30 Chapter 30: A Twist Truth

Seeing Yu Qi blocking them from returning home, Wang Fu Ya and Madam Wang frowned. They were afraid that Yu Qi wanted them to return the money back.

Yu Qi was smiling sweetly. How could she not know about their thoughts? It already was written on their faces. She did not want that money back. She wanted to give it to the Wang Family for their effort in raising her until now.

"Just to be clear, I did not steal your money. I will never admit to a crime I did not do." Yu Qi said loud and clear.

The frown on the Wang Family's faces kept increasing. Wang Fu Ya mind, at this moment, tried to figure out what Yu Qi planned to do.

"They try to accuse me of stealing money that has never existed." Yu Qi's statement made people in that restaurant gasp in surprise.

"Sis, we don't want the matter to be pursued anymore. You already returned the money to us. If you keep doing this, your reputation will be ruined." Wang Fu Ya silently gave Yu Qi to stop.

"My reputation? I will manage it myself. May I ask Madam Wang when you started to keep that money?" Yu Qi had laid her trap. She was waiting for Madam Wang to jump into it.

"One year old." Madam Wang quickly answered that. She just wanted to leave this place quickly.

"Oh, then let me ask you, what is your husband's monthly wage?" Yu Qi threw the question again.

"500. What? It is not related to this matter." Madam Wang started to feel angry. Madam Wang thought Yu Qi just randomly asked that question.

Calculating from your husband's wage, minus monthly rent, and daily utilities of around 450, you will get around 50 to save. Then that 50 multiple with 12 months, you only can save around 600. Did you say you did not check it for a long time?" Yu Qi laid her last trap.

"Yes." Madam Wang still answered confidently. Wang Fu Ya already understood what Yu Qi tried to say. She tried to pull her mother's sleeve. But her mother did not notice that.

"Moron." Yu Qi stated the same meaning of the word 'stupid'.

"So, that money never existed in the first place. This old man really opens his eyes now. I saw many shameless people but never thought I would see someone shameless yet an idiot. Accuse someone of stealing her non-existing money?" One old man stood and joined their conversation.

Wang Fu Ya already paled. This was because of her mother. She just ruined everything with her mouth. Seeing her mother wanting to say something, she pulled her mother's sleeve strongly, making Madam Wang turn to her. She shook her head. Madam Wang immediately knew something was wrong.

"Let me tell you something. Five days ago, I went to the nearby mountain to find some wild vegetables to sell."

"Yeah, we saw that girl. We also reminded her not to go to that mountain but she insisted." The man who just spoke is the villager that she met on the way to the mountain.

Yu Qi continued her story. "I went into the mountain and managed to collect some wild vegetables. However, I also found something else. I found ginseng. It's not normal ginseng. It's a 1000-year-old ginseng. So, I sold it to a shop. They paid 5 million for that ginseng. That's why I have some money with me. I didn't steal your money. If you don't believe me, you can go and ask that shop. Its name was Godly Herbs." Yu Qi finished her story looking provokingly at Wang Fu Ya.

"Oh, you are the one who sold that ginseng to Old Man Tang. He bragged to me about it." The old man from earlier spoke again.

With this, it was proof that Yu Qi was telling the truth. Now everyone looked at Wang Fu Ya and Madam Wang with many different looks.

"I will give that money to you as my gratitude for raising me. Now we owe nothing to each other." Yu Qi pointed straight to the envelope that Madam Wang hold.

These two women froze when they heard. Madam Wang managed to recover herself and pulled Wang Fu Ya's hand to escape from there. Yu Qi smirked evilly. She will never be kind to people who wanted to hurt her.
