That Pair of Blue Eyes Staring at Her Intensely

"Young Master Wilson, you have misunderstood her. She did not mean to insult you. It was just... She thought it was this waiter's fault." Daisy tried to explain carefully. She did not want to offend this Young Master of Wilson's, nor did she wanted others to please this future heiress of Smiths here. When the time came, she could be a good backer of her.

"You seem to know her way better than yourself." Steven deep voice sounded with a bit of little mockery.

Daisy panicked instantly.

"Young Master Wilson. I..."

Steven did not bother with her replies anymore. He grabbed the waiter's hand and asked him to escort him to Andrew.

Looking at his retreating figure, Macy bit her lips.

'Da*mn it. Now I also have to change.' She scanned her surroundings the sighed at the fact, even though many eyes were watching them, atleast Laura had not watched her sorry state yet.

The ladies there hurriedly went to change, they all belonged from aristocratic families. Neither did they want to leave like this, nor did they want to be photographed. That could only make headlines.

Macy intentionally walked a little slower, so she could stay behind them. Appearing near the stair, she paused for a while as she picked a Margarita and took a sip. She winked to the waitress brought the tray to her, and in return she got the satisfactory nod she wanted.

Then she slowly took a few more sips with a hidden smile on her lips, and went to the room assigned in relief.

More than twenty dresses had been prepared there. All were from different famous brands like Chanel, Dior, Prada or so. They went to choose one. Jenifer was also eager to choose one for her first, but she was afraid of the others. So she let them to choose one for themselves.

One dress folded beside neatly had caught Lily's attention. It was sequin, plunge, V necked, tangerine coloured cocktail dress with long sleeves, embellished works in it. It had a cut through in front which ended at the mid thigh length, making the dress sexy and elegant altogether.

Lily's eyes glimmered with temptation. She could not believe that Mr. Roy actually prepared one of Tasman Murad's creations here, as a substitute. 'If my dress was not ruined, I wouldn't be able to see this one. What a lucky pity.' She thought.

"I am taking this one. It also suits my taste and compliments my features. You..." Lily looked at the others as she walked towards the other spare room, "You can continue choosing."

Others stood there were all tempted by the dress she chose, but what could they do! They don't dare to offend the future heiress of Smiths. Besides, it's just a trivial matter like choosing a substitute dress.

When Macy appeared, all of them were left with their chosen dresses, only Jenifer was still there struggling. Macy rolled her eyes in annoyance, 'What a pushover', she thought to herself. Then chose one and went to another room to change.

After judging the pros and cons, Mantisha had decided to choose a Rosemary and bitter Mimosa with least alcohol in it.

As the were approaching the Roy Couple, Evelyn gave her a naughty look as she mumbled in Mantisha's ear, "Really? You are going to propose a toast with a Mimosa!"

She looked to Mantisha's side profile. Evelyn laughed at the troubled face she made.

"Why? Are you afraid of loosing control and jump at at someone?"

Mantisha blushed hard. Though she was afraid of her drunk behaviour, but she was not that kind of drunkhead. And yesterday's kiss was because of a dare, not for her drunk behaviour. She could swore, she thought.

"Although it's not a proper thing to do, but just think. Having a one night stand with a handsome and hotshot from here would be so good."

"Now shut up. We are almost there." Mantisha could not take her anymore. She was just behind of Adi and Sylvia. If they heard this Ms. Perez's nonsense, what would they think.

Evelyn laughed at her teased face, 'She is so cute.' She thought.

"Mr. Roy, Madam Roy, I apologise that I came here a little late. As you know, I don't have any partner or elders with me, I can only come alone. Let me propose you a toast to your future life filled with happiness and health." Mantisha said in a calm, low voice but all in one go, like she was afraid of someone interrupting her.

Then she raised the glass of Rosemary infused Grapefruit Mimosa up. As she was going to toast, a voice suddenly interrupted her.

"Mimosa? I suppose you are bad with alcohols."

Mantisha looked at Adi with horror. What did he mean? He was not going to ask her to drink anything strong, right?

Adi laughed warmly at her panicked face.

"We consider our guests as consuls of god in our culture. So how can we let them suffer for pleasing us? Right, Nick?" He said in a matter of factly tone, while he asked his nephew standing beside him.

Nick narrowed his eyes as he looked at Mantisha. He could tell that this girl is someone special to Adi. He never saw him talking so sweetly to any lady, let alone taking care of them personally. He said nothing, just nodded his head.

Looking at him, Mantisha shrunk back a little. She felt uncomfortable under his gaze. She had heard about Nick, he was Adi's nephew. Adi had just one blood related sister. She had married a British man and had two children with him. One boy and one girl. The girl was very famous in social circle, she came into gossip magazines often for the rumours and some dating scandals. And the boy was quite famous between the ladies of upper class. He was one of the golden bachelor's in Country A, and the supposedly the next heir of Adi's business and hotel chains. Mantisha heard Adi mentioning earlier that Nick helped him once in a while. She also heard that Adi was going to entrust him with the new hotel projects in Mauritius. In short, he was one of the persons she needed to keep her distance.

"Ahh yes, Uncle Roy is right." She quickly tried to draw a line between them in front of Nick, "However, this is something I choose to offer, how can I back out now. This won't be right."

Evelyn eyed everything from the back, she could sense the tension in the air. Meanwhile, Sylvia suddenly opened her mouth.

"You are just a young girl. No need to be so courteous in front if us. You just need to be happy and enjoy the party." She eyed at the changed appearance of Mantisha. She resisted the urge to frown and ask her what happened, while continuing with a faint smile,

"We have had enough liquors. My alcohol tolerance ia also not high. So I asked someone to block the alcohols and take the toasts for me."

Mantisha was afraid that her cover might blow up by the treatments she was getting now, but she was also happy that her mother and Uncle Adi were so concerned about her. This made her reluctant to ignore their kindness. She eyed the surrounding people. Suddenly her eyes stilled onto someone. A pair of deep blue eyes were starting at her intently. As if he knew her dearly or he was eager to devour her angrily. She could not analyse the meaning of that expression because by staring at him, with every passing seconds, she was loosing her sanity.

She felt a sudden pang of pain in her chest. She struggled to maintain her calm temperament hard as she kept taking deep breaths secretly to reduce the immense pain she was feeling.

Adi somehow noticed her discomfort. But he thought that she already had some drinks or feeling anxious for the gazes she was receiving.

"It's been a while that you had some soft drink. To lighten the effect of alcohols in your system, you need to drink some water or soft drink. Since our... This little Miss is also a light drinker, why don't you take some with her now." Adi said to Sylvia with a meaningful yet doting smile in his face.

People surrounding the Roy couple got stunned. A toast without alcohol, that's also from a little girl with unknown origin, it was way to shocking.

Nick's grip in his glass tightened. First a lady was announced as Adi's wife, now another was getting special attentions. This, Madam Roy also seemed to be pleased with her. If not someone from his food family clan or the known nobles, then who was she!

Mantisha almost choked on her own saliva by hearing Adi's comment. He was making it too obvious. Evelyn almost laughed out loud, she thought as she looked at the others that probably, she was the only one who was enjoying this drama.

"Sure. Why not." Sylvia smiled a little as she took a Virgin Mojito Adi offered.

Adi passed another Mojito Mocktail to Mantisha as he winked, "For now, just a sip will do."

The he raised his glass to them as he said, "To the newfound happiness."

Sylvia also joined him. "To the future."

Mantisha sighed, then smiled, as she said, "Cheers."

Looks like something's going to happen. The ladies wearing new sets of clothes are going to appear shortly.

Who was the man with deep blue eyes? Nick seems somewhat displeased with Mantisha, right?
