34 Your Problems Are My Problems

Jiang Xia spoke as if he was being helpful, and he did look like a kind person with his outgoing and positive image. She might have been really grateful if she was trying to patch things up with the Qiao Family. 

But Jiang Xia was too young to be as scheming as he was in Jing Yunzhao's previous life, and he underestimated what Jing Yunzhao had in mind.

"Are you this helpful to everyone, Jiang Xia?" Jing Yunzhao asked emotionlessly. 

Jiang Xia's mind went blank for a second. 

"Not really, it's just that you seem helpless about your situation and since we are deskmates, your problems are my problems now. I will help you, so don't worry," said Jiang Xia, blushing slightly. 

Jiang Xia looked into Jing Yunzhao's cold eyes and realized that the girl he had always looked down on was actually rather beautiful. She had fair skin, giving her an innocent image, but she also had a cold aura and aggressive temperament unlike Qiao Hongye who was easy to get along with. In his opinion, a good girl was a girl who was lovely and sensible. 

"There must be something wrong with your eyes. Where did you see that I was helpless about my situation? Also, we are just deskmates, not husband and wife. Is it not inappropriate to say that my problems are your problems?" Instead of getting angry, Jing Yunzhao smiled and said teasingly.

Being a teenager still, Jiang Xia blushed even more when Jing Yunzhao said 'husband and wife', but also grew annoyed at Jing Yunzhao's attitude. 

"We are all classmates…" Jiang Xia tried to explain. 

"Just man up and court Qiao Hongye if you have a crush on her. I won't tell the teachers about it, but please don't get me involved in any way. Also, I don't like it when people get too close to me, so please don't come too close or touch anything of mine on the table," said Jing Yunzhao straightforwardly. Her voice was not loud, but Jiang Xia heard every word she said clearly and was stunned. 

At this age, image was very important, especially to someone like Jiang Xia. He had always hoped that his classmates would look at him differently after he became the class monitor, and he had even hoped for more girls to have a crush on him.

Close? Jiang Xia looked at his hand that wasn't even close to Jing Yunzhao's table, and the only thing of hers that he was touching was the corner of the book that she was reading. 

"How are you so ungrateful?" Extremely upset, Jiang Xia raised his voice. 

Though the classroom was noisy to begin with, the other students were only talking to each other softly and it was clear when Jiang Xia yelled at Jing Yunzhao. 

Being good-looking, a good student, and the class monitor, Jiang Xia was rather popular in class. Many girls were attracted to him, and they immediately thought that Jing Yunzhao had done something bad again when Jiang Xia yelled at her so loudly. 

All other students were stunned to hear Jiang Xia yelling and the classroom quickly fell silent. 

"We are all classmates, Jing Yunzhao, why draw the line? As the class monitor, it is my duty to help you out in your situation. You are still a student, how are you going to survive without your parents? You shouldn't just cut them off like this when your father had raised you without asking for anything in return. Look at how Qiao Hongye behaves and how she never got herself in trouble. I am sure your father would love you even more if you learn from her…"
