17 A pleasant night

I just glanced at Alice strangely.

" Well that's some good news!" I said excitedly. " It'll allow me to give him a good trashing!" I added.

" Theodore I am sure there is a more civilized manner for us to solve this issue." Carlisle the ever peaceful vampires said while approaching me.

" Oh don't worry, I'll be civilized enough." I said with a smirk.

Esme and Carlisle just gave me a disapproving look. As Edythe and Emmet stood behind them to show their support in case it got physical.

Noticing their action, Rosalie stood next to me while baring her teeth threateningly. Making them understand she'll protect me no matter what.

Both camps faced each other as the atmosphere grew tense.

Seeing the clear division in the family, Alice and Jasper had trouble choosing.

"C'mon guys stop this none sense." Alice said nervously trying to defuse the situation.

A wave of calm hit all of us at once, as Jasper tried his best to keep us from fighting.

Having a clearer mind, I realized I had already exerted my punishment on Edward when I took his arms.

I looked directly at Carlisle before stating, " I shall forgive him this one time. But if he ever get close to my sister without her own agreement. Then you shouldn't worry about a simple beating, but about your son's life."

Carlisle, Esme and Edythe seemed to visibly relax as Carlisle extending his hand for me to shake.

" Thank you Theodore, I'll make sure to keep him in check." Carlisle said with a grateful smile.

Alice started clapping with her hands, " Great now that this is all over! Can you take me for a flight!" Alice asked excitedly.

I smiled at the excited Pixy, " Well I don't have to sleep anymore. So let's go!" I told her before leaving through the front door at a human pace.

Rosalie followed right after me while Alice ran out of the door eager to experience flight.

I looked at Rosalie questioningly, surprised she wasn't acting jealous or possessive. " Do you mind me taking her for a flights?" I asked.

" Surprisingly not." She replied with a smile.

" Come On! Hurry!" Alice started saying from the front doorstep.

" Do you want to join us?" I asked Rosalie.

" I'll just watch from the ground." Rosalie answered with a smile.

I leaned in and planted a chaste kiss on her lips, before taking off at vampires speed toward Alice. Grabbing her by her midsection in the process and taking flight.

An excited squeal left Alice's mouth as we disappeared behind the cloud ceiling. Leaving Rosalie at the door, who kept looking at our disappearing figures with a smile on her face.

Jasper soon joined her at the front door, as he too sported a contagious smile.

Me and Alice flew around for a total of 3 hours. At first we stayed in Forks but after a little while we started exploring Washington as a whole and some small islands on it's coast. We took a couple of dips in the sea through our flight as we didn't need to breath. Our little adventure was exhilarating. And as it was coming to an end we promised each other to go on another one soon.

I flew us back to the Cullens residence where we found our respective mates still waiting for us at the front door.

" Hahaha! Theo Stop your disgusting!" Alice said while laughing as I was currently dangling a seaweed toward her face.

Alice quickly got out of my grasp and ran toward her mate to hide in his embrace.

Seeing Rosalie's dumbfounded look, I quickly threw the seaweed on the ground and sported a sheepish smile while looking at her.

I walked up to her and hugged her smaller frame in a tight hug. " I missed you!" I said while squeezing the life out of her.

Rosalie smile as she reciprocated the hug. Sniffing my clothes, she looked up at me. "You smell of the Ocean." She remarked.

" Me and Alice went for a little underwater exploration." I said.

I could hear Alice in the background as she started explaining all we did to Jasper while going inside the house.

" You'll have to take me sometimes." Rosalie said.

" I can do that." I said with a smile.

" let's go to my room, There's still 5 hours before sunrise." Rosalie said as she took my hand and walked me to her room.

I followed after her till we reached her bedroom. And proceeded to lay on her bed.

Once inside Rosalie took a couple of clothes and went into the bathroom to change. Still not comfortable in showing me her naked figure.

A couple of second later she exited her room's bathroom in a beige tank top and some brown booty shorts. She quickly got under the covers of her bed and snuggled in my arms. So we could cuddle.

" So what do you usually do all night?" I asked her.

" I either read some magazines or look up new cars and different information about them." She replied with her head buried in my chest.

" Any new models that you're interested in?" I asked.

" Well there's this new Pagani Zonda Roadster that they plan on releasing next year that has been on my mind. I mean that car is amazing..." Rosalie quickly got animated as she started talking to me about this new car coming next year.

I just kept listening to her as I asked some questions here and there while she did most of the talking. I liked how interested and passionate she was about anything related to cars. In those moments she stopped looking like the Ice queen she was known to be, but looked like a simple teenage girl who was passionate about a subject.

After a couple of hours Rosalie, stopped talking as she looked at me unsurely. " I'm not boring you am I?" She asked a little embarrassed as she realized we've been talking about cars for the past couple of hours.

" No you're not." I retorted, " I'm really interested in the subject." I added.

The light emanating from her gold eyes once she heard that, made it all worth it. I didn't know a lot about cars. Barely anything but if said subject passioned my girlfriend who was I not to listen.

A couple more hours later, Rosalie and I finally had nothing else to say about the new Pagani. I found myself surprisingly knowledgeable about the subject at the moment.

With my new Vampire powered memory I only needed to hear something once and it was permanently stored in my head.

" Hey Rose?" I asked while stroking her blonde hair.

" Mmm?" She grunted still in my embrace.

" What are these powers Alice talked about earlier?" I asked, " I thought I was the only one with any special abilities."

" Oh yeah I haven't told you yet. Well we vampires call them gifts. Certain individuals after they're turned seem to gain some mental or physical abilities."

" These Ability are normally related to your human lives. Some abilities are minor like Carlisle, Emmet or mine. Carlisle gained the ability of self control and managed to prevent himself from drinking human blood without a problem. Thus why he can work as a doctor and never slip up. Emmet gained the ability of strength likely due to his muscular body as a human. He is the strongest in term of brute strength in our Coven. As for me I gained enhanced beauty. Making me a more beautiful vampire than the others. Not really a useful gift." She scoffed.

" As for major abilities, we have four in our Coven. Jasper can manipulate anyone's emotions. Edythe and Edward can read people's mind. And last but not least Alice can see the future." Rosalie said.

I raised an eyebrow at her explanation, " If Alice can see the future how come she didn't prevent me from getting turned. And confronting those vampires a couple of days ago?" I asked.

" Well, her gift isn't perfect it has certain flaws. Every decision change affects the future as a whole. Add to it the fact that she never met the ones who came up with a plan. And your impulsive reaction to it all. And it's pretty understandable that she didn't see anything coming before it was too late." Rosalie said.

(A/N Alice's power are weird and are changed throughout canon for plot reasons. And it's flagrant. If you read her powers description then by all means she should have seen the newborn army coming. Since for it to start Victoria clearly decided to create a vampire and make him produce and army for her. That simple decision etched in stone should have prevented the army from getting too big. Since the moment it is made Alice should see it. But no they decide to nerf her powers. And justify it by saying she had never met the newborn responsible for the army. So that's what I'm going with.)

I simply nodded, " And you say Edythe and Edward can read my mind?" I asked.

" Well they can read everyone's except yours and your sister's . It must be due to your abilities. As for your sister, Who knows maybe your sister is like you and she has control over the weather or some other weird gift. But it wouldn't surprise me if she is the same as you. Since Twins generally inherit the same gift. Edward and Edythe are a prime example." She said.

" Or maybe I'm just a special case." I said cheekily.

" A special case indeed." She added while snuggling deeper in our cuddle.

We kept laying on Rosalie's bed, in a comfortable silence. For the rest of the night. Not that there was much time left before sunrise.

Till we heard the front door of the house opening and closing. We concentrated on our hearing, till we heard the all too familiar velvety voice of the new arrival.

We could hear Esme and Carlisle greet Edward as they started explaining to him what had happened in the past few days.

From my outburst, my warning to how he lost his arm. They started telling him everything in detail in hope that their stupid son would comply and not make the mistake of provoking me.

" Should we go down stairs?" Rosalie asked.

" Sure." I replied with a slight smirk.
