76 Chapter 76: Meeting The Tang Family (2)

"Master Jiang Man, welcome home." The head steward, Hang Ji Chang, greeted and bowed to Grandpa Tang and then he stood up, and turned to Yu Qi to greet her.

"Welcome, Miss Yu Qi. I'm the head steward of Tang House, Hang Ji Chang. I heard everything about you from my granddaughter, Miss Yu Qi." Steward Hang Jin Chang said.

"Huh? Your granddaughter? Who?" Yu Qi was confused, she did not remember meeting his granddaughter.

"The maid who takes care of Master Jiang Man in the town." Steward Hang Ji Chang gave her a hint of who his granddaughter was.

"Oh, Sister Chu Xiao." She remembered Sister Chu Xiao because she was the only maid in the house that took care of Grandpa Tang.

"Indeed, since it is already late, I prepared a light dinner for the two of you. Please follow me." Steward Hang Ji Chang politely said, leading the way.

"Everyone else?" Grandpa Tang inquires about other members of the family in the house.

"They ate and already retired to their bedroom. Your daughter-in-law wanted to greet you but your sons said it would be better to greet you tomorrow morning."

Steward Hang Ji Chang answered respectfully to his master.

"Good. Yu Qi dear, let's go eat. You, my dear, haven't eaten since this afternoon, right? I am also hungry." Grandpa Tang was satisfied with the steward's reply hence he didn't dwell on it much so, he pulled Yu Qi's hand and went to the dining room.

Steward Hang Ji Chang observed the two, grandfather and granddaughter pair, he realized his master behaves more like a loving grandfather to Miss Yu Qi compared to his three young masters.

Moreover, surprisingly he also felt Miss Yu Qi was well-behaved like a young lady born into a rich family. But he couldn't brood on his observations as his master's order brought him back to reality.

"Ji Chang, prepare a portion for my granddaughter's puppy." Grandpa Tang's ordered him but also made him quickly obey his order.

Aoi was over cloud nine when his master's grandfather remembered him, he was barking at Grandpa Tang as if saying 'thank you'.

"Woof."

"Hahaha, are you thanking me?" Grandpa Tang laughed.

"Woof," (Yes) Aoi answered.

"Yu Qi, this puppy is very clever." Grandpa Tang praised him, feeling happy for his granddaughter for having such a lovely and clever puppy.

Yu Qi just smiled. Of course, he was very clever. He was not a normal puppy, to begin with, contrary to his appearance.

The atmosphere was serene as the three individuals ate in a happy mood. After eating, Grandpa Tang asked Steward Hang Ji Chang to show her a room for Yu Qi to take rest for the night. She thanked Steward Hang Ji Chang for showing the way.

Entering the room, she locked the door, and while grabbing Aoi she entered her space. She wanted to take rest for about 1 hour before beginning her routine, she did want to rest outside because of the difference in time, and then it would be a waste.

"Aoi, Bo Ya, I want to sleep in the pavilion for about 1 hour, wake me up in an hour, okay." She asked the two cuties to become her alarm.

"Okay, Master." Both of them answered simultaneously, happily obliging to her requests.

Yu Qi quickly landed in the dream world, whilst both of the two cuties began to talk to each other.

"You can talk now." Bo Ya began to ask curiously.

"Yes, I'm learning from the Master." He happily nodded his head.

"How is the outside world? Is it fun?" He looked enviously at Aoi, oh how he wanted to go out and see the mundane world.

"Being together with Master was very fun." Aoi didn't realize his cute buddy was envious of him, delightfully discussing his happiness.

"Sigh...I'm jealous of you. You can go outside, while I only can be together with Master here. I don't know why. I tried to go outside by grabbing Master's clothes several times but it does not work." This made Bo Ya even more upset when he thought about his unsuccessful attempts to go out.

"Oh, I see."

"Also, before I forget about this, I want to ask you, how come you are here in this space?"

"Em...I remembered I was being chased by humans after they killed my mother, I ran and ran and then I ended up here. How I entered this space is a mystery. I just, fortunately, ended in here."

"Oh, I see. I thought you knew about this space."

They talked about many topics like old friends seeing each other after a long time, hence one hour passed rapidly. So, the two of them began to wake their master up.

"Master, wake up."

Bo Ya began to pat his master's cheek while Aoi patted her hand. Sensing her surroundings, Yu Qi woke up. She yawned while stretching her limbs then, she went to the lake and washed her face.

After that, Yu Qi walked toward the Pagoda. Before going to the usual rooms, she entered another room. This room belonged to her, she put some of her stuff inside the room and entered to look at something. Satisfied with what she had looked for, she went to her usual routine.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At six o'clock in the morning, she woke up, feeling refreshed. Yu Qi got out of her room and went to look for Steward Hang Ji Chang in the kitchen, as expected she found him there.

"Grandpa Hang." She decided to call Steward Hang Ji Chang, Grandpa Hang instead because she assumed that he might be the same age as Grandpa Tang.

"Yes, Miss Yu Qi. What can I help you with?" Steward Hang Ji Chang approached Yu Qi.

"Hmm...Where can I find someplace to do my morning exercise?" She asked as she did not want to go to a random place. After all, it would be rude if the owners of the house knew about that.

"Oh, you can use the garden. Let me show you the way." Steward Hang Ji Chang led the way to the garden, while also feeling amused by the girl's cautious behaviour. She really was a well-bred young lady.

"Thank you, Grandpa Hang." She followed Steward Hang Ji Chang. After a few minutes of walking, they arrived in front of the garden.

"Here is the garden. Miss Yu Qi, you can do the morning exercise here, but please be aware that breakfast will be served at 8 a.m." Steward Hang Ji Chang kindly reminded her of the household breakfast time.

"Thank you, Grandpa Hang." Yu Qi bows to Steward Hang Ji Chang.

Steward Hang Ji Chang left the garden.

Yu Qi took a deep breath, the air in the city was different compared to her hometown. The fresh air of the town could never be compared to the polluted air of a city, but she didn't dwell on it much. She started to stretch herself, as Aoi quietly watched his master doing the morning exercise. After 30 minutes of exercise, she sat down and rested a little bit.

However, unknown to her, someone approached her from her back and hugged her. As a response, she performed a judo technique she learned, doing a single back throw to the person who hugged her.

The unfortunate person was groaning in pain. Yu Qi took a look at the daring person, she did not recognize the daring stranger, hence, she looked at the facial features of the young man. He looked like someone she knows. She caught up quickly with her sharp sense, this should be the second grandson of Grandpa Tang, Tang Jin Wei.

"Are you okay?" Yu Qi asked.

"How can a girl like you, single back throw someone?" Tang Jin Wei stood up and looked at the girl, grimly.

He did not know who this girl was, but he thought this little girl was one of their maids. So, he decided to pull a prank on her. Who would have thought this petite girl would do the single back throw, but the point was she knew judo and seriously, god, it hurts!

"You are the wrong one, how dare you hug me? You should be grateful that I'm not castrating you." She smirked at Tang Jin Wei, as an evil glint passed through her eyes.

Tang Jin Wei was shocked. "How can a girl just throw words like that?" Feeling embarrassed, whoever this girl was, she was really shameless.

Yu Qi did not answer him, simply ignoring his refute, as she just casually glanced in one direction.

Tang Jin Wei quickly defended himself, seeing his reaction. Yu Qi smiled and went inside the house.
