19 Assumption

The pale yellow and pink, glossy layer was able to lead one's mouth to water, and coupled with the red strawberry above it, the dessert appeared appetizing to Jinhee. Nonetheless, no action on her part was taken to try a bite out of it.

Serenity surrounded both of them whilst they were seated upon the second floor of Delights. A white chandelier— most likely a new addition— shone its light above the two of them, the only ones present there.

Jinhee's dark eyes held a dull expression while it fell upon the dessert, and a frown was evident on her face. Lower lips thrusted forwards, many would assume that Jinhee was in a deep thought on something solemn.

Nonetheless, Taehee found it amusing. To her, it appeared as if Jinhee was pouting and increased her desire to coax Jinhee. Multiple ideas on how to break that silent treatment she received from Jinhee popped into her mind.

Chuckling lightly— a move that surprised Jinhee moderately— Taehee picked up his dessert spoon and dug it into the jelly layer. Scooping up the dessert, Taehee forwarded it towards Jinhee.

"Open up, Jinhee-ah," Taehee spoke out— her eyes smiling.

Jinhee stared at Taehee with a blank expression, but mixed with it, there was astoundment present towards Taehee's actions.

Being forced against her will was not something Jinhee was fond of, but she was helpless. Threatening Jinhee that she'll use force against her if she isn't obedient, Taehee could only comply.

Taehee was not someone Jinhee could fight against now. Therefore, the only option for Jinhee to go through what Taehee had decided for her until Taehee gets bored, and at the same time, plan for ways to either get Taehee disinterested in her or avoid Taehee completely.

"No need. I have my own," Jinhee answered while picking up her dessert spoon. Since Jinhee preferred to keep her self-respect, she does not want to in complete control of Taehee.

"Don't reject me, Jinnie," Taehee stated. Her voice was coated with warningness, contrary to the warm expression that sat on her face.

Hesitantly, the scoop of dessert offered was accepted by Jinhee, and chewing the soft dessert, the taste blended in her mouth. The sourness of the strawberry could be detected, causing one to wince, but the flavour of banana relieved that.

The dessert seemed to be made carefully or else both the fruits wouldn't leave a pleasant taste by being coupled together. Nonetheless, Jinhee was in no mood to enjoy the dessert.

Her mind was plagued by countless thoughts. Even though Taehee being by her side had no negative impact on Jinhee's plans, Jinhee did not enjoy someone threatening her or not respecting her wishes.

Not wanting for Taehee to feed her again, Jinhee used the spoon to cut a piece of the dessert. But instead of placing it inside of her mouth, she toyed with it on top of the circular plate.

Taehee could only subtly and despondently sigh. It seemed that her actions today made Jinhee truly look at her with disfavored eyes, and in the future, she had to be much gradual with her steps. Jinhee distanced herself from Taehee much more she originally expected.

A dispirited smile curved up on to Taehee's lip while she raised up her hand. Rubbing her hand over Jinhee's hand softly, Taehee's eyes stared at Jinhee with adoration. Jinhee blinked her eyes once, thinking that gaze of Taehee was simply a fragment of her imagination.

"Since you don't want to, little squirrel, I won't force you," Taehee expressed, bringing both contentment and shock to Jinhee at the same time. This caused the distaste Jinhee felt within her to decrease.

"I have no interest in playing games with you, so please spare me," Jinhee voiced out, "Find someone else to mess with, and if you want, I can move out of the dorm room. There are many out there willing, so please do not force me."

A mischievous glint formed on Taehee's eyes while she responded, "That wouldn't happen."

Taehee's answer frustrated Jinhee. No matter how much Jinhee attempted, she could not pry out the reason from Taehee. The changes Taehee showed was remarkably large.

Could it be fate all along? This time because she was unwilling to get closer to Taehee, the fate caused Taehee to take the steps this time. This meant, the power of fate was strong, and Jinhee had to put in more efforts if she had to make differentiation.

There were also chances of Taehee getting a second chance similar to her, and this could her way for seeking vengeance towards Jinhee. This could explain why that day, Taehee and Jaehyun was at the second floor of dessert at the same time, and Jinhee was dragged along for Taehee wanted to show it off.

Today's actions towards Jinhee could be because Taehee wanted to prove how much power she had above Jinhee, and Jinhee could only obediently listen to her.

In the end, they were simply her assumptions and not the truth.
