1 PROLOGUE

It's the year 20XX...The first A.I. chip is used on a Virtual Reality Full Drive Gear.

The world has become a world full of gamers. Almost everyone was issued the head gear. The problem is that most people cannot distinguish what is reality or virtual reality.

People often get stuck in virtual reality, that they forget to log off and eat or get exercise. It results in many deaths from malnutrition.

We start our story with a person named Tony Silverman. A mechanic of the world famous Capsule Corporation which was the leading manufacturer of the Virtual Reality Head gear.

"Alexa! Run a diagnostic on the storage unit of model A314. See if the increase memory improves the lagging of the system." - Tony

[BEEP!]

[INITIATING!.....RUNNING DIAGNOSTICS....]

[COMPLETED! RUN SPEED INCREASED BY .02%]

"Hmmm...Maybe i should create a nano memory chip to make the storage infinite so there won't be lagging in the future." - Tony

KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!

"Come in!" Tony answered

"Tony! This just came in! They want to stop the manufacturing of the head gear. There were too many deaths, so the FDA announced the ban of the headgear. The company is being sued big time! So they are letting go of people in our department." - the team manager said. "Do not worry! They are giving us a big severance pay and we can still file for unemployment for up to 2 years. Think of it as a long vacation. Once I get a good job, I will bring you in with me!" he said

"Really! Cool deal! I can focus on inventing a memory chip with nano technolgy. Maybe you can help me patent it in the future." - I said

He nodded and said." Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you. The company don't need the equipments here so you can take it home. I will personally write the approval. Is the least I can do!"

"Great! Let me rent a U-Haul truck quickly to get all this equipment home!"

I rented a truck and picked up all the equipments from the workshop and went home. I made my 2-car garage a workshop to invent my memory chip.

One year later...

"Alexa! Run a diagnostic in the nano chip and see the memory capacity, also run a dignostic on its durability."

[BEEP!]

[RUNNING!...BEEP!...BEEP!...BEEP!]

[ERROR! CANNOT COMPUTE CAPACITY! RUNNING DURABILITY!.....]

BOOOOM!

The chip was accidentally flung towards him. It was a mistake using explosives to test the durability of the chip.

The chip was so durable that it went thru the metal barriers of the test walls and straight to his skull.

He died without even knowing what happened.

Everything suddenly went dark. Suddenly, a voice in his head started to talk.

[BEEP!]

[FUSING WITH MEMORY CHIP! INITIATING]

[...BEEP! COMPLETE! RUNNING DIAGNOSTICS]

[...BEEP! COMPLETE!...ERROR...RECALCULATING!...BEEP! DONE! HOST BODY IS STILL FORMING!...AMOUNT TO COMPLETION IS 8 MONTHS...INITIATING DATA COLLECTING...INITIATING DATA COMPRESSION...INTIATING A.I. FUNCTION FOR SYSTEM OPTIMIZATION...COMPLETED!]

He was unsure of what just happened so he yelled out in his thoughts.

"Alexa! What the hell is going on?! And while were at it, why can't I move or see?! Am I in the hospital?!" - I asked panickly

[BEEP]

[HOST BODY EXPIRED! HOST BODY IS NOW IN PROCESS OF REFORMING! SCANNING BODY FOR DATA COMPARISON!...BEEP! HOST BODY IS THE SAME AS THAT OF AN EMBRYO IN THE FIRST TRIMESTER OF PREGNANCY!...SCANNING SURROUNDING FLUIDS AND BACKGROUND!...COMPLETE!...FLUIDS HAS DNA OF HUMAN BUT HAS SOME UNKNOWN RADIATION ENERGIES!...FILTERING HARMFUL RADIATION...BEEP! COMPLETE! GATHERING DATA ON RADIATION! ERROR! UNKNOWN! SYSTEM WILL KEEP ANALYZING LATER!]

"So I died huh! What's the deal with those radiation. Will I mutate? (sigh) I guess there's nothing I can do right now. Whatever complaints i have is useless to me. Why am I so calm and why do i feel comfortable." i pondered for awhile. It seems fascinating at first, but soon boredom start creeping in.

"Alexa! Please put me to sleep until birth!"

[BEEP! INITIATING! GOODNIGHT HOST!]

8 months later...

[BEEP! INITIATING WAKE UP MODE...ANALYZING HOST BODY...CONDITION NORMAL...HOST BODY IS MALE HUMAN...WARNING! UNKNOWN ENERGY RADIATION IS DETECTED IN HOST BODY...ENERGY NOT HARMFUL BUT HELPFUL TO BODY CONDITIONING! INITIATING LABOR FUNCTIONS FOR HOST BIRTH!]

"Wha-?! I'm finally getting out of here! Cool...this is going to be both gross and interesting!" I said

He was pulled out. He saw 2 huge figures but can't make out the faces. It was all blurry. His eyesight hasn't yet developed.

Then the midwives cut the umbilical cord.

"AAAHHH! WAAAAH! WAAAAH!" - he yelled in pain.

[BEEEP!]

[INITIATING ENDORPHINS TO EASE PAIN RECEPTORS!]

"Ugh! That shit hurts! You fucking bastards!" he yelled but nothing came out his mouth but baby cries.

Then he felt a sense of comfort when the female mother hugged him. He stopped crying and felt extremely sleepy.

[BEEP! UNKNOWN LANGUAGE! ANALYZING!]

Before I went to sleep I asked Alexa for my status. And a picture as clear as day popped out in my head.
