I was munching on my breakfast as I opened the quest from yesterday

I was pleasantly surprised at the fact that I had gotten that much stronger through only one mission but I knew that soon it would take much more to level up. I then decided to use my 1 gacha ticket with no real hope of getting anything good. A wheel then appeared and started spinning right in front of me and after like half a minute it stopped and revealed that I had gotten

I finished eating and then decided to head out and explore Gotham due to the fact that the only places where I have been is school, the docks, and my house. Once I was walking outside I realised that Gotham was a shit hole, sure it may look nice but there were criminals on every other corner talking about 'yo, you are on our turf so give us your money'. That happened five times i got a total of 50xp for each criminal I beat. I quickly returned home with nothing really showing after my day of walking around Gotham.

Nothing much has happened in the past week, I have done a lot more of my Vigilanteism around Gotham and I have managed to get stronger, there have been no more quest and recently I decided that I was going to try my hand in metropolis. So I then took the train to metropolis and told my mom that I was meeting some old friends there so that she would not worry about me, to which she just replied with 'oh alright sweetie, I hope you enjoy!'. I am now in metropolis wearing my demon mask and my new hero "outfit", the term outfit is used very loosely, it consisted of a tight black tank top which showed off my muscular build and loose dark blue gym shorts. I have been running around Metropolis and picking of a couple of low level thugs, they were all very weak and I just knocked them out using my new fighting style which was actually very good. I am currently running across the roof of a building when I spotted some dark smoke not that far away, I quickly ran over to the black smoke and noticed that this was the location of the first episode, Cadmus.
'Shit, I did not think that it would start now'
Not really thinking about anything I ran as fast as I could towards the burning building when an explosion went off blowing two scientists out of the building, I immediately used my fire feet to Blast myself towards them, going faster and faster wanting to reach them in time. My body was beginning to blur as my flames were starting to turn golden, I reached the two scientists and immediately changed my direction to fly upwards, making me parallel to the building before I turned off my fire feet and let myself fall backwards. This caused the scientists to scream in worry before I used my fire feet again to hover myself down to the floor. When I was on the floor I saw that the three sidekicks were already climbing into the building, I then quickly used my flame manipulation to extinguish all of the fires in Cadmus before using my fire feet as a launching boost towards the window that the sidekicks had entered the building through. When I landed on the windowsill, I noticed that they were talking about me so I said
"Wow, the sidekicks that could are talking about little old me"
instantly they were on edge, Aqualad grabbed his water sabres while Robin and Kid Flash got into fighting positions. Kid Flash, obviously being offended, said
"Hey, who are you calling a sidekick. I'll have you know that we are now official heroes of the justice league unlike you demon face"
I just looked at him for a solid minute before snickering a little and saying
"Yeah right, you're probably just the eternal sidekicks to your mentors. Unlike me who is a hero that can do what he wants, when he wants. Anyway, I did not come here to fight but to solve whatever mystery that is going on with this place, it feels...off"
Aqualad perked up at this and sheathed his sabres before saying
"Ah so we have a common goal, there is no need to fight among us. My name is--"
"Aqualad, I know, just like I know that His name is Robin and the cocky brat next to him is Kid Flash"
I cut him off by saying this, making all of them look surprised for some reason, I then said
"You do know that you are famous, right? everyone knows about you, or want to be you. I mean even I am a bit starstruck, you are the future justice league after all."
They all looked sheepish making me shake my head and leave the room, with Aqualad right behind me. I quickly looked towards the elevator feeling something look at me, I looked to my left and saw a weird alien looking thing in the elevator (which would later be known as a genomorph). It quickly used the elevator to go down, making me walk towards the elevator while saying to Aqualad and the rest of the heroes
" Am I the only one who saw the weird alien use an elevator during a fire. And, correct me if I am wrong here, but isn't that an express elevator"
"No, you are definitely right about seeing something using an elevator"
Said Aqualad, which Robing quickly followed up with by saying
"And bravo for the instincts, as you are right about this being an express elevator, which is weird considering this is a 2 story building"
I went up to the elevator door before placing my burning hand on the cold metal and turning the entire door into nothing but liquid metal. I looked behind me and saw two shocked faces and one face that looked like he was in awe. Kid Flash, the one who was in awe (obviously) said
"That was soooo cool, is that your power, ya know... Your fire"
"Well...Yeah, what else would it be"
I responded with, which quickly silenced Kid Flash as he realised how stupid of a question that was. I then looked down into what looked like a bottomless pit and said
"Well, I don't think that this is just two floors. So, I think we go down and explore a bit"
Robin just laughed and agreed before using his sip-line and grappling hook mix and attached it on the roof of the elevator and zipped himself down with me going second almost 4 seconds later, followed by Aqualad and then Kid Flash. once Robin ran out of zip line we jumped on the ledge that was available and Robin hacked into the system and I forced the door open. Robin then said
"Welcome to project Cadmus"
Kid was about to run away before I grabbed his shirt and pulled him back throwing him down on the floor. He looked very angry and was about to say something before I did the shush motion and pointed in the direction that he was going to run towards. All of a sudden Giant monster looking aliens appeared and their loud steps echoed throughout the Hall that we were in. On top of one of the giant aliens a smaller alien looked at us and made his horns glow which made Aqualad say
"Noooo, nothing odd going on here"
NARRATOR POV
What the young heroes didn't know was that, in the same building, a man was in a lab concocting something called the blockbuster formula. He had finished creating a light blue liquid when the door opened and in came a mask wearing man that said
"Doctor Desmond"
The doctor then replied with
"tell me guardian, what part of no interruptions do you not understand"
"A genome on sub level 26 reports 4 intruders"
"*Sigh* did I miss a perimeter breach alert"
"No"
"Then the Genomes confused, whatever might occur in our lab above ground, the real Cadmus is the most secure place in DC"
"And it's my job to keep it that way"
"Fiiinnnee take a squad"
All of a sudden in the same room a tall genomorph entered, he had two big Horns as well as a cool beard/moustache and he said
"Might I recommend that guardian leaves his genome behind, If violence should occur"
"The little guy would be in my way"
Guardian responded
"NO, the advantage of instant telepathic communications outweighs other concerns"
The good doctors replied while stroking... his little...genomorph buddy [AN: ;) ]
The little genomorph buddy's horns glowed red, and after a second the genomorph on guardian's shoulder also turned red making him turn to the tall genomorph and say
"I need my genomorph with me at all times"
Guardian then bowed and left the room.
WITH THE HEROES YET AGAIN
A door opened revealing all four of the young heroes standing behind, once they saw what was inside they all took a step back and Robin said
"Okay... I am officially whelmed"
Inside the room there was a shit ton of blue containers filled with these monster aliens which looked like it was creating the energy that was needed to power this place. Kid Flash said his first smart thing of the day, Finally,
"This is how they hid this underground facility from the world, the real Cadmus isn't on the grid, it generates its own power with these... things. Must be what they are bred for"
"Even the name is a clue. The Cadmus of Myth created a new race by sowing dragons teeth into the earth"
Aqualad added on before Robin said
"And this Cadmus creates new life too, let's find out why"
Robin then walked towards the computer in the room and started doing his hacker thing that hackers do best...you know...hack. He then said
"They call them Genomorphs. Woah, look at the stats of these things. Super strength, telepathy, razor claws. These are living weapons."
"Sounds like they are engineering an army"
Nathan said his opinion while looking into one of the genomorph tanks before shuddering at their creepiness.
"But for who?"
Kid flash says before Robin decides to add something more to the conversation
"Wait there is something else... Project KR. *he tries to enter the files* Urgh, the files are triple encrypted I can't-"
"DON'T MOVE"
All the heroes heads turn and see Guardian enter the room they were in with a squadron of those genetically created aliens. The man then stops in recognition and says
"Wait... Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, and... who are you?"
"Uhh to be honest I don't really go by anything currently"
Nathan said while Robin smirked at Kid flash and said
"at least he got the name right"
"I know you, you're Guardian. A hero"
Aqualad says with Guardian replying
"I do my best"
"Then what are you doing here"
Kid flash says looking a bit angry
"I am chief of security, and you are trespassing. But we can call the justice league and figure this out"
Guardian replies while putting his hand on his hips
"You think the league is going to approve of you creating weapons!"
"weapons?! What do you me-"
The little genomorph on Guardian's shoulder turned on his horns interrupting guardian making his eyes look almost blank before he grabs his head in pain almost in confusion. He then gains, what looks like, clarity and says
"take them down Now! No mercy!"
All of a sudden the genomorphs try and run towards the boys before Robin throws down a smoke bomb and uses his Grappling hook to get away from the location. The genomorphs rush at the three heroes on the ground with two going towards Nathan.
Nathan's POV
I see these two aliens rush at me and hear a quick {DING}, which I promptly ignore and rush towards the genetic freaks. I use fire to cover my hands and feet before manipulating it to blast the shit out of the closer genomorph. It get's turned into char but that doesn't stop the other genomorph from advancing. I quickly rush towards it and say
"Kyotouryuu: Peony!"
[AN: I don't really have a pic of this fighting style just search up the name of the fighting style and you should be able to figure it out. Sorry]
And my leg rushes ahead of me covered in almost golden fire, with my shoes sadly melting away as if they were snow being thrown into lava. My kick connects, and decimates, the fragile jaw of the genomorph leaving me on one leg with my body to the side almost parallel to the floor. I quickly straighten up and use my Aura of dominance ability to scare some of the genomorphs still which gives Aqualad and Kid flash the chance to get them down. What I didn't see was guardian running behind me and shoulder bashing me to the floor. I hit the ground with my face making resounding thud cracking the top part of my mask making me be a bit angry, I liked that mask. I then ran up and delivered a punch so hot and strong it left a deep dent in Guardians shield. Aqualad then came from Behind Guardian and made his tattoos glow blue before he fired Guardian knocking the Genomorph off his shoulder. We all then ran out of the room as blinking red lights showed up everywhere, we took a turn and saw Robin hacking into a door. We quickly went towards him until Aqualad looked behind him and saw another genomorph squad and said
"We Have company"
"I got it"
I then ran to the back of the group and created a giant flame wave as hot as I could which both blocked the genomorphs path while also turning the closer genomorphs into nothing but ash. The group looked amazed until I turned around and said
"Well hurry up Robin, I don't have years to spend"
Narrator's POV
Robin opened up the elevator door and Nathan slowly backed inside while keeping his flame wave active until he saw the door was about to close and then quickly used his fire feet to fly towards the boys, just managing to stop himself before crashing into Robin.
"Way to be a team player Rob!"
Kid Flash said with a bit of spite before robin said
"weren't you behind me"
Robin replied with a grin on his face before all the boys noticed something
"This elevator is going down"
Aqualad said before Robin replied
"exactly"
"DUDE! Out is Up"
Kid Flash said before Robin replied
"Excuse me, project KR. It's down on sub level 52"
"*Sigh* This is getting out of hand. Perhaps... Perhaps we should contact the league"
Aqualad said making the entire elevator quiet, until the door opened up revealing something that Nathan can only describe as flesh walls... no quite literally it was walls made out of flesh. Robin excited first as Kid Flash said
"we are already here"
To Aqualad, who could only sigh in return. The Heroes then found themselves in a fork on the road meaning that there were only two ways to go making Nathan say
"Soo, which way do we go"
Prompting a
"Yeah, Bizarre looking hallway one or bizarre looking hallway 2"
"HOLD!"
A blue Genomorph said before his horns glowed red and he threw all kinds of explosive barrels at the group forcing them to go down the right hallway, with Kid Flash leading the pack, making him smack into the scientist right in front of the ominous door that they had ran in front of. On the door it said Project KR, making Kid Flash say
"HURRY!"
This made the rest of the guys sprint as fast as they could into the room and Robin making sure that he disables the door as soon as possible. Nathan then went to Kid Flash who said
"Guys... You might want to see this"
He then clicked a button on the control panel revealing that inside of the giant metal and glass tube in front of them was a boy who looked no older then them and bared a striking resemblance to Superman. Kid flash approached the tube containing the clone and said
"Big K little r, of course the atomic symbol for Kryptonite. Do you think that this is a clone?"
"Robin, Hack"
Aqualad said as Robin just dumbly agreed and started hacking and after like 5 seconds he said
"Weapon designation: Super boy. A clone forced grown in... 16 weeks!!! From DNA acquired from Superman"
"Stolen from Superman
Aqualad said
Nathan then walked closer to the tube ignoring everything that the three heroes were talking about since he already knew all of this information. All of a sudden the doors to the test tube opened up revealing Superboy who cracked his knuckles however, it also revealed that all three of the tiny genomorphs horns were glowing. Then Nathan said
"Uhh guys, I think that we are in trouble now"
and before the other three could respond Superboy went as fast as he could and ran with Nathan in his arms before launching him to the ground with Superboy on top. Superboy then proceeded to launch fist after fist into Nathan's face breaking the mask like it was made out of glass. The three heroes then quickly jumped into the one sided fight and helped Nathan, whose face was covered in cuts from the broken pieces of glass, by trying to hold back Superboy, which they failed at when Kid Flash was launched into a giant glass test tube. But Nathan used this time to use the fire on his feet to launch him away from Superboy. He then jumped up and shot a flame piller into Superboys exposed chest blasting Superboy into the wall. This angered Superboy so much that he ran so quick that Nathans unique looking eyes couldn't catch up to him and punch Nathan as hard as he could launching Nathan into a rock pillar knocking him out, as Superboy quickly did the same with the rest of the Heroes. The door to the room was then opened and the Doctor came in and said
"Atta boy"
