37 Revenge 36: Crying Again

"Oh yeah! I remember! Your mom told us when you were still at the hospital she said that she knew our parents way back!" Zen exclaimed at Anna and Aaron.

At that time Anna and Aaron were not listening to them since Anna is busy praying that her mother would not scold her and Aaron is in deep thoughts trying to figure out on who planned to kidnap them. They now only heard about their parents having a close relationship with each other.

In Aaron's thoughts, he thinks that if his mother is close to someone does that mean Nathalia, Josh and Zen's parents are part of the organization that his mother had mentioned to him before? That is the only logic he can come up with because he knew that her mother is not someone that anyone can be friends with so easily and of course, Anna also thinks this way.

On the other hand, the three childhood friends don't know anything about their parents' secret organization they're oblivious about it, the only thing that they know is that when their parents were still young like them they were part of a gang. The three of them tried to find out about it using Nathalia's hacking skills but all the info's about their parents' back in their youth days were all gone and they gave up after getting failure result.

Leonardo and Mary had stopped their little bickering and turn their attention to the kids who's been watching the both of them the whole time. This made the silent Leonardo felt embarrassed and to make his embarrassment go away he cough lightly and asked Nathalia, "What are you doing here? Aren't you allowed to go out until further notice?"

Nathalia scratched the back of her head before answering her father's question, "I sneak out...hehe." Nathalia can only act cute in front of her father and to no one else and when she does this Leonardo's guard is down he always have a weak spot for his precious daughter.

"Come on now, Leo! Nothing will happen if she's under my roof." Mary said. Of course, Leonardo knows this very well the Coleman residence are pack with skillful people; even some of the maids here have the skill to kill and to protect the young master and the young miss of the house. That's why it's safe for his daughter to be here but his only concern is that coming here is dangerous because the cause of the kidnapping the other is not solved yet and they don't know when they will plan to take action again. Taking precaution is a must!

Mary knows this very well too but she's not like Leonardo who's overly protective to his daughter. She's taking precaution alright; she allows the twins to go on wherever they want and if they go out she sends someone to watch over them in the shadows, also her twins know how to fight back when they needed to. What's the use of her harsh training to them if they're not even using it?

Mary looked at her daughter and felt a little bit disappointed Anna could've dodged the bullet that was coming towards her that day but she didn't. As far as she knows her daughter has great reflexes, she wonders what makes her daughter distracted not to dodge the bullet. That's why she decided to tell her later that every time there's danger Anna needs to be cautious at all times and not to get distracted until it's safe.

Sitting all alone in her study room Mary is too focus on the documents that her assistant had sent her. Ever since she took over Coleman Corporation her schedule is always tight that sometimes she thinks that she doesn't have enough time to her own children. At first, when her father-in-law told her to take over the Coleman Corporation and she was rejecting it multiple times because in her own opinion she's not good enough for the position.

She suggested that it should be James but Marcus doesn't want James to take over the business; the reason was because of James' arrogance, because of that arrogance their business might fall in just a month that's what made Marcus want Mary to take over their business. Mary is much more suited for the position like her husband.

"Where are you...?" She subconsciously said. Thinking about her husband again made her angry but at the same time extremely sad. Her husband suddenly disappeared without a trace; she tried to find him but it was no use everything single trace has vanished like he didn't exist in the very beginning.

It's has been eleven years since his sudden disappearance and she still didn't give up on searching for him. From time to time she still goes to the same place where they had their first date together thinking that there might be a chance that he will be there waiting for her, but every time she goes at that place her heart breaks from disappointment.

Mary can only list two possible things that what might have happened to her husband; one, he might have an affair and ran off with her; two, something might have happened to him and died. Thinking of these two possibilities makes her heart shatter once again.

"Crying again?" Leonardo who just entered without knocking saw her deep in thoughts and when he saw her suddenly cry he can't help but to curse that man because he knew the only person who can make her cry like this is because of him and only him. They've known each for a long time even before the gang was formed so even if he doesn't say it, he knows in his heart that Mary is his best friend and Mary also thinks the same so it's natural for him to be worried about Mary.

Mary looks up to him and wiped her tears while smiling bitterly, "I guess so..." Leonardo felt sad for her and he really hopes that man is still alive so that he can punch his face with full force. That man made Mary cry silently multiple times now since his disappearance.

There's no romantic relationship between Leonardo and Mary even back in their youth days, they only think of each as friends and that's it. Mary has always helped him, like the time he was trying to woo his wife and also the time when he was too nervous at his wife giving birth to his one and only precious daughter. He owed Mary a huge debt that's why he's trying his best to find an answer to that man's sudden disappearance.
