7 Alpha Instinct

The Chairman's expression gradually turned dark. He put back the wireless telephone in the holder and released a frustrated sigh. "Ningzhong... Since your suspicion had gone too deep, let's just go to the Jinzi medical facility. It's located on the far end of the manor."

"Kuan, it's not just a deep suspicion. I never doubted my Alpha instinct. It is telling me that your doctors have taken my second child... AH! I can't think of anyone else who would dare do this to our Lan family. And I know that your Jinzi doctors had been secretly making a pill from the subdominant pheromones that were sold in the black market."

"I won't deny that my family had been producing various pills for Weifeng. But, your son is not even subdominant," the Chairman managed to argue. In fact, he only heard about the rumor that was spread by Physician Lan's son. He did not know what really happened to the boy.

Out of a sudden, Physician Lan released a purple wisp of fierce pheromones around his body. His hand grabbed the collar of the Chairman and his fist almost landed on his face. Fortunately, Chairman Jinzi's reflex was fast and he was able to dodge the punch right on time.

"I don't have evidence yet, but, I could tell that someone induced hypnosis pills into my second child when the rumor started to circulate. Since I can't ask you with calm words, let's forget about the old times----"

"Ningzhong, that's not it!" the Chairman angrily yelled. He then pulled Physician Lan's wrist and dragged him out of the visitor's hall. "Let's go to the doctor's quarter and see it for yourself!"

"Release your grip or I'll make your hand paralyzed," Physician Lan spoke coldly behind him.

The Chairman was quick to retrieve his hands. "Then, stop releasing your pheromones. This is my place. How could you lose your temper this easily?"

"Hmmph! I've been doing great control of my temper, Kuan. If we exchange our place in this situation... I'm saying that if it's your son who's missing, you've probably charged and attacked all Alpha family right away," Physician Lan sighed, and the purple wisp that he released slowly dissipated in the air.

Chairman Jinzi turned quiet as the terrifying thought came to his mind. If it's his son, Weifeng, it would not only be him who would lose control. The entire Jinzi family would probably turn the Xerulean City upside down.

"I was insensitive. My apologies, Ningzhong" he could not help but express.

"My eldest child, Chuntian... She manifested as subdominant last year. I'm telling you this secret because you are the head of the Jinzi Family. I won't allow my daughter to be the subject of your medical experiments either. She is the most precious thing I have."

"Ningzhong, you are confirming the rumor, right in my face? Ahhh, I've always respected the Lan family just as your family respects my Jinzi. Don't worry, my mind is clear. I would never ask the doctors to experiment with your daughter. Chuntian was a lovely girl. Your child is also like my child," Chairman Jinzi said with a firm tone.

"Heh. But, your servants are too bold. Even if you don't ask them, they already kidnapped my second child. Let me make it clear once and for all, Kuan. Don't touch my family. Discipline and control your servants properly. The next time anyone harms my family member, don't blame me if I kill them right away," Physician Lan declared. However, he suddenly remembered his daughter's words and slightly shook his head, "No... killing is too merciful and generous. I'll make sure they suffer pain and wish to die instead."

As the two reached the farthermost area of the Jinzi Manor, a heavy vault door was placed with various sensors on it. Physician Lan was familiar with the door as it was also the same equipment that he placed in Chuntian's residence.

As they stood a few steps away from the door, the sensor device started scanning their identities. After half a minute, it recognized Chairman Jinzi's data, and the vault was automatically unlocked. With a sharp clicking sound, the door slowly moved to the side.

The moment the doorway was fully opened, the two Alpha could not help but wince at the atmosphere that welcomed them.

"T-This is the Devourer Scent?" Physician Lan was quick to speak his mind loudly. The dense and dark pheromones were too hard to ignore. In fact, the atmosphere of the place felt like it was challenging their countenance and sanity. Even with their ability, the place still had a suffocating air around it.

"Hmm. Most doctors wear masks when they come inside this facility. Every day, Weifeng would discharge his pheromones here so it really accumulated. That's why I put the most suitable vault door," Chairman Jinzi responded and gestured for Physician Lan to enter the facility.

"Devourer Scent has this effect already. If your son experiences his first rut, this pheromone would explode. How do you plan to contain this aggressive pheromone? I felt like vomiting just by standing here," Physician Lan subconsciously commented. As a physician, it was a normal reaction to express a concern to a patient. But then, he remembered that he came there for a different reason. "Well, you must have a thorough plan already. No need to tell me. Where is your doctor's office, Kuan?"

"On the first room to the right. Come," Chairman Jinzi sighed and pointed to the door.

Physician Lan regulated his breathing first before he pushed the door open. He strolled straight into the room towards the end of the room where a patient's bed was located. No, it was actually where the figure of his son could be seen, laying unconscious. He completely ignored the three doctors sitting at their desks and directly picked his son.

Chairman Jinzi glanced at the doctors and realized that they had strangely frozen. Even with the surgical masks on their faces, the shock and disbelief expressions were still obvious in their eyes. With such an expression and the missing son inside their office, he could not help but glare at them.

It turned out the accusation of Physician Lan was not just a mere suspicion at all! His family doctors were really involved!

"How bold of you to kidnap the second child of the Lan family!" Chairman Jinzi spoke coldly. "Speak. Who gave you the orders?"
