Librarian

I stood outside the building for like an hour just thinking whether I should enter or not.

Oh God, it's Creepy. I have seen everything and been through a lot but ghosts are still creepy. They send chills down my spine.

I decided to go in, I think my mother is having a great laugh at home because she knows that ghosts creeps me out.

I enter the library and door shut close behind me, it felt like a horror movie scene. Where when the door closed behind you, it indicates that it's locked, you can't get out and you are going to stay as ghost.

Anyway I didn't even reached the librarian and first ghost pass through me already. They are cold and now I'm cold too. Stupid ghosts.

The librarian was and old woman with kind appearance. I hope she is kind.

"Hello, I'm a new witch who just awakened her powers, I'm not of age yet. But I did bring my Mom's card. Can I loan some basic knowledge books from here?" I asked in a hurried and nervous tone. I don't know why but I think I have to maintain a good relationship with her, like she can help me a lot.

She looked at me and covered her eyes with her hand and said, "Oh dear, you are certainly new. You are like a mini sun blinding people around you. Why Didn't your mother put a clocking spell on you? Show me your card."

I was so embarrassed, I just felt like I have made the worst faux pas of my life. I handed her my mother's card. She looked at it then she looked at me then again she looked at card, it's like she is watching tennis or ping pong.

I loudly cleared my throat bring her out of her virtual tennis match. Now she looked embarrassed with a tint of pink blush on her face. She looked absolutely adorable. I slowly brought my phone up and took her picture.

"Wah..... What?" She said with eyes wide open.

I shrugged my shoulder and said with an innocent face, "You looked so adorable, I'm sorry but I couldn't help myself."

I didn't expect it but she started laughing like a lunatic. I looked around and nobody was in the library and right about that time I started fearing for my life. After I got out of my thoughts and looked at her, she was wiping out the tears in her eyes.

"You are just like your mother, the same little flirt." And that got me tripping when I wasn't even walking.

"She said the same thing to me ,when we first met. She was like a terror in her own self.one time she almost destroyed my library that part terrifying and part amusing." She was visible shuddering. What did my mother actually did to this poor women? The look of horror on my face made her stop talking for a minute. I so desperately wanted to know how was my mother like in her youth but I didn't ask. I tried but the words didn't leave my mouth.

"So what kind of books do you want to borrow." She asked in a very professional tone. I had a very weird feeling like she was expecting me to ask her very unexpected and forbidden books. Then I understood, my mother must have asked exactly the same thing just like I was thinking.

Oh dear, Now I think my mother seems like a troublemaker in her early days. Great, just great. Witches are really long lived and have very good memory, I just hope she didn't pissed off all the older witches. I was crying in my head and was hoping it didn't show on my face.
