24 Chapter 24. Playful bickering

Evan didn't expect her to ask such a question. His blood gushed in reverse direction hearing her out of the blue query. The whole situation seemed surreal.

He was unprepared and was taken aback when he heard her. As a result, unknowingly to himself, his snow white ears and face turned red and his skin color only complemented his shyness in a greater origin than ever.

Almost, immediately gaining his compose, his stern look returned back to his face, his face slowly fading from the redness.

Clearing his throat, "I thought you needed a dress to change? ", he replied adamantly avoiding her question, indirectly telling her to go change into it instead of asking him weird questions.

Of course, that wasn't any weird question, it was him who didn't want to admit it, that he himself bought it for her himself out of shyness. Call him coward but, he was not going to admit that he bought that dress for her. It just screamed 'Aeinshia' when he saw that in the market of Valencia.

When he went out to a restaurant with his friends for dinner while staying in city vile, he came across this dress in his return way to the dormitory. He immediately wanted to buy it no matter the cost. After all, this cute blue dress resembled the same colour of Aeinshia's eyes. And he knew this would look amazing on her.

After coming back to the dormitory and bidding everyone else bye, without thinking another moment he went to the shop and bought the dress to his room. He was stuck at the shop wondering whether it would fit her or not. But, nevertheless he bought, with only thought whether she would like it or not. For his action on whim made him to get teased by Peter for many months who managed to trail after him to watch his moments.

It's pretty normal to buy anything for a girl,but what made him get amused was this ever cold faced Prince, who broke many young beautiful girls hearts without blinking an eye,now he himself got a dress for someone. So he began teasing him asking 'who was that girl' out of curiosity.

But he could care less much about it, cause the only thing he thought was how Aeinshia would look when she wears this dress and how will she feel when he gave it to her.

And the second thing was, Peter would always follow him like a shadow and he couldn't ditch him easily, so he didn't care his presence while buying the dress.

Everything happened in a split second, that, Aeinshia now began to doubt her sight wondering whether he blushed or not. She keenly observed his face once again and saw his paralyzed face with no expressions. A tinge of disappointment enveloped her understanding that was all her imagination, she pouted and her eyes dropped low. Hearing his voice she came back to reality and raised her eyes to meet his. But, she can swear she saw it. But, somehow it seemed far from reality so, she decided it was not real and just a sick but sweet imagination of her mind. But, one thing that she caught proved she saw it.

There it was, a slight pink shade dancing on his ears, which didn't recover yet from his coyness. it was so pleasing to her eyes to see him in that state. Seeing it she wanted to tease him a little more.

The ever ice cold hearted Prince was now turned pink from embarrassment, so obviously everyone wants to play with him and Aeinshia was no exception.

"But before that shouldn't you explain about this dress to me? ", a playful smile placed on her lips showing, she was enjoying the whole situation.

"Looks like my little Aeinshia became so mischievous to play with this big brother of her? ", he gave a great emphasis on 'MY' and then continued, " Should I knock some discipline into you", he raised his eyebrows as though he was asking her but his light hearted speech told he too got into the play of teasing with her.

When they were young, Aeinshia used to calling him as 'brother Evan', so when he himself called him brother, Aeinshia didn't find any unfamiliarity and continued their word fight. In fact when she heard him say my little Aeinshia and stressed 'my' under his breath , she was on cloud nine and thought it would be great if time stopped at this perfect moment.

She stuck out her tongue for him showing he was no fun and rebuked back, "I am sure you can't face the wrath of my uncle later".

Hearing her," Are you a kid to complain everything to my father? ", he asked amused at her childishness.

No one was willing to obey other.

Aeinshia muttered under her breath, I indeed became a child living in a child's body... I shouldn't have bought my uncles name.she herself got amused when she realised what she told just now.

Noticing her not speaking, he finally decided to give into the situation, "I bought it as a gift", he curtly replied. Who would have thought, for him to not to mention 'he bought it for her', her thoughts again ran wild.

Listening to him she assumed it might be someone else's gift and denied to wear it thinking it's not good to take what belongs to others. She refused to get her hopes high even though she wished it was for her. Only if she knew the reality.

'No Aeinshia, you can't accept it, you already got a good lesson and great experience from your last life for trying to gain what can't be hers. Nor this dress, nor his heart belonged to you in first place, so don't take it.He was being nice to you just because you are his childhood friend.Don't take his generosity as love', she muttered in her heart.

She sincerely wished to take a gift from his hands which was brought for her, which was meant her. Now it's happening, he was giving her with his hands, yet she doesn't want to accept it thinking its not her's.

Evan saw her reluctance to take it and instantly understood whats going on in her brain of hers just by taking a glance at her face. He suddenly gave a flick on her forehead hardly, but not too hardly for her in wince in too much pain.

"Shh!! Why should you use your hand instead of your mouth", she basically shouted back at him for giving a blow on her forehead.

" Otherwise do you want to stand here for your whole life ? ", he spoke abruptly and got a little close to her, leaning a little near her petite figure, " Actually, that wasn't a bad idea. However you will marry me and stay with me in this room in future. So it's for our own good if you start staying here from now", he spoke frivolously and seemed thinking as if 'that was a good idea to begin with'.

"Ugh!! Ugh!!.... ", she coughed as choked on her own saliva listening his words, pushed him away from her with a great threshold and stared blankly at him not knowing how to retort back, but her body betrayed her, a flush of enthusiasm rose to her cheeks.

Evan expected this reaction from her, but what he didn't know was she turned crimson red as enthusiasm took her instead of shyness. She looked so alluring and adorable. Only he knows how much he wished to hold this face of her between his hands at this moment. She was just a hands limit yet so far to reach. But nothing disappointed him, since he made up his mind to make her fall head over heels for him and got encouraged when he thought it.

"What?? I just told it so that you could get familiar with my place", his eyes looked into hers, " Looks like someone misunderstood my words", he replied arrogantly and coolly. Of course, Evan Seazle was a man of words. He can easily make you speechless with his use of words.

'This brat, he is playing with me from the start.Its my mistake to start teasing him and now I'm at loss of words to payback him', Aeinshia thought and grabbed her head reflecting it was her mistake to pick up with him.

Never even in her dreams did she imagine that this always serious and stern looking guy even knows how to play jokes and make others speechless. And now, she is that lucky person who stood tongue-tied in front of him, how she wished to bury herself digging a hole.

Turning around, "I am going back to my house"she placed the dress in his hands and was ready to leave.

Evan knows this time he really crossed his lines, so he straight away went after her to pursue her, " Wait Aeinshia. I was just joking. Who would have thought you would get all flustered at a mere joke", his voice as innocent as a child played in her ears.

Aeinshia knows he would come running after her, so she knowingly started to leave the grounds to see how he quells her anger and appeases her.

She turned around to face him. Her eyes widened in bewilderment looking at him. She didn't expect it.
