56 Has She Gone Mad?

Xiao Haiqing was wearing a black coat, her long hair combed into a bun. She looked smart and mature despite not wearing any makeup. 

"I'm late because I went to get some cash. Are Ye Qing and the rest here already?" Jing Yunzhao asked, raising a brow. 

"Of course they are! They came early and are already in the hall. They even sent their regards and said that she could order some dishes for us if we couldn't order as much as we want," Xiao Haiqing scoffed, rolling her eyes. 

How awful! 

Xiao Haiqing's intention when she refused to join the celebration was not to compete with Ye Qing but to tell the class that Jing Yunzhao wasn't someone they could bully as they pleased, but Ye Qing had totally overreacted. They had tried to ignore Ye Qing even though she had been talking bad about them behind their backs, but it seemed like that only upset Ye Qing even more.

"We'll order a few more dishes then if that is what she wants. Let's go." Jing Yunzhao grabbed Xiao Haiqing's arm and walked towards the private room that they had reserved. 

Xiao Haiqing's mind went blank for a second at Jing Yunzhao's response. 

Jing Yunzhao was never this carefree. What was wrong with her today? Had she gone mad? 

The confident smile Jing Yunzhao had on her face transformed her, and she looked lively and young compared to her usual cold and emotionless expression. 

And it was all because of the three million that she had just earned. 

Jing Yunzhao wasn't just going to stop working hard just because of what she earned today. The amount of money the old Mr. Xu had taken out so easily made her realize just how wealthy one could be, and she was determined to work hard to get there. 

The Jing Yunzhao of her previous life had lived in the dark her entire life with no opportunity to handle money or explore a career that she might be passionate about, but God had given her a second chance. 

With the secret space within her jade bottle, she could feel her life changing tremendously within a very short period of time. She used to think that she should just go with the flow as long as she lived this life better than her previous life, but what happened today had changed that completely. 

She can't be satisfied with just three million. 

What she wanted was a life with unlimited possibilities. 

What was there to be afraid of when she had already died once? 

Both Jing Yunzhao and Xiao Haiqing were amazed by the interior as they stepped into the hall. There were over ten floors in the restaurant, and at the very centre of it was a hollow column that glowed. Attached to the ceiling was a huge, luminous chandelier and beneath that was a small koi pond with red and golden koi fishes swimming about happily. 

While there were over a hundred tables in the hall, it did not look cramped since the tables were placed far away from each other. The arrangement highlighted how wide the hall was while also providing the diners privacy and peace. 

The two tables that Ye Qing had reserved were not that strategically located as they were along the aisle that everyone used. Their tables could clearly be seen from each floor, and were quite uncomfortable compared to the other tables in the hall. 

"You can join our table if they can't get you a table, Jing Yunzhao. It is my birthday and I don't want to make a fuss on such a happy occasion," said Ye Qing smilingly as Jing Yunzhao and Xiao Haiqing passed by their table. 

Ye Qing was wearing a pink winter dress with a short plush coat. While it was fine to wear such attire indoors, she would definitely freeze the moment she stepped out of the restaurant.
