true.
