18 Chapter 18. Lovesick fool!

All of them walked out together to the carriage.Prince Evan decided that Aeinshia would be coming in his carriage.

At first Evan thought it wouldn't be appropriate for Aeinshia to witness the crime scene since he didn't quite know what happened there and he was afraid she might mentally get affected looking at the dead bodies since she is still a blooming flower who was well preserved by his family and uncle.

In his eyes she's still a kid who did't know the outside world and it is his duty to protect her from all the harms this world brings upon her.

He saw many girls who seemed to over-react just at the mention of the word 'blood' and some even fainted when they really saw blood.

But now looking at this petite figure who decided herself to join him told that she was not the same Aeinshia anymore whom he left 6 years ago before training. She changed. It's like she became more mature and became more sensible.She was like a completely newly transformed person. To him the change was new but, he liked it.

She should be strong and brave enough to protect herself and be prepared, he muttered in his heart and felt satisfaction enveloping his heart.

He began to take slow strides as he pulled Peter's sleeve. Peter didn't understand what's going on. However he realised that Evan was taking slow strides. Looking at his feet, "Can you walk any more slower. Even girls walk faster than you", he commented without thinking still his gaze lingering on Evan's feet.

Aeinshia heard Peter but she choose to pretend not to hear him as she marched forward.

Evan got petrified at his friend's way of analysing the situation and thought Aeinshia might have heard him.When he saw no response from her, he heaved a sign of relief, thinking, she didn't hear it. He only wanted to tell him not to disturd when he was with Aeinshia in the carriage.

He smiled devilishly at Peter. "I suggest you to take another carriage or sit with the driver for this ride", even though he said in a suggestive tone it came out as an order to Peter.

After long time it would be only two of them, he really wanted to enjoy the time with her so he choose to drive out Peter from the scene not meddling with them. If everything goes well they might be even spending a quality time together and he can use this opportunity to get close to her heart.

Awakening him from his thoughts Peter asked," Why? It's not like the carriage is small for us three? ".Peter truly didn't understand why he should take another carriage when he could simply take this one which could easily fit five members more or less.

Evan felt at loss of words. He quite didn't understand what to tell to this guy standing next to him with a dumb look on his face, for an instant Evan wanted to punch that stupid face of Peter and knock some sense into him.

"I wonder how my father thought of making you my aide? ", he self pitied himself to get into this situation.

"It's because I'm quick witted, trust worthy, intelligent and charming along with a person of character... ", he started to praise himself not forgetting to show off his beauty in his shower of praises.

" Narcissistic... then this quick witted brain of yours is not working now? ", Evan cocked an eye brow.

Peter was a hard working man, always accompanied Evan showing his friendship morals and Evan too trusted Peter. He is good looking , a honest and humble person but the only problem with him was he asks too many questions just like a question paper. It's not that he doesn't have brains its just he doesn't bother to use it when he could simply get answers from others.

Repeating Evans words again he understood what Evan meant. His mouth twitched knowing Evan had a crush on Aeinshia. He began to place dot after dot to connect all the dots together and reminded himself how Evan behaved when he was with Aeinshia . He literally changed into a new character all cool and lovey dovey whenever he was with her.He even ordered to make cake which must have meant for Aeinshia. Peter felt how dumber could he have been not noticing it earlier.

Peter felt happy for his friend to find his love and it happened to be his family member too. So Evan don't have to worry about convincing the Emperor to their marriage and it was already a given that Princess Aeinshia was announced as Evan's wife. He felt Evan's love path was already smooth going and only thing left was to wait till Princess Aeinshia reached sixteen which means she came of age and could marry the prince.

"You lovesick fool. Choosing Love over friends. hmph!!!! ", snorting he went ahead of Evan. Even though he felt happy for Evan he wanted to pretend he was angry for throwing him aside.

Evan didn't mind this as he was used to this childish side of Peter. When he went near carriage he saw Aeinshia had already got into the carriage and as told Peter sat beside driver looking more lively than before as he happily chatted with the driver.

He then climbed onto the carriage and saw Aeinshia , who sat at the other side. He took a sneaking peek at her and saw she was lying there, as she was seriously thinking something. He observed her face for a few more moments and decided to take a seat beside her.

He was about to take his seat when he heard the driver to lash the whip on the horse. His eyes widened as he lost his control over his footing because of the sudden force.
