Andrew was excited. He was nervous, too. But, mostly excited for the arrival. Even though, he was against the idea of having another baby, he learned to love his second unborn child with the help of Beatrice. And finally the time came. When it was time for the birth of the baby, he was very excited to welcome his daughter. 

He knew it was a daughter. He even had the stone tightly held in his hand when he was waiting outside the room, waiting for the cries of his new born to be heard. He was pacing back and fro. He only halted his paced walk when he heard his child's first cry. The faint cries coming from the room.

Tears welled up in his eyes when he heard the cries. His daughter was here, he wiped his eyes and looked down at the stone in his hands. It was sparkiling brightly, slightly reflecting the light that was faintly falling onto it from the window.
