- Location: Japan, at a certain hospital

[POV. Kei]

I arrived at the hospital as soon as I heard. Jihye had been taken to the hospital, and I listened to reports about illegal quirk usage. I was worried, but I was resolved to do everything I could.

"Detective Kei, you're here! Jihye's room is this way," the nurse clerk said, guiding me to Jihye's room.

"JIHYE!" I exclaimed as I opened the door. I saw little Henri, Sir Liam, and Henri's father in the room. I immediately came over and grabbed Jihye's hand. "What happened to her, doc?" I asked while looking at my daughter's unconscious face.

"She seemed to have discovered something new about her quirk factor and overused her quirk cells again, due to her lack of practice," the doctor said, rubbing his beard.

"This is my fault... my recklessness got her into this state," Henri spoke up, looking down at the floor guiltily.

"Hey... It's not your fault. Tell me what happened," I said as I placed my hand on her shoulder.

[POV: Third-Person]

Henri nervously tried to explain, avoiding talking about what happened between them.

"Young miss... I hate to doubt you, but your story seems to have holes," Liam said, looking at Kei.

"Don't worry, my princess. No matter what happens, I will make sure to keep you both safe," Henri's dad said in a comforting tone.

Henri looked down, shakily looking at Jihye. "B-but... I ca-" Henri was interrupted as Jihye suddenly held her hand.

"Don't worry... you can tell them," Jihye suddenly said with a tired yet sincere voice.

Everyone was surprised to see Jihye wake up. "Okay..." Henri said, standing up while still holding Jihye's hand.

"Dad, Liam, Mr. Kurosawa... I confessed to Jihye, and she said yes!" Henri exclaimed, her hand feeling cold from anxiety.

"Young miss..." Liam broke the silence as everyone stood there in shock.

"My princess finally found herself a queen!" Henri's dad said, embracing her. "A little earlier than I would have expected, but I'm proud of you nonetheless," he said as tears fell from his eyes.

Seeing her dad's reaction, Henri was surprised to see how supportive he was. "D-don't take my daughter away!! She's the only one I've got left, ple-" Tears and snot covered his face as he was interrupted when he tried to pull Jihye away from her bed, forgetting that she was still recovering.

Thud!

He fell to his knees when Jihye accidentally punched him in the stomach by reflex.

"S-stop embarrassing me..." Jihye said with a flushed expression as she tried to hide her face.

"Nobody is taking me away, dad..." She said as everyone chuckled.

"Don't laugh at me, y-you thieves! She's my daughter!" he exclaimed as he stood up.

"No, Mr. Kurosawa... she's my daughter now too!" Henri's dad also stood up.

"You pig!! Stay away from this!!" he said, looking at his stout body.

"Don't be like that, Mr. Kurosawa..." The argument went on as Kei was not relenting, even as they were told that visiting hours were over.

....

"I'm happy for you, young miss.." Liam said with a smile as he drove towards the Heinrich manor. Henri's dad had something else to do, so they went ahead.

"Thank you, Liam... but now that we're finally together, I don't know what to do. Were you ever in love, Liam?" Henri's question seemed to catch him off guard as he suddenly chuckled.

"Of course... I met her when I was still working as a hero in Germany," Liam said with a melancholic voice.

"Where is she now?" Henri asked with a curious tone. He was silent for a moment before he spoke. "She's still in Germany, working as a hero." He said as he parked the car inside the manor.

"Why aren't you with her?" Henri's question made him freeze as he turned to look out the car window. "Let's just say I made a terrible mistake, i let her down.. and now im too ashamed to see her," he said as he got out of the car, opening Henri's door.

"Be sure to never make the same mistake I did... don't let her down," he said, patting Henri's head. "Don't worry... I won't," Henri said with a determined voice.

"Why don't we tell the chefs to prepare something? What do you want to have for dinner tonight?" He said as he opened the door to the manor.

SLASH!

Liam's arm suddenly bled as he barely avoided an attack.

"Liam!" Henri exclaimed with concern as she tried to approach him.

"STAY BACK, YOUNG MISS!" Liam shouted, making Henri stop as a figure covered in blood walked out of the manor.
