21 Kidnapping

The other two rushed towards the third man and found blood gushing from his hand while he lied there screaming about the pain.

The first man removed his shirt and bound the third man's hand with it.

"What the fuck is that!" the second man screamed in terror while the third man was crying out loud in pain.

They heard an animal growling. All three men looked at each other, hyperventilating.

"D-d-di-di-did you hear that?" the second man stuttered.

The first man surveyed the room and found nothing. But when he glanced at the woman, he saw her surrounded by a shadow that seemed to be guarding her securely. Scared, he took his gun and cocked it. Trying to hide fear with arrogance he said, "Stop hiding, you asshole. Show yourself."

They heard a lightning strike accompanied by a strong gust of wind. All the light bulbs broke.

The second man shrieked. "I don't want to die… I don't want to die," he was muttering through clenched teeth and tried to run out of the factory.

The third man saw his action and warned him, "Don't go, you bastard, stick together."

Before he could step out, the shadowed pounced on his back and clamped his neck dragging him into the shadows. He was screaming all the while leaving bloody drag marks.

The first man was quaking in his boots as the blood drained from his face. He saw it. It wasn't just any animal. It was a monster, a blood-sucking monster.

"I will kill you. You… You motherfucker!" he cried in fear and started to shooting continuously.

The third man was at the brink of a blackout due to massive blood loss. He gathered the last bit of remaining strength and attempted to go out.

Suddenly the gunshots stopped. He turned around slowly only to face an enormous black leopard with golden eyes. He screamed out of fear.

Blood splashed on the wall as the silhouette of the animal brutally attacked the man.

The black leopard roared and moved towards Yue Wan.

-- Four hours ago --

Yue Xiang and Yue Yeager rushed home as soon as the meeting ended. Yue Xiang wanted to check the discovery in his report whereas Yue Yeager, well he probably wanted to spend time with Little Wan.

Upon his arrival, Yue Xiang went straight to his room for the foregoing tea.

Not finding Little Wan home, Yue Yeager occupied himself with new project files.

An hour later he asked Uncle Wang, "Did she mention where she was going?"

Uncle Wang was pouring tea for his master. "Young Miss said she had an appointment in XGP."

Yue Yeager was not in the mood for tea. Getting up, he said, "I will pick her up, she might be still there."

"Young Miss took the car which was delivered today. She said that in case of her delay, it should be informed to Young Master," Uncle Wang suddenly recalled.

Yue Xiang heard it as he came down. "Did she say who she was going to meet?" he inquired seriously.

"Young Miss just said that she would be back soon." Uncle Wang was planning to contact him if it is too late.

Yue Xiang immediately dialed XGP's manager's number. "It's Yue Xiang. Whom did my sister meet? When did she leave the plaza?"

The manager checked the CCTV and gave the full details. Yue Xiang asked for all camera footage after he received the information.

A concerned Yue Yeager moved towards his son, "Xiang, what happened? Is Little Wan still there?"

Yue Xiang did not answer his father's questions. H quickly made two more calls, one to a spy near Wei and another to an insider in Li. "Keep an eye, inform me if you find anything."

He inquired about the car she took. Used her phone GPS to track her location.

Next to him, Yue Yeager saw his actions. He knew that Little Wan is in trouble. He ranted several orders to Uncle Wang, "Shut-down the Villa's communication. Make sure no news leaks out. Interrogate each and every one. If found guilty, send them to the underground. Search the entire house, in case of bugs."

Yue Xiang noted down the address of her last location and gave his dad a nod, "I will bring back our Little Wan safely." Then he ran to his car with his bodyguards.

Yue Yeager prayed to God for the safety of his precious baby.

-- Near a Shop --

Yue Xiang was checking the shop's CCTV footage and murmured, "Calculating her time in here, she should have been at home an hour before my arrival."

He took his car through the same route she had taken, according to a camera, but even after half an hour, they couldn't find her whereabouts. He stopped the car and slammed the steering wheel in anger.

"Where are you, Yue Wan?" He was getting more scared as time passed by. He got down from the car and cried in agony.

While pacing, he spotted a shiny object twinkling like a star. He moved closer and picked it up. It was a broken piece of a mirror. Just then one of his security personnel called, "Young master."

Yue Xiang raised his head toward the direction of the voice and saw a damaged number plate in his hand. "This belongs to our Young Miss's car."

A sudden thought flashed in his mind. "Check around this area. Contact the civil service. Tell them to check any abandoned land or buildings along this road, even if its 100 km away. Be quick. We don't have much time." He hollered.

Yue Xiang made a call. "I need your help. My sister had an accident. She might be kidnapped."

"Give me a minute," the man from the other side replied.

The same hoarse voice continued, "Xiang, a specific number tailed your sister's location from home. Your sister's mobile was turned off at 5 km south from your location while that number was turned off at 13 km to your north."

The secretary came with his phone, "Young Master, there three buildings in this area. The first one 2 km in the southwest direction, the second is 50 km towards the northeast and the last one is 12 km to the north. There is an old wine factory that belongs to the Fan family."

Without wasting a minute, Yue Xiang headed to the wine factory. Upon reaching there he kept running inside with dread and anxiety. The entrance looked like that of a slaughterhouse. The room reeked of blood. Yue Xiang charged in. His solitary concern was his sister.

His secretary felt an urge to puke. "What in the world happened here?"

Yue Xiang saw his sister lying in a pool of blood while a big shadow stood before her like a protector. In a blink of an eye, it changed back to a small animal.

Yue Xiang thought his eyes deceived him. "It's just a reflection," he thought.

Yue Xiang checked her pulse. He had seen a few needles on the tables. Figuring that they might have sedated her, he searched for piercing marks. On discovering nothing, he, gladly carried her in a princess style to the vehicle while the little pet tailed behind him.

Before leaving he ordered, "Investigate their identities. And find out what killed them?"
