18 Chapter 17

Croagunk snuck out of the cave silently, careful not to wake the others up, when he was outside he ran back to the lake, he climbed the side of the waterfall to reach the top, he then made his way back to his homeland, he arrived fairly quickly and he was right infront of the bush to there his home he excitedly ran through the bush into the clearing, but he couldn't believe what he saw, he fell down on his knees and started crying.

Blood everywhere, bodies of his family lying down on the ground lifeless, he couldn't believe this, how could he have made this happen, he failed his friends and he failed his family, angry and in tears, Croagunk set out to find rhe leader of the mightyena clan, he remembered were they were located, dashing back through the bushes, Croagunk hurriedly ran towards there clan.

Meanwhile with Alex

Alex woke up in the middle of the night, as he was feeling thirsty, he drowsily rubbed his eyes as he walked over to the bag in the corner, he took out a bottle of water and started drinking it.

A little while later he finished drinking the water and placed back the empty water bottle back into his bag.

As he was getting ready to go back to sleep he realises something.

"Where's Croagunk."He said, he swiftly looked around the cave, but there was no sign of him, he tried talking to telepathically but he couldn't get a hold of him, getting worried he ran out of the cave and called out his name, but there was no response.

Meanwhile with Croagunk

Croagunk was getting closer and closer to there clan, although he was angry he knew that he was largely outnumbered he thought about asking Alex, but he didn't't want to get his trainer into any of his affairs and get him hurt.

Now close to there territory Croagunk covered himself in mud as he didn't want them to pick up his scent, he the countinued on his way no infront of there territory he hurriedly climb on one of the trees, he looked around the area to see Poochyena's all standing guard, he had a plan but he wasn't sure that this was the right time as he remembered that they would switch shift's, and he was worried that if another group was coming that he would have more trouble than necessary, and potentially get caught.

He waited for a few minutes and just as he suspected another group came to switch places with the first group of Poochyenas, he waited until the old group was gone, and then proceeded to strike.

The group was separated from each other by atleast 15 feet and Croagunk

would use that to his advantage, he strategically ordered which ones he was going to strive and then he started to attack, using venoshock poision shot out of his fingers, the poision hit one of the Poochyenas in it's eye it screamed out in pain, alerting the others, moving swiftly Croagunk moved to the Poochyena at the farthest end as he was the one farthest from the rest, and again shot poison into it's eyes, it screamed in pain causing the rest of the group to stop and look around in confusion 3 of them went to the first noise while the other 3 went to the next one, seeing an opportunity Croagunk jumped down from the trees and ran towards the opening in the center after running for a couple of minutes he finally came across the cave the members sleep in.

He decided to make his visit brief he would just kill the leader to take revenge, and after that it would be pure chaos, each member would have to fight to elect a new leader killing other and thier numbers would dwindle greatly, weakening them, although it sounded cruel, that didn't stop them from killing

Croagunk's family.

Just as he was going to go inside of the cave he heard a voice from behind him.

"What do you think you tying to do?"
