Chapter 2 Academy Days

Leon found out that in Konoha, in the orphanage he was named Leon, without a family name. It's been 3 years since he was transmigrated to Konoha. Here he was a no name orphan, without a clan.

In the Academy he was considered a regular kid. His relationship with the future Sanin is quite decent. Tsunade was pretty, and Orochimaru a loner, Jiraiya? Who's that, he doesn't recognize a pervert. In reality he was quite close to them. One thing he learned from many fanfiction is that making friends and getting some influence on important characters is the key to survival.

Leon days are mostly filled with training. His shuriken and kunai throwing is quite decent. Not to mention Chakra Control as his only way right now to build up Chakra capacity. He was quite lucky to be a good friend with Tsunade as she gives him one or two jutsu scrolls of D rank jutsu for him. Well mostly because he scammed her by betting things with her. Legendary sucker indeed.

Another reason why in Naruto World being in Clans or if your family is a former Ninja would give you advantage like giving you some Chakra herbs to increase the growth of your Chakra Capacity. Really reminds him of the Cultivator's world.

He has a suspicion that one or two of the parents of the youngsters body he hijacked are probably Ninja, as his Chakra reserves are decent.

Even Sakura Haruno who is considered a Civilian Ninja has Ninja Parents. If you are pure Civilian without any Shinobi parents, you won't have a decent enough Chakra Network to even join Shinobi Academy. Civilians can't even use Kawarimi Jutsu, a staple of the Shinobi world.

If you compare him to regular Shinobi, Leon is considered average. And he would try to keep it that way, not to bring scrutiny of the more unscrupulous part of Konoha aka the Root. He doesn't know if the current Root would be good or bad, but better safe than sorry.

One mindset that he learned a lot from reading so many fanfiction, reading Romance of Three Kingdom is that those who survive are usually not the strongest, the bravest, but the smartest. Unless you have the will protecting you, you die. The second best thing? Do not tempt the world to get their eye on you.

There are so few places he could use to train. To be unruly and secretive in Konoha is nearly impossible. There are many Chakra sensors Ninja who maintain the village barrier. Most of them turn a blind eye on you, but if they detect use of C-or A Class Jutsu outside the Clan compound or designated training ground? You are screwed. They turn a blind eye on Genin, on Academy students? He could get locked in the T & I division.

Another thing in his mind is about the Uzumaki Clan. Right now the Uzumaki clan are not targeted, but the signs are already there. If the Uzumaki clan was here, Zetsu wouldn't be able to incite a rogue Uchiha to steal the Kyuubi.

So when he met Tsunade and Orochimaru in a single meet in a restaurant one day after training, he tried to slip in the issue.

"Yo Tsunade-chan, Orochimaru-kun"

"Hi Leon-kun. Are you here to get some ramen?" ask Tsunade.

"Are you here after your training with Hokage-dono?"

"Yes"

"Where's Jiraiya?"

"I think he go somewhere with Hokage-sama, probably peeking on girls bath"

After ordering some Ramen, Leon sits with the two of them and enjoys the food. Damn this Tonkotsu ramen is quite good.

"Tsunade-chan, I am worried about the Uzumaki. I think other village would target them"

"Why?"

"Uzumaki is too strong of a Clan to be left alone. And we can't quickly send help to them if they are attacked"

"He has a point, Tsunade. Other Villages won't like it if we are too strong. Uzumaki was renowned to be as strong as Uchiha and Senju in the old days. You know how the Senju are heavily targeted in the first Shinobi war"

"Why do you think so? It's not like war would happen"

"It is in our nature. War would happen if our interests are threatened, worse on Shinobi whose redeeming quality is in Martial. War is continuation of Politics Tsunade. Conflict are born from human interest, when those interest clash, people fight, if they know no other way to resolve it, war erupt"

Orochimaru deepened his thought by listening to Leon's speech. It is his first time listening to that kind of philosophy. Tsunade just watched Leon with interest.

"One other thing on my mind, I wonder If you could pass it to Hokage-dono. We need to train more Combat Medic while we are still at peace. At least every team should have one or two combat medic in their hand"

Leon knows that his speech today could bring interest to Hokage.

"Why don't you have a dream to be a Hokage. My little brother always screams that he wants to be a Hokage" say Tsunade.

"Only an Idiot wants to be a Hokage. Being a Hokage means paperwork, politics. If I could get away with it, I leave it to some idiots who accept the hat" say Leon.

"I think I would tell this issue with my Grandmother. Perhaps she could talk with Granduncle to move the Uzumaki to Konoha" say Tsunade.

"I would talk about your concern of Combat Medic to Hokage. What do you wanna pay me with" ask Orochimaru.

"I wonder if you are interested on a Wind Jutsu I make"

Meanwhile in a tower somewhere, Hiruzen Sarutobi feels quite insulted. While he feels grateful for Leon's insight, he always pissed off with the brat refusal on being responsible.

From many kids, he thought this boy in reality was quite talented. Another few weeks before graduation. He probably put that boy with Chen.

Leon's interests on what he desires from this world are Magnet Release, and Chakra Strings. According to his knowledge, Jiton, or Magnet Release are created by mixing Earth and Wind. But he theorized that in reality Jiton is made of Earth and Lightning release. He is quite happy when he finds out he has a Lightning Release.

"I wonder if I could mimic Enel, or Misaka Mikoto" he thought.

Every day after he succeeds to master water walking, he tries to find out his chakra nature mastery and tries to make Chakra threads. He did not try to make Rasengan, for the jutsu is too Chakra intensive. Unless someone has a Jonin chakra capacity, or a Jinchuriki, trying to train to use Rasengan is probably a suicide.

Another thing he found out is the better someone is on Chakra control, the less he needs to make a hand seal. Leon always tries to remove his need to do a hand seal when to use a jutsu.

There are a few more days before his graduation. He already mastered enough on Kawarimi, Henge, and Bunshin. So he probably passed, but he doesn't know if he could pass the second test. Well he would think about it after he passed the graduation test, the worst case he was thrown to Genin Reserve Squad. Beside the main goals of his quest are just surviving the Second Shinobi war.
