Inside the room...

Yue Xiang and Lin Xu stood frozen by the door. They looked around the darkened room, but could find nothing but an empty bed. The white of the bedsheets stood out in sharp contrast to the dark colours of the rest of the room. A deep, rich red could be seen on parts of the pristine sheets.

Hoping that their friend was only in the washroom, Lin Xu hurried and opened the door to the ensuite. Frantically looking around at the deep porcelain tub, the tiled shower big enough for two people and even the toilet hidden in a corner, he was not able to see a single soul.

Darting back out into the bedroom, Lin Xu looked at Yue Xiang, who was standing by the open windows. The grey curtains fluttered in the cold air, more patches of red could be seen on the window still.
