I looked at my mother's face and she looked furious. Should not she be happy to get rid of me just like she abandoned me before. If I had not lived my past life and didn't know what she did then I might have thought that she loves me. But nothing is as simple as it always seems.

"So what's going to happen to me now? Are you going to ship me off to council." I prodded while looking at my plate.

"No, how can you say that? You are my daughter, I will teach you myself." Mother said. And took a glass of water to calm her nerves down.

"But what if council forced you then?" I questioned.

"They can't force me to send you to them before you 18. After you come of age, it will be completely your choice. I'll support you in any way I can." My mother tried to reassure me.

"Are you sure they can't force me after my birthday? I don't like that Elder lady. The way she said that they will take the responsibility like that's a great honour, when they didn't even ask for other person's agreement." I said with a sad face and in quivering voice. I don't want to join any organisation without knowing the ins and outs of that place and people who run it.

"It can be a problem if you mate with someone from council after your birthday. Mating and mates are complicated." She said with a frown.

"How complicated? Can I only mate with witches?" I asked.

"No, cross species matings are common. But you don't know who your mate is until you are 18."she said.

"So witches can mate with humans? Does human know that they are mates?" I want to who will fate dump on me.

"No humans don't know that. With were's, vampires or warlocks, they can't fell the magic so they are unable to feel the bond." Oh goodie.

"So if were-person mate with the human, how will it effect the him or her?"

"It doesn't effect the human but it can effect weres because if he or she turns the human, it's good for were but if they decide not to then the were will live only the span of a human life and die. It's not just because that a mated pair can't live without each other, it's also for the fact that during their whole mating the beast of a were never had his counterpart. It cause him to weaken with the span of time and die after the human mate's death." She explained.

"And if a vampire mate with a human, how does that work?"

She snorted and said, "Vampires are pompous asses, they think that others are beneath them. They are most long lived race. Usually if they find out that their mate is human, they either kill them or reject them. If by chance the human rejects them, it gets their panty in a twist and they get obsessed with them. And believe me not in a good way. They make it their life's work to torment their other half. It's not just limited to humans, I have seen many witches and weres getting destroyed by their hand. I just hope that your mate is either from witch or were-person."

"Can a witch turn into vampire or were-person?"

"Yes, Witches are basically humans with powers, So it's easy for them to be turned. Even if they don't turn they can live for centuries, so life span is not a problem for us." She said frowning.

"Was your mate human? Was my father your mate?" As soon as these words left my mouth, the glass in her hand broke.

"You know I have the right to know about my father I'm not a kid anymore."

She sighed deeply and said, "Yes, my mate was human who me as soon as he knew that I was a witch and I have to run for my life." There was so much sadness in her eyes that it was drowning.

"No, My mate is not your father. He lived his life and died long before you were conceived. I don't know who your father was, it wasn't a love relationship or any relationship. I don't know, I just think that he was drugged and I was near so,...." I got up and walked to the other side of the table and hugged her.

My head was in a mess because it all made sense to me now but it also doesn't make any sense at all. My head is going to explode from all the thinking.
