51 Lu Jia’s Ending

What Lu Jia was involved in was rather serious so her parents had decided to withdraw her from the school. 

As for Lu Jia's eldest cousin, although it was an unintentional assault, he was charged and imprisoned for obstructing justice and worsening the victim's condition by delaying calling the police. 

As for Lu Jia, since she was underage, her guardians were held liable for her actions and had to pay compensation. Her father ended up falling out with his sisters, and her aunts did not dote on her like they used to, hating her instead. 

On the other hand, the way Jing Yunzhao was treated at school changed after the incident. 

Regardless of whether the students had ignored or disliked her before, most of them now feared Jing Yunzhao.

"What can I do when it's their mouths and their freedom to say whatever they want?" 

Jing Yunzhao had actually started feeling helpless about it. She did try to clear her name and fix her reputation at first, but the incident with Lu Jia happened just when it started getting better. Who would befriend her like Su Chu and Xiao Haiqing now that everyone knew that she wandered around dark alleys at night and knew martial arts? 

Even Su Chu started to look at her strangely, and couldn't help but ask Jing Yunzhao if she had done any other heroic deeds in the past. 

"Even outsiders know that you are violent now," Xiao Yaoqing snickered, then continued, "you are as thin as a stick though. Violent? You look like you'll be blown away by the wind at any second." 

"Ever seen someone as thin as a stick eat three bowls of rice?" Jing Yunzhao asked cheekily. 

Her appetite had increased ever since she started practising martial arts, to the extent that it horrified Xiao Haiqing. 

"By the way, Ye Qing's birthday is next Saturday," Xiao Haiqing whispered, glancing at the commissary in charge of studies who was sitting in front of them.

"What does that have to do with me?" Jing Yunzhao asked with a cynical smile. 

Jing Yunzhao got along well with straightforward and down-to-earth people like Xiao Haiqing. Ye Qing was more like a princess who always looked down on others, and would always consider the benefits of befriending someone before doing it. 

"Think about it, silly. Someone like Ye Qing would not miss a chance to show off, especially on her birthday. I heard that she made a reservation at Xiang Hai Restaurant and invited almost everyone in this class, except… you," Xiao Haiqing said with a smirk. 

Jing Yunzhao's mind went blank for a second. 

She was antisocial in her previous life, and had not received any invitations or attended any gatherings at all. 

Who would invite her now when her reputation was so much more scarier in this life? 

Having said that… 

"Isn't that nice though? I don't have time for it anyway." Jing Yunzhao was actually quite happy about not being invited. Time was so precious and needed to be used wisely.
